20 yrs ago I described this eponymous lp to a friend as 'our generations pet sounds' - revisiting now i feel validated. wholly underrated lot that coral.
The early 2000s was my era in music, I am only here after discovering their debut album re-entered the uk top albums at #7 and at the same time a band around that era stereophonics have got the #1... pretty cool some people out there care for the alternative to pop music out there
Oh man, this is so good 💜 I love this song so much (and The Coral discography as a whole) it means a lot to me. Please consider remaster all your videos 🙏🏽
I was working in quiggins when this was made, your vid guys and Jon came in and loaned some of the props from me in the video ( I used to look after the back of the shop with all the junk)
I rember when I was just starting to ride bmx and this song came out loved the song and I was like know way there riding terrible one bars standard bars and I had the same Hoffman jump bars.
ooh! a recent remaster. I heard Adele's version of this song and I absolutely love it. She kills it! I hope she records a version of this song. Scrubs!
Serious question lads. How does one go about remastering something recorded this side of the 21st Century? Asked this same question to Stereolab, didn't get a straight answer. I can understand why it's important to remaster old 60s and 70s recordings, EQ-ing up the detail, making the sound fuller. But remastering a 2002 recording which was made using state of the art equipment and modern production expertise? Don't get it las? The cake was baked to perfection. Tastes as good today as it did back then. Where is there to go? Or do you really mean, "baked louder"? I'll always remember the recording was unusually 'airy' and quite punchy for the era. Are we to expect the intricate dynamics have been sacrificed to the God of "don't care it sounds good in the car"?
@@tezza7 since then, have checked out the wave form. They've pushed the levels up a bit. That's the extent of the 'remastering'. It's a bit of marketing fluff to sell new copies of the record.
Bring back cheap beer and quality music! NO PHONES ALLOWED!! Like back in the day when life was simple.
This is one of the greatest British groups amazing

'J.D.' Dorian and Elliot Reid SCRUBS FOREVER!
Remaster "In the Morning"
They probably will when they bang out the 20th anniversary of Invisible Invasion.
No more iconic intro for me than Duffy's opening bassline.
It's the same as Macc'a bass part from 'Help!'
The anthem of the early millennials
actually one one of my favorite songs

I think the title is saying the video is remastered for HD?
