More Late Summer Pre-Bonsai Pruning

  • In this video I prune some Monkey ear, Coral bean, Wax turtles and ficus trees. Its a wet one !

    The only thing I love more than experimenting is watching someone else experiment on their material 😂😂. Can't wait till the data roll in!!

    You've got some interesting species there J. I like seing people experiment with species less common for bonsai.

    I’m hoping you get some nice branching from these prunings. The trees are looking healthy. I’m hoping for a loooooonnnnnng Autumn. 😂🍺🍺

      They're calling for a warm autumn here, I may have to bring a couple trees outside here and there some days 😀👍

    I am sure the monkey ears will bounce back easily. I hard pruned my silk tree and it comes back strong every time!

    Like monkey ear trees but was under the impression they were hard to grow in cold climate. And you are in Canada! How do you solve winter care? Nice prunning vid!

      I bring them inside and put them under lights, just regular fluorescents. They've done ok so far, hopefully they'll live for a long time. 🤞
