None of the COD's from now will ever feel like this game. Farming shipment while doing online lessons, warzone with the boys, the late nights knowing you didnt have to get up early the next day and were encouraged not to leave the house. This seemed to be at the center of it all for a while. Really high bar set by activision that they just arent meeting any longer.

Vanguard uses the same game engine of MW19. From MWII onwards they used IW9 game engine which is also the same used on Warzone Mobile. And yes, it looks like trash

Exactly bro. Mw19 is just superior in every way. Also for the entire gaming community. It brought back so many streamers, and also made a lot of names through warzone.
The MWIII guns are not just arcadey in how they sound and behave.
The worst part is that they look unbelievable (in the wrong way). A lot of them defy the laws of physics, they wouldn't even function IRL. I can't suspend my disbelief to that extent.
The "SVA 545", the double barrel over-under M4, or the F2000 with REMOVABLE STOCK (copied from Vanguard) they are about to add in the reloaded update...
It just plain and simple sucks. I refuse to use MWIII guns.

Well to answer that question. I waited 4 years to buy this game because I didn't had any money back then, nor pc to run the game. Now I have both. And also yes, I bought the game on sale for 20€

I will be honest, what makes COD MW2019 different from MWII and MWIII (Actually it is MWII.I) is the gun sounds, graphics, realism, campaign and seasons. The Campaign was an extremely good campaign set in a modern era and we got back Price and Gaz and we had new characters introduced like Alex, Farah, Hadir and Laswell, the gun sounds were realistic asf, the graphics and lighting, don't even start me on that they were perfect but the dark corners and shadows not so much and making operators wearing dark clothes look invisible in the dark. It had operators which looked tactical and special forces and operators which looked goofy like the anime ones and haunting of Verdansk. The MW2019 story continued with Multiplayer and Warzone
The only thing that held this game back imho was the map design but looking back I actually miss them. I think CoD is at its best when it has a mix of 3 lane and non-linear maps.

yes agreed that mw19 was an awesome game and the best one to put to rest the shit reputuation cod had for years before 2019. But tbh, MW22 continues on with everything good about 19, if not improved upon them too. No comment about mw23 aka mw22.5, which was supposed to be dlc instead of glorified dlc, and maybe it did good things with its multiplayer (sort of, not really) but yes overall it was a mistake of a game with good cutscenes and story, but not better than either its predecessors in the same series.
Movement in this game is unmatched
I'd adgue its the lack of movement. Until BO4 all the games had advanced movement that was so wacky. All they did was add slide cancelling and tactical sprint. I think the fluidity of the movement is what feels really good.
The fact that developers could release updates to mw19 to this day but they dont do it so people will buy new cod games

What makes it realy interesting is that a lot of what makes this game good was accidental. The devs wanted a slow paced game ehere everyone had unique guns and crouchwalked everywhere. The combination of slide canceling (unintended) and the recoil of every gun being too low, even with stuff liek no stock made it way faster.
With mw2 the same devs actually realised their vision. Guns were innacurate. Movement was slow. Gameplay was more methodical.
I was a bang average player at the time of MW 2019 (not that I've improved much since then), but I can't exactly put my finger on what it was about that game that encouraged a campy playstyle, and that was really frustrating for a casual gamer like me. Admittedly, MW3 is incredibly sweaty but the good thing about it is you're forced to constantly move around the map. Also I personally like the longer TTK of MW3 better than MW 2019 which, in retrospect, was too quick.
Kudos to developer for creating this masterpiece 😅
2019 was ahead of its time. I like the animation and textures they put on this. All the other cods feel cartoony

MW19 was such a good, refreshing breath of fresh air for the franchise. It was the first cod I bought on release day since MW3.

mw2019 has the best animations i have ever seen in a cod game when it came out compared to bo4, sad to see future games riding off its success
you see what I want to see, is the sound design and weapon models of this game in the future games
Don’t forget the graphics and texture quality, the zoom in in the menu, you see the most little details in the clothes, the most little texture and pixel, we can’t zoom a lot in the new omes, because they aim’t that detailed

MW2019 made me rage a few times here and there but I still had a lot of fun. I've only played the mw3 multiplayer trial and I just can't get use to the hp increase meanwhile knifers go around like Usain Bolt getting kills with 1 click.
The only thing I hated was when they took away vacant and petrov for no reason.

It was fun until SBMM take me to billion dollar lobbies, didn’t realise it until I searched the internet about why do i always get into crazy lobbies where people play like their life is at stake.

tbh I liked most of the maps in MW2019... You just have to accept that you cannot be agressive all the time. That's just how the game works and that is fine!
I played a bit of this game a couple days ago and it was fun but a bit hard with no fov slider on console. That wasn't a thing until cold war
After finally caving and playing MW3 with my friend who hasn’t played a game since the Xbox360 days. I found that around 80 FOV actually works really well even after getting used to 110 and 120 I found myself going back down to 80 for accuracy as I like to use iron sights on guns that actually have clean sights like the MP7. Even on snipers I find 80 better, might be because I got extremely good at cod on MW19 and it’s just what I’m used to but 80 FOV works great on mouse and keyboard where it’s pretty easy to just look around more. On controller though, I get you.
Visual recoil, perfect. Movement, perfect. Graphics, atmospheric ambiance and sound design perfect.
The only thing that this game did not do perfect was maps and footsteps. That it is. It is superior in every way to the new games.

Never thought I'd feel nostalgia for a game that only came out 5 years ago but its funny how that works. My first cod game was BO2 I played it all the way until AW came out in 2014 the only other cod game I have more hours in is MW2019. When I was 14 and 15 playing AW on my xbox 360 I would buy the old CODs on sale like MW3 and BO1 and play thru the campaign, at the time you could still find find full multiplayer lobbies. I reached max level in MP in every game from COD4 to BO3 before I stopped playing. When MW2019 came out I had been playing on PC for a couple of years so it was like a whole new world playing COD again. It's kind of a trip because some 15 year old kid who played BO4/MW2019 on their xbox one would be 20 now playing MW3. Just like I used to do with the old CODs maybe they picked up MW2019 to see what they missed out on.
