I met Leo and Baba several times over the years (and more recently Bartley). VERY nice people. Leo, in particular was always so kind and warm and welcoming. I'm sure the family really misses him since he passed away in 2016.
Yes indeed they do miss him. Leo was a great man and tremendously entertaining. I was possibly one of the very last of the outsiders to see him in his home before he sadly passed away. I will always remember our short little chat together. Baba aloud me to see him but told me not to keep him chatting too long as he get's very tired. It's so sad that he had to deal with parkinsons desease. Still, I have over 25 years of good times and fond memories seeing him on the stage in the Old Leo's pub as well as the current Leo's Tavern, I know Bartley very well and should have been over there in Donegal to see the New Year in last week but unfortunately this bloody virus has made that trip not possible. I will surely be back in wonderful Donegal someday when normality returns. I miss the area so much having spent over 30 years worth holidaying there and of course getting to know so many people that's including all the Brennan family and of course the Duggans . The friendliest people..
Your language flows friendly and I thank you. Now, as I wish and, am never blessed with her as I wish. I wish for the whole family to keep singing. I can't always have the one I wish for. Joe
So far, the only sibling I see that Enya even closely resembles is Moya. I wonder if she's part of the "second" crew that their mother refers to?? Seems her mom doesn't have much to say about the younger crew.
@@vlnvlaclogbaerhpno No, Bridin' is the youngest I'm sure. Not Enya.. I've known the Brennan family for over 30 years. Mind you I don't think there's an awful lot of years between them.. Nice Family...
It's pretty insane that people are still speaking Gaelic to the point where it's some peoples' first language. It literally is a 2nd or 3rd hand offshoot of the era when Egyptian hieroglyphics became organized in an 'alphabet' form and turned into a written/spoken language for trade purposes. It's older than the Irish people landing on the shores of Ireland, before the Druids, its to the point when you research the root languages and linguistics, that languages like Gaelic and Phoenician or Persian tablature, we don't even really know how old it is, and there are records of it going back to points in history that we have no record of and no clue what was happening at the time at all, beyond carbon dating and geographic records.
Enya's mommy and daddy are so cute!!

I'd like to see something that has
Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin
and Clannad together.
Irish is a wonderful language!! Irish people should speak it properly!! Just few people do!
Enya has 8 siblings!?
Is Monica Brennan ( cd ' Timeless ' ) related to Moya Brennan?
So far, the only sibling I see that Enya even closely resembles is Moya. I wonder if she's part of the "second" crew that their mother refers to?? Seems her mom doesn't have much to say about the younger crew.
Moya is the oldest sibling and Enya is the youngest.
@@vlnvlaclogbaerhpno Enya is the fifth born, out of nine, so she is the middle child. She would be one of the "second crew".

While Maire Brennan usually spells her first name "Moya" in English; "Maura" is another common English spelling.
