This is perfect. I think it's the culmination of "the Missy Higgins sound". It's a combination of all of the previous sounds, wrapped up in something beautifully fresh. Lyrics are incredible. Video is wonderful. At least 2020 got something right.

I'm in tears watching this now, end of 2022, knowing everyone has already forgotten what it was like to see the animals roaming empty city streets, seeing the waterways clearing and the earth just starting to heal from its lengthy bout of Humans, watching each other find ingenious ways to help others and to show love to each other, proving finally that we aren't just a disease destroying a beautiful world, there's good in us too..then it was over and we are just us again. Not different, not better..just us.

Okay, I just wanna say that this one really hit my heart differently.. some people spend so much of their lives working and planning, so that hopefully eventually we get to live, at peace and comfortably. I think what missy is saying is that amidst the terribleness and the distain that’s come from the pandemic, it was also kinda nice to just stop and breathe for a second, for the people who are overhwelmed by their anxiety or social detachment. The machine being our parts in the world, our jobs etc and just wanting to remember “what it felt like to just stop”

The virus did indeed come from China and they indeed did try to cover it up but Trump was not any better. He admitted he did not tell us it was airborne when he knew in January. Trump was acting just like the Chinese government if you ask me all for his own benefit. Now we have 325,000 Americans gone and hospitals over run with COVID patients. I’m 47 years old and that has never happened in this country in my lifetime. Facts are Facts are Facts. No getting around it. He is a complete failure of a leader.
