This is amazing! I have a huge family and as more of my children are becoming school aged its been getting tougher and tougher. I have 8 children and I've been homeschooling 4 of them but this year another one is homeschooling now and the one right under him wants to start now too so I've been getting overwhelmed. This will definitely lighten the load. I also didn't want to give up their lang arts and math with the good and the beautifu bc we all love it and I love seeing their growth with it. I'm definitely going to be following your model next year once we finish American History. Thank you!
ECC was one of our favorite levels. 🥰 We have done all the levels but one and are doing the last cycle [1850 to Modern Times] right now for a couple of our children and next we will be starting they cycle over for our younger group. MFW is actually more affordable in the long run if you have a bigger family because the bulk of it is non consumable. I've done a couple unboxings of the other levels. We love MFW!
Thank you for your videos! We are planning on switching our kids to My Father's World curriculum, and your videos have been very helpful in making that decision!!!
So glad you did this video. Extremely helpful. We are doing this for our next school year. They are incredibly helpful through chat as well. I’ve had so many questions for them and they are so great at answering them all.
I know that this is a year-old video, but had a question about this curriculum. Can you use it without buying the student sheets? Do you think the student sheets are necessary?
Our family uses MFW for our family subjects. I would highly suggest getting the read aloud Kingdom Tales. My kids absolutely love it. I love how they take a fairy tale & tie it all back to God. At the end of every chapter there are discussion questions that wrap everything together with valuable Christ centered life lessons.
We are also going through ECC. I have found it more suitable for my middle schoolers in a lot of ways. Definitely one to repeat if you have a third grader like I do. It's a very good geography course! I also love Notgrass 😊
This is so helpful! We loved Notgrass history, and have been a little lost after we finished what to do next. This flip through answered all of my questions. Love this! 💕💕
Wouldn’t be awesome if all of the homeschool TH-cam moms and all of the people who watch their channels got together and went to a women’s conference or something? Talk about a dream! Lol great video Kristie:) looking gorgeous as always ♥️
This is super helpful. I bought a used set since they no longer sell the basic package. I am super intimidated by it. We are a Notgrass family too and this year we are doing the 50 States. To go from one geography year to another I think my son would get bored. I wish I did this a couple years ago with both my kids but, I am graduating one child this year. I think I might resell my ECC. I found Winters Promise and I really wanted him to learn more about Ancient History and since he is a struggling kinesthetic learner and feel Winter Promise offers more of that for him. I am really thinking I am going to switch. I am so bummed because I did piece alot of things together and I just don’t think it will be a good fit. I also didn’t like all the extra books for this and that because as a homeschool mom we have a huge library already. I am still praying about it. He will be in 7th grade next year. I really appreciate how you shared what you do and that might make me rethink my mindset. Thank you!!
@@OneBlessedMess I am still on the fence if I am going to resell or not. I bought it used and he is going to be in 7th grade next year so not sure if I will be able to use it later. Being an avid watcher of your videos I might kick myself if I sell my MFW, lol. Winter Promise is another Bible based curriculum. There are a few TH-cam videos on it but, not much. As much as I love Notgrass my youngest isn’t feeling it as much as my high schooler. Winter Promise seems to offer more hands on activities and it changes things up. This is the one I am eyeing on and pretty sure I am going this route. winterpromise.com/themed-programs/quest-ancient-world/
I know this video is old so hopefully you see this! Does MFW incorporate God into their history/science curriculum? Or do those components seem more secular?
Thank you for the flip through. I loved everything about my father's world but the price made me hesitant because I wasn't sure how it would work for us.
Thank you so much for doing this video! ❤️ I would love to see a DITL! I am looking into using MFW with my kids for next year similarly like you (just geography and culture learning).
I would love to see a video as you d suggested on a day in the life of you using this curriculum throughout the week. Also, do you know if this curriculum works well for combining kids for family subjects when the kids are four years apart? Thank you so much for your time!
I would love to see how you use this for lesson in a week. I use TGTB for math and language for my first grader. I have their science and art and we never get to it and we’ve stopped doing what little social studies we were because it gets to be too much, so I love the idea of having it all rolled into one thing and not each subject is this different thing, I think that would be a lot more helpful!
My youngest homeschooler is in 2nd but I have just helped her along on anything that she may struggle with (like labeling countries.) It has been a wonderful curriculum for her to dip her toes in!
I want to do this so bad for next year, however I really love tgtb for science. I've even purchased units for science that we haven't done. Do you feel I can use MFW for the history component and do good and beautiful for science? I want the history to be rich and will we loose that if we don't do the science component?
Absolutely won't lose that if you use something else for science! They're two completely different components in MFW! Definitely stick with what you love, Mama!

Excellent!! Thankyou so much for the detailed walk through of this book..!!!!!!!💕💕💕
Doing ECC, 2022-2023 Lord willing! Thanks for the different options you showed in your video😍.

YES!! I love that we can cycle back through in the future and reuse everything! 👏👏
Thank you for your videos! We are planning on switching our kids to My Father's World curriculum, and your videos have been very helpful in making that decision!!!
I love hearing this!! 🤍

I know that this is a year-old video, but had a question about this curriculum. Can you use it without buying the student sheets? Do you think the student sheets are necessary?
Thank you for being here! The student sheets were a great added bonus, but you could totally tailor the curriculum your own way!
Good morning, Mamas! ☕️ I hope this video was helpful! 🤍 Let me know what else you'd like to see on my channel!!

Ooh this is my absolute dream!!! I would love to just book a huge chalet in the mountains of TN for a big homeschool mom retreat!
We are using ECC next year and I would love to see a day in the life video.

It is super intimidating at first for sure!! Tell me more about this Winter Promise!

Love the video and would love to see DITL! What did you use for science and geography/history prior?
We used God's Design for science and Notgrass History for history! We focused on the states last year for geography 😊
What grade did you start your littles on the exploring countries and cultures?
My youngest homeschooler is 2nd grade and it has been great for her!

What is the earliest age do you think to do this curriculum for the exploring countries? I would love to see a week in a life.
My opinion is 3rd is a bit young and that is MFW recommended age

Love that shirt! Where is it from ?
American Eagle! 😊
