- Full Custom Ian Roussel Gaps The Window And Reconfigures The Window Door Frame On A 1941 Chevy Chop
We had a wind event out here in the wild Mojave Desert, and it ruined, or almost ruined one of Ian's projects, a 1941 Chevy Coupe body. The roof was beyond reparable, but Dave from @RileyRestorations came to the rescue with a 1941 Chevy Sedan. The rest is chop top history in the garage in Mojave.
Ian is getting in the metal work on this beauty, and is creating art and showing just how involved metal working and sculpting can be

“Who are the only people that don’t make mistakes….LIARS!” 👍🤣
Can't tell you how happy I am to see your new utube channel personally I don't know anything about custom auto work what I enjoy seeing is how your artistic blend of work and inspiration meld into one of a kind builds.
All without the TV drama crap
Thanks for posting
@@davelawrence6777 Fun fact...neither did I! ~ Jamie
Hi Jamie I'm new 2 months ago, when are the T-Shirts going to be restocked, their sold out of my size
I remember waiting every year for new episodes of Ian. And now with Jamie I can follow along with all the projects. While I never plan to restore/build cars, these episodes are a bit like Bob Ross to me. Just pure viewing enjoyment. Thanks Ian and Jamie for the great channel and content.
Thank you! We are glad to be here! Appreciate the support!
Me as well!!! Im in New Zealand!!
me too. In Adelaide, South Australia
Same here. , Ian has this great almost hippy vibe doesn't get frazzled. You can tell he enjoys his craft.
Hello Jamie and Ian, Nice to see you back. It’s lonely, boring and sad without you two.
We missed you as well!
"What do you call people who don't make mistakes?" I love it!! And for those folks that can't understand why these vehicles are so expensive, I challenge them to watch your videos to see just how labor intensive they are! Great work, as always!👍
Ian amazes me with his free cutting, no measurements just eye ball it a go! Very talented!
I agree, just pure talent and great imagination
The flat metal gap filler and bridge piece were genius. Takes a craftsman and an artist with vision. And speaking of craftsmanship, Jamie, your filming, editing, music, and presentation have become top drawer! Keep it up and the production crew for Full Custom Garage will be stopping by for a few tips! All of the hard work by both of you has made your channel one of the best automotive channels on TH-cam.
Thank you! I am still working on improving the production quality! It is fun to learn! Thank you for watching! ~. Jamie
As a normal petrol head brought up on custom car mags in the 80's I never imagined the detailed work that went into creations such as yours. I love the sheer artistry of what you're doing, and while I love the tv shows you've done, it's excellent seeing the real effort that goes into each and every curve and bend of your amazing vehicles. Thanks Ian and Jamie for giving us this.
Sooo many hours! Thank you!
Jamie and Ian, you've hit the big time!..now get the giant shop built , tons of new tools and lots of people helping fill ur content. Love you two just the way u are.
So much work. That you make look so easy.. That is why I watch, and you build. we make a great team. Thanks for the videos
Could not has said it better myself
Thanks for editing the noise out. I now exactly what kind of hassle it can be. You spend the time doing it one time, and thousands of times we dont have to hear it.
My pleasure! It is time consuming, but worth it!
I have an old DVD where you built a roadster pickup and your steel toed boots were tore up so you took pliers and pulled the steel toes out and welded them to the cowl for air scoops. Very cool touch. Still have that DVD btw
My new T-Shirt arrived. Thank you. And it DOES glow in the dark!!
Ian's command of the death wheel is extraordinary. Master of the death wheel.
For a while I thought you were working with wet toilet paper..... Then VOILA , the window opening had structure..... Simply amazing to watch you work.. THANKS FOR SHARING>
Thank you very much!
A’ CarnalitO purely art! Thank you both be safe!
Fastest 40 minutes going. I could watch Ian for hours
Ian is certainly a master of his trade. The way that that he envisions things in their most particular details is really refreshing and not short of amazing. As a person who does not have at all any of his skills, I just admire what he does. That is why this show is so complementary to his other TV show: You can see how this thinking evolves and how he implements his ideas. In this show you tings happening in front of your yes, in the other show he discuss them a bit and then you see them coming to fruition in stages and in longer intervals.
Carry on Ian and Jamie. Lobe watching this show.
Always a great video merry Christmas to you and jamie and a blessed New year keep the great videos coming
Master Class on metal shaping !
Well done Ian!
This show is. So. So. Much better then .. Bad Chad custom ….Chad just in it for the money he gets for the show! Most of his builds end up in his shed doing nothing ! Ian &. Partner both are humble people … nice to seeeee
Video quality is getting right up there with the tv show vids lately. Your wife is a quick learner
Great to see Ian on U-tube ! I've got a couple of DVD's which I've played a dozen times. If anything his Fab skills have gotten better with the passage if time.
You are an inspiration man it’s a joy to watch you work
Really nice work Ian and Jamie Definitely taking Shape
Ian, anybody who says they never make a mistake isn’t doing anything. Another great video. Thanks.
Freakin’ amazing!!! Thanks for the fabulous fab work!
Ian is the magician with 15 hats pulling rabbits out of all of them
Great video on the art of the chop. Thanks
Out of all your tv shows n video forms, this is the best. Your interaction with the people beats entertaining antics
So true, the interaction is what makes it better.
The 1 thing I like most about his style of fabrication is a lot like mine, I can make anything fit and work. Just cut it, fill it and it will all work out. This man is my hero!!!
You are a master artist thanks for sharing , wishing you a very Merry Christmas
Truly enjoyed this episode!
Wow Ian 👌 you're a GENIUS. I LIKE THAT YOU JUST VISUALIZE IT CUT ,SHAPE AND WELD. I WISH I CAN WELD LIKE YOU 👍.....IM WORKING ON IT.
Bombshell Betty is shaping up!🙂
While I was watching Ian work his magic, I looked at the 👍 counter it was at 54 when I started its screaming up amazing just how many people enjoy watching him work . 👍
Love the way you show how you do everything. Refreshing to watch. Thankyou
Really enjoy you show, what u do is real art. Whether u like it or not it's the journey,
Ian your doing a great job as you always do 👍
Thanks 👍
I have a lot respect for you, you make one change to a car and it will cost you hours and hours of labor, and you go into it with such passion and patience.
I see those sub numbers going up,it’s gaining some momentum but not where it should be for the immense talent of the creators. Thank you Ian and Jamie for sharing these videos. Hit the right buttons people and help grow this endeavor.
Per your opening "WARNING" - despite caution I DID learn that watching "The Roussel videos" are fun - and entertaining.
Thank you Jamie and Ian. Merry Christmas to you both!!!
I love watching Ian Work. Makes something very difficult look so easy.
man this was super love how you reworked those doors.. looks great!
Thanks Johnny!
Outstanding job on the door. Love the way you showed how to bend the metal. Car is going to look great when you are done.
Love the angle of the door frame , it's gonna look awesome as usual
Ian & Jamie, I wish you two a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the coming year. I Have asked Santa to bring Ian a quart of Nyquil for his sniffles. Keep on rocking the Fab. world you two. mike
The window mismatch, is a no problemo. Nothing a little Bondo can’t fix. Love your show. LOL
🟥 A true craftsman 🟥
Now that is going to be a great car when done. I'm with you Ian, 30's and 40's cars are the best. I like 50's also. Think I was born to late. Love everything you do. Keep them coming please. Hello to you and Jamie from Monterey Cal. 🖐🤘
Right on!
You make it look so easy and that’s where you get all these other guys in trouble thinking that they can do the same thing with you. It’s just a breeze and you’re thinking three times ahead of yourself but I love it.
It’s not easy … not at all 😎
Ian has years of experience doing this but this episode I'm praising Jamie for her excellent camera work. She has definitely become a pro and it's the camera work is as much as Ian's experience that makes all these fun to watch. Kudos to JAMIE.
I 2nd that.
Loving this project, can't wait to see it finished. Merry Christmas from down under...
I love the way you aren't afraid to make the seemingly impossible possible. The way you eyeball your present and future tasks and make them seem so simple. I think your lack of fear to tackle tough projects is amazing. You sir are an artist .😊❤
With Ian you become accustumed to most excellent customs!
Hello Everyone,
In France, we watch Full custom Garage,
and enjoy and learn...!
Thank you for your talent.
French :)
Ian, the Metal Artist.
Having to narrow the door depth is the hidden struggle for many. Exemplary skill work from a true talent. Wonderful work.
Ian, you are the master metal fabricator. Really enjoy see watching you work.
The Chevy chop is progressing well. Like the passenger side windows and styling lines. Look forward to your return to the VW... I am biased to bugs!... when you have time. And the jeep, another promising project. Never a dull moment? It's why I tune in!!
True craftsman.
Comment above about Bob Ross. Agreed. Ian just flows and his true inner self shows through. So glad I found his channel😊
Jamie's voice reminds me of the female version of hal 9000.❤. Thank you both for sharing.
We are glad you found us too!
Excellent guys 😊
Thanks for all the great videos.
Looking good. Another great video 👍👍
I watched every second of this video. I love it. I learned more in this video than I learn all the years in school. Now, I did drop in the 9th grade. LOL
Always inspiring, love the music as well!
Hey you two glad you’re back. On this video, I noticed your treat dispenser for your shop inspector. It brought a tear to my eye. I’ve been watching you since way back and I miss your shop inspector Awesome dog

Congrats to both of you for another great episode. Editing is much tighter and flows well. Very good music selection. Thank you

Mr. B. Here ! ☕️☕️🍩🍩👀😎👍 ! Thank you for showing all the viewers why building a vehicle takes time to do it right ! Very cool video. Merry Christmas guys 🎄❄️☃️
It's insane how you make it look so easy! That car is gonna be super phresh when it's done, thanks for the vid you guys!
Really digging the Groovy vibe with the music in the background! Awesome artistry Ian.
Not new here, just a regular needing a Jamie and Ian fix😊🎉 Not Jonesen no more!!❤
Thanks again for another lesson in custom work. Just watching Ian's process of fitting and sizing is a literal tutorial. This is one of the few channels that excites me and makes me want to create in my shop.
Awesome! Glad you’re here and finding inspiration 🙏😎
Ian's Killin it Again...
Love to watch you chop a roof, you are the master! Like to see you chop an E-Type which is beautiful except from the side where the proportions are wrong.
Been watching you since the beginning Ian ! Always love picking up a new trick ! Jamie & you take care ! 👍 Dig your shop !
Awesome episode! Learned a lot. Each video gets better than the last.
Man! Those doors were a pain in the ass! Who knew that a 40 sedan and a 41 coupe were so different??
Thanks Ian and Jamie, you are the best!,Special tribute to Dude, Pawprints in our hearts forever.
Man I think you and your wife work together perfectly also I think your fabrication show is one of the better shows I’ve been watching keep on the grind I love your work.!!!!!👍

The anvil takes me to my youth! My father’s a blacksmith, among other trades (farrier and meat processor).
My first boss used to tell me i was so rough i would break a anvil lol.
Hello Jamie and Ian nice to see you back and well.
Hi Ian & Jamie, I love all the projects and I learn a lot from watching you Ian with welding and fabrication. Jamie, the weird music, in my opinion, doesn't work, it's somewhat distracting. I hope you don't mind me voicing my comment. ~ May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year
I appreciate the feedback! Even Ian thought it was a bit out there, but I think by the end it tied it all together! We appreciate you!
~Jamie
Jamie,, thanks for the reply and liking the feedback. Please let Ian know that what he does teaches a lot of us to move forward on projects. When is the Little Jewel coming back??
Looking cool 👍
Zen and the art of custom fabrication.
Good to see you back was missing my fix of your work Ian ,what amazes me is you got several major projects on the go at once and seems to just flow ,Have to say Jamie your doing a ace job on the videos editing etc and love how you always asking questions on why Ian does this or that
It would look great if you had a classic Hot Rod metal flake on this one // Root beer Brown and honey butter gold w/a Hot orange pin stripe job .
I loved this episode!! Ian you are the wizard of all things metal!! Absolutely loved the music too!!!!!! Awesome!!!
Good job you guys looks badass!
If you've ever seen the Lincoln Zephyr he built for his friend, yrs ago. You'll know how amazing his talent is. Quite possibly the prettiest car I've ever laid these 68yr old eye's on...
