Really cool match up and I hope death battle does it one day
Nice now this sounds like a speedy fight. I bet it starts with poor Polnareff getting separated from the group and getting jumped AGAIN, seriously the guy's luck is garbage.

Wiz: *Clone walks in and wheels off the giant can as another Wiz walks on* And this is why I send out my clones first. Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick. Wiz: And is our job to analyze their weapons armor and skill to figure out who would win a death battle!
The weird thing, Kurapika does have better physicality, higher intelligence (namely through higher discipline) and a wider variety of moves... but the fact that some of them are only specialized for the Phantom Troupe kind of shoots him in the foot against Polnareff and his Silver Chariot. Kurapika's soul-based Nen should mean that he could see and hurt Silver Chariot, but Silver Chariot's _FAR_ superior speed (and that's not counting the armor-less form) and deadly sword skills means that getting in close-range with Silver Chariot is practically a death sentence for Kurapika. Kurapika's best options are either sneaking the Dowsing Chain onto Polnareff or using Steal Chain. But the issue there is that unlike Uvogin, Silver Chariot would be more than strong enough to break apart the Dowsing Chain (via scaling to Star Platinum and other close-range Stands), as well as being fast enough to catch the Steal Chain. Polnareff's straightforward fighting style also means that there aren't really any big tricks for Kurapika's lie-detection to be useful here. Polnareff's Stand is just too fast, too strong, and too deadly for Kurapika's Nen abilities and skills to pull through.
I hard agree that polnereff wins but cause of how the dowsing chain nullifies nen and if in a versus battle you consider them as similar, kurapika should be able to catch polnerefd with it and that would make silver chariot vanish since also polnereff wouldn’t be as quick as silver chariot but 9 times out of 10 polnereff should be able to block it with silver chariot
@@SheionVIDS the Stands move automatically to protect the User is the User themselves is physically too slow to react. This is shown when Star Platinum (a way slower Stand then Silver Chariot) caught a bullet at point blank range when Jotaro tried to off himself with a revolver
@@TheUncivilizedNation yeah I still think polnereff wins but we have seen him get caught off guard by much slower stands like magicians red so him getting tricked and caught is possible just not very likely
Yeah he should be able to see the stand because of nen. it's just too bad that silver Chariot can fight star plantium who's definitely stronger and more durable than kurapika and the massive speed gap makes this virtually impossible
Two avengers who resolced to hint down their family killers... AMD that's it I guess. A clan vs a sister, one killer vs a high class criminal group, an estructurated power system that gives troubles just to get some abilities vs the power of epic bullsh1t, Polnareff gets this even as a turtle.
This sounds Latino as heck! Figured it would sound more French considering Polnareff, but it still slaps. Not my preferred for Kurapika (that would be Scar from FMA), but this seems like an alright alt for him, don't exactly have "the one" for Polnareff, so I guess this takes it for now. Awesome track Yates!
When I first saw another Jojo's track I was apprehensive. When I saw that it was against HxH I was happy. And for good reason. While I don't care in the slightest for the matchup, I do vaguely know that the characters have a very distinct personality and theming to them which I was hoping to find back in this song. And that I did because the track absolutely is as unique and great-sounding as it should. The fact that the track as a whole takes a semi orchestral/semi Spanish folk song approach results in it combining the best of both worlds in a very enjoyable. From start to finish the entire thing is insanely catchy with very fast and powerful percussions that accompany just as fast but very melodic guitars that make the song feel folk-like but also quite intense and even have a few hints of Eurobeat of all things at times (IE: 1:13-1:26) which I find absolutely amazing because of how cool it sounds. I also quite appreciate how much variation the song has as a whole. While it keeps the same serious yet funky/groovy feeling all throughout its duration, it doesn't shy away from having numerous different segments that all sound very unique while still fitting the song. Moments like the break at 1:38-2:03 which feels even more folk-like than the rest of the song, especially helped by the clapping in the background that sounds very singular or as said before the 1:13-1:26 segment that takes a slight electronic feel that makes the song almost sound like an Eurobeat track for its duration which I don't need to explain why it sounds unique. All those moments when combined as a whole result in the track not just sounding good but also feeling extremely dynamic without feeling all over the place due to how they manage to say inline with themselves. The track has a fluid progression that you can tell gets more serious and grand scale as it progresses due to a few key segments (IE: the short but very strong 2:15-2:19 segment which clearly showcases a shift into the final segment of the song) but that stays true to itself. In a way it makes the song feel like an actual dance track where the battle is closer to a duet between both characters as they use their respective abilities to weave and dash around the other's. I barely know anything of either characters but imagine that this battle would be something similar to Shredder VS Silver Samurai where neither fighter actually hits the other directly until very far into the fight as they block and dodge every single one of their opponent's attacks until one of them inevitably goes past the other's strategies and gets a hit in, either ending the fight or causing a massive shift in it. And speaking of the ending, I must mention just how smooth the whole thing is. It's a common theme with the entire song but from 2:19 up to the last note of the song, the whole entire thing feels extremely smooth and catchy which emphasizes this feeling of the battle being dance-like; it isn't like a "regular" fight where the ending would just be a raw increase in scale and power, instead it feels like an increase in speed and skill as the two just dodge at insanely high speed any and all attacks their opponent has before one of them finally gets hit and gets defeated. It's a great way to represent progression and finality in a song without it being a raw increase in power. Makes for a wonderful conclusion to an already great song. Overall this track is definitely a really nice surprise, I was expecting to enjoy it but not much more but instead I ended up really liking it as a whole. Not only does it seem to fit the characters from the little I know of them but it also manages to do so while sounding extremely catchy, dynamic and above all unique. I've read in other comments that apparently the matchup is a total mismatch but I'll be damned if I say that the song itself is bad. Amazing job as always with this.
Interesting matchup. Curious on what the connections are. Unfortunately Polnareff takes this handedly. Many of Kurapika's most potent abilities are mainly effective against the Phantom Troupe not to mention that Polnareff not only outspeeds him by a gargantuan gap but even power wise thanks to scaling from The Sun stand.
@@Sparkizinho the other major point is that both succeeded in their quests for vengeance. Polnareff avenged his sister and he helped Jotaro kill Dio. On Kurapika’s end he was supposed to succeed in killing the entire Phantom Troupe including Hisoka but since the entire story’s on hiatus we might not ever see this success. But it did happen
Imagining the fight in my head, 2:15 - 2:20 is when Silver Chariot sheds its armor and makes Polnareff's victory very clear. I imagine the finishing blow to be something like Polnareff's great heat attack from ASBR. Very good track!
Nice track as always but if I had to say who wins it’s definitely polnareff, if you scale these two using their highest possible ends at the time of me making this comment then polnareff should be able to get to town level all the way up to island level via being able to deflect the sun stands rays of light which was lighting the Saudi Arabian desert while it was night time which takes a massive amount of energy, meanwhile kurapika can at best get to town level - mountain level by scaling to uvogin, killua and gon for example killua survived a fart chemical explosion that has calcs putting it at 6 kilotons all the way up too 71 kilotons which is town level + kurapika also fought and even killed uvogin who in the anime and manga vaporized a crater in the ground which was calcd to be 2 megatons of tnt or small city level while the mangas version gets up to 5 kilotons of tnt or town level uvogin and kurapika would also scale above machi who who was stated to be able to make a thread long enough to circle the globe of hxh, if machi was to pull off this feat she would have to do it in a time frame of 30 minutes to 3 hours since bisky stated those are the max timeframes a novice and professional hunter or nen user can hold there aura and since machi’s thread is made from her aura and by using varying kinetic energy calculations I’ve seen we can get the ke for the 3 hour time frame to 67.12 kilotons ( which is the g1 blog calc ) 671.16 Kilotons ( character profile wiki calc ) and 400 kilotons ( death battles calc ) while the 30 minute time frame has a calc putting it at 2.42 megatons or city level and another calc putting it at 24.16 megatons, uvogin at only 20% would scale to this meaning uvogin at 100% can potentially up scale to 120.8 megatons this is also consistent with how almost everyone in the verse massively up scales cheetu outputting 56 megatons of energy to create his nen field, and as for speed pol also has the edge in this category as since silver chariot can blitz and cut hanged which was calced at over 1000x faster then light, meanwhile the best speed scaling we can give to kurapika without wanking his speed is sub relativist - relativistic since kurapika would scale above to gon by the time of greed island who dodged razors dodge ball and the speed of the ball was calcd at 1.13% the speed of light gon did this with no nen left and we already know more nen equals more power and speed, Kurapika can also potentially scale to killua who can transmute his aura to send and mimick electric signals which travel at 50% - 99% the speed of light, meaning kurapikas speed can potentially get fairly high, but none of that matters if silver chariot is still over 5000x faster then kurapika, even tho I love both jojo’s and hxh i gotta say this is a mismatch and a stomp in pol’s favor.

I believe that Kurapika has a chance if he considers the IQ factor for example and obviously ignores the condition that the chains only attack The Spiders. At one point he is able to block a sequence of shots just by turning a chain attached to his finger, not only that but he can also camouflage the chains so that the opponent only realizes that he is trapped when it is too late, this would be an efficient way of finishing as it prevented the movements of Ugo, and he is superior to the Polnareff as regards strength and destruction; Furthermore, Kurapika has a much wider range of skills as he is a Specialist, being able to heal himself if he takes any damage as well as coating yourself with Nen to reduce this damage, which proved useful against Ugo considering that he was a Fortifier and even more so if we remember that coated Nen nullifies damage merely blunt.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

@@TheUncivilizedNationalso Weather Report stopping WR from offing himself, and D4C auto swapping valentines.
This sounds fast and a feel of determination. Fitting for polnareff
Well there is some Latino inspired songs for French listeners so it’s very fitting for theses two
When I first saw another Jojo's track I was apprehensive.
Who wonder gonna win

This is my favorite soundtrack on this channel, even including ones used in official episodes. It just goes so incredibly hard
I think the main connection between the two is seeking revenge for someone's death
I get both of those but those are rather broad. Usually in match ups there's more reasons total as well as specifics.
True. The commissioner left a response explaining the connections and it goes beyond revenge.
@Spark_Guerra so I guess polnareff it's Dio and his vampire while for kurapika is the phantom troupes eh
Absolutely hype track! Fits both characters really well!
This match up definitely makes a lot more sense now that you brought this up
Now that's a dead Kurapika
Imagining the fight in my head, 2:15 - 2:20 is when Silver Chariot sheds its armor and makes Polnareff's victory very clear. I imagine the finishing blow to be something like Polnareff's great heat attack from ASBR. Very good track!
So freaking awesome!
Kurapika I will say probably with Nen could see the stand........That's about all he takes aside from abilities because that speed blitz goes hard
figures a track based on these guys would be so freaking cool to listen to!
Honestly, a baller song!
BRAVO! BRAVO! 👏👏 🤺

Anyways rip Kurapika
Kurapika's way too slow to do ANYTHING but DIE.
