Wonderful first lesson! I am an experienced stitcher but I wanted to see how you stitched in hand. I have noticed that a number of people now stitch in hand. I have always used Rola-frames or Q snaps. I didn't even know until last year that people stitched in hand while doing cross-stitch. I wish I had these lessons when I first started cross-stitching many years ago! Flosstube is wonderful because we get to see how everyone stitches! As always, thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos.
Thanks Elayne! Great first lesson. Even though I have been stitching off and on for over 40 years, I am enjoying the refresher, and I am sure I will learn something new. ❤️
When you showed all the supplies that we can use that was so helpful. I loved that you explained what you were doing and that you went slow. Also that you showed what can happen when trying to thread the needle and when a knot is on the floss. This video is a great beginning lesson and I am so glad I signed up.
Hi there! Thank you for the beginners cross stitching video. I have never tried it before so I had no idea how to find center on the pattern or the fabric. Showing us how to anchor the thread to start and end is very helpful. I enjoyed your video very much, thank you for making it. How long have you been cross stitching? You gave excellent instructions that are easy to follow. TFS Happy Creating! Samantha
I loved your video!!! I learned so much even though I am a seasoned stitcher!! You are such a kind , patient, knowledgeable teacher!! Thanks so much!! See you next week, my friend...
Just viewed the first lesson! Loved seeing the loop method done up close! Thank you for the detailed instructions. I started cross stitching many years ago and took a long break from it. Really enjoying the refresher!
Thanks for a great first class Elayne! I learned a couple of new things...how to use a needle threader and pulling the thread from the bottom of a DMC skein where the number is will keep it from knotting up. Awesome! I'm looking forward to the next class!
This is just a wonderful thing for all of the New Stitchers!!!! Excited for you n them!! I have a question?? After all of this, is it possible to show how you ct. Using 28+ fabric????The counting screws me up🤪🤪🤪🤪
Really enjoyed your 1st class. Question- I prefer to stitch over the length of my line of the stitch for he color I’m working on. Is that a disadvantage for me?
This was excellent, Elayne! Thank you!
Thanks Elaine I enjoyed the refresher!
Good lesson. And, yes, all of those things happen in real life. Lol.❤️

Hi, this was fantastic......such good explanations .....thank you...
Thank you for this. I do cross stitch on Aida and I want to try evenweave or linen. So this will help a lot. Thank you.
Thanks Elaine you are always so helpful. I am looking for a magnifying floor lamp and was wondering what you use?
I use an Ott lamp which you can get with a magnifier 🙂

Really enjoyed your 1st class. Question- I prefer to stitch over the length of my line of the stitch for he color I’m working on. Is that a disadvantage for me?
HI! No! You should stitch exactly the way you like!
How can you get those DMC number stick,? I have had them come off. I have tried to use clear tape and the tape dry out to any suggestions?
Do you always cross each stitch before going on
Never mind you answered my question lol
Thank you Elayne. I love the class and picked up a few more tips. Looking forward to the next one. 🪡🧵
