So glad you're better! You really paid for that vacation to Disneyworld. 😳 I do all my own finishing from framing to pillows, ornaments and flat finishes. Having the right tools and a nice stash of materials, along with watching FlossTubers tutorials has been priceless! 😊
So happy you are near all well now. Always, and l mean it, just love you and yor your beautiful pretties. Look forward to watching you every Friday and sure miss you😢, when no flosstube 😂❤😊
I am glad you are feeling better. You have been fighting this battle far too long. I love my monthly mini box. I just received my first one. You guys did a great job! Currently, my favorite way to finish is making pillows.
So happy to see you are doing much better. Once I get inspiration for a finish it becomes my favorite. It has to be the wooden frames that I can add things too. I got my happy mail and thank you for doing this. It was so nice to see that pink package. I will enjoy stitching it.
Love all your new designs. My favorite way of finishing is making cross stitch into a small quilt, wall hanging, tote or project bag. So many beautiful fabrics out there today to blend with the finished cross stitch. Your painting sounds exciting too! Hoping you feel better soon and prayers for you and your employees husband! Shirley
Love so many of your new charts and other designers charts. I have been doing lots of pillow finishes. I really need to take the time to learn how to do a flat fold. Happy to hear you are feeling better everyday. You have had a long run of illness.
I have a tall stack of “to be” finished… my weak area. I am inspired when I find a fun frame to mount a piece and put it in. I am looking forward the watching more of your “make finishing fun” and wood pieces!!! So glad you are feeling better!
I discovered your shop by accident and I’m so glad I did. My favorite way to finish is to frame my work but I love the you finish with bows and flowers. I hope the next time I visit your shop you will be there.
Glad to hear that you're getting better. Don't overdo! My favorite finishes are pillows, flat folds and various finishes for ornaments to use as gifts.
Glad to see you're feeling better! I like doing all different finishes depending on the size of the piece and where I want to display it. There are so many nice ways to finish cross stitch, I don't think I could pick just one.
Finishing pillows is probably the easiest way to finish, but that doesn’t work for bigger things. I want to learn to do flat folds. Hope you feel better, Elayne! Go Bills!
I have a pile of pieces that need to be finished. I don’t like the mess of painting, hate a glue gun, and don’t enjoy scouring stores for wood pieces. Therefore, those I do finish are pillows, wall hangings and items using fabric. Therefore, my favorite way to finish is usually pillows but a gal can only have so many pillows!
I don't have a favorite way to finish. I usually frame because I don't know how to finish. I look forward to your tutorials! Glad you are feeling better!
I don’t have a favorite way to finish my cross stitch. I hate finishing. It’s always uneven no matter how much I measure so I will be tuning in. Hope you’re feeling better Elayne. Pneumonia is nothing to mess with
I’m so glad you are feeling better . I like doing boards because it’s a fast and easy way of finishing . I’m working on sewing a border around the cross stitch piece and then making into a pillow . Now that I got a job I’m saving up for a small sewing machine and hoping to make pillows faster #happymail
Glad you are on the road to recovery. My favorite finishes are the small magnets I made years ago. They still hang on my fridge so I see them everyday!
I like to finish using things I find at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. I also make pillows and flat ornaments. I do get things framed, but usually it’s a big piece or a gift.
Hi Elayne. So glad to hear you are feeling better. I finish by putting the piece on sticky board, adding layers of fabric behind it and placing them on wood or metal. Or sometimes turning it into a pillow. Always looking for new ideas. Can't wait to see what you have coming up. 😊
Sorry you have been ill. I hope you get to feeling better. My favorite way to finish things right now is pillows. I am going to expand my horizons in the future because some projects are too big for a pillow. Get better soon.
I like to do flat finishes to hang on displays I have on my doors, and also to frame them. I currently don't have as much space for display, so I'm going to try making some finishes into little pillows for a tiered tray, or doughbowl! Wishes for continued healing Elayne! ❤❤
You are looking like you are feeling much better. I pray you will continue to heal. A complete recovery. I love your fall designs. I’m not into haloween but love fall most of all.
Hello, so glad you’re feeling better. I’m new to cross stitch and find finishing pillows is easiest for me. Would love to learn more finishing techniques! 😊
It's So Good to see you back! Glad your feeling better. The September Barn is Beautiful and I Love the Floss Colors! Hoping you can show us some easy finish framing.
Glad you are better! Missed you. I finish so many different ways. Lately my fav has been making pillows but that could change anytime. Anxious to see your new products.
Good morning!! So happy to see your smile this morning!! I am so happy you are feeling better!! I have been stitching mainly smalls this year. I am finishing them all into pillows. I have had girlfriends come over and all they wanted to do was look at my collection of small pillows. They always have a smile on their face as they pick them up to look at the handwork. Have a wonderful weekend!! Thank you for sharing and giving me inspiration!! ❤
You have been a sick little girl for a long time! Missed you on Floss Tube. Hope you are fully recovered soon. --- Finishing depends on the cross stitch piece. Small seasonal ones are a great choice as small display pillows. I really like doing a flat finish on sticky board and coordinating fabric mounted onto wood. Unless my cross stitch is the right size for a standard frame, framing can get pricey. Am definitely interested in your new ideas for making finishing fun!
I frame my large finishes and prefer to make small pillows from my small ones although a flat fold finish can be nice too. So good to see you back, sorry you have been so ill.
Wow - you have had a workout these past months. So glad to have you back as I always look forward to watching. I actually don't have a favorite technique as I love the challenge of trying new things. Currently working on projects for spool finishes and drum finishes. Spools I've done before, but never finished something as a drum.
I hope you feel better! I like to do flat folds that I can stand up on ledges, mantels and table tops. Pillows and ornaments are cute too. Door knob hangers or bell pulls are fun too.
Glad you are feeling better. I’m not much of a finisher. Usually just basic framing I do myself. I’m anxious to hear what you have up your sleeve so I can venture out with some new finishing techniques.
I like the finish that makes a little pillow for a dough bowl but the only finish I have actually done is framing. Back in the day, when I first cross-stitched, that is how almost everything was done. I am so happy to see different finishes now 'cause you can only frame so many things!
I am so sorry to hear you are still sick. My hubby thought he was finally getting better as he has been sick since early August but he started coughing again yesterday. I really like to do a of different things with my stitching but I would say with small it is dough bowl pillows and with others it is usually putting it on sticky board on top of another sticky board with fabric on it and then using magnets to attach it something that I usually have picked up cheap some place. Have a great week.
I'm, sadly, one of those stitchers who fails to FFO my projects, so right now my favorite way to finish is by sticking it in my "I'll Finish it Someday" box. I do manage to get my kids' Christmas ornaments made into pillows, though, so maybe I could say that is my favorite way to finish. But there's so many other types of finishes I admire and would like to try doing one of these days. I'm looking forward to seeing what your new boards are all about! I hope your pneumonia is on the mend. Pneumonia is no joke, and can take quite a while to heal. Don't push yourself too hard (easier said than done, I know😊).
I don't really have a favorite finishing...I have a tub FULL of finished cross stitch projects and I am starting to frame them...but I would love to learn some new ways to finish them!! Thanks for sharing - so glad you are feeling better!!!
What a fun video visit! I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better!!! That's way too long to be sick! I've really stepped up my finishing game this year which was my New Year's resolution. I've learned to lace up pieces which I was pretty scared of but it's not that bad and gives a beautiful, secure finish. So that's probably my favorite way right now. But, I've also learned to do flat finishes and using the magnets to put the pieces on a metal cookie jar and a metal laundry supply basket. My Tiny Towns are all long , skinny mini pillows and those are fun too. Plus I put mini pillows in wooden bowls and a couple tiered trays. Then mini pillows that I hang from knobs are so much fun as well!
Glad to see you are doing better - you were sick way too long. I do not finish - I have a lady who does all my finishing for pillows and ornaments. I still get some things professionally framed too.
I don’t have a favorite finishing, only have done flat finish. Looking forward to seeing your finishing techniques. Have a good week and hope you get feeling better soon.
Was surprised to see you today! Please don't overdue. Usually I frame my cross stitch. Want to do some pillows, just never tried. Looking forward to your tutorials on finishing.
Hi Elayne, Aww so glad u r doing better that darn Covid did a number on u and me I spent 9 days in the hospital with double pneumonia with oxygen and then sent home on oxygen for 2 and half weeks and I am still coughing some and draining, isn’t it crazy. I finish a lot of my pieces like Priscilla does sometimesI do mine on other things I pick up using wood backings or enamel pieces from hobby lobby and usually with bows and picks added to them. ❤️❤️
I am not a great finisher. I love to display my stitches but there are more in a box then out. I stress out about so much, worries it won't look right or I should of finished it a different way. I guess my favorite way right now is pillow with several different fabrics. I would love to get proficient at finishing like a flat fold or drum. I am really sorry you have a time with being sick. I hope you get better real soon and feel more like yourself. Happy stitching
I love the September box❤ the patterns and floss colors are just lovely. I’m so glad you’re doing well 😊 I like to finish a project as a small pillow or on a Bella board for decorations…
Glad you're on the mend!! I usually do simple frames or hoops, and some fabric backed hanging pieces. With frames, I take out the glass, then use batting or fiberfill to make the stitch 'poof' out a little. I inherited my mom's sewing machine and really want to get it out and relearn how to sew some small pillows. I need a bobbin tutorial, lol. Goal for Christmas!
Finishing if definitely my biggest hurdle. I did lace a piece recently that I think I did a good job, I just need to mount it or frame it. I think I could do pillows well. Hope you continue to get better.
Gee that is a long time to be sick, hope you are on the perfect path now to total wellness. I would rather spend the time stitching than finishing, hence my ever growing box of finished projects and not much finishing here. Can’t wait to see the new prpducta to make things easier. I have no perfered method to finish as not much here is fully finished unless it went to the framer way back when. It was in,y a coulple of things at the time, than stopped stitching, until restarted last year.
Not a great finisher, yet! Learning new tricks by watching the many flosstube videos. I have finished a recent piece by mounting it on a flat board and displaying it on a metal table stand. Looking forward to seeing your finishing products.
Depending on the piece, I finish in different ways. If it's large, I most likely will frame it. Smaller pieces, I tend to do pillows or flat folds. It's hard to find the perfect mounting piece.
Ohh Boy!!! I had what you have a few months ago!! Very Nasty!! I have not finished anything myself, I do have one small piece I just finished stitching and want to finish myself. So… all of my pieces have been framed by Michaels when they offer 70% off framing.
Finishing?? What's that?? Just kidding. My favorite way would be to send my stitching out and have someone else finish it but since I can't afford that I usually find something at a craft store or online to finish my project on. I love the idea of your finishing kits and also the cut outs and paints. I quilt so I have plenty of fabric to use. The main thing I have problems with is cutting out the sticky board or the backing board I use that goes behind the sticky board. My cutting leaves a lot to be desired. I've talked my son into doing my cutting for me so hopefully my projects will be a lot straighter from now on.
I've come to the conclusion that I am a process stitcher. It's the thrill of doing the stitching that keeps me motivated. Sadly. once the project is done, I lose interest in finishing it. Perhaps others have some suggestions on how they overcame that mindset.
Hands down, absolutely the very best online shop for me for stitching needs. Thank you Elaine & Terry
So glad you're better! You really paid for that vacation to Disneyworld. 😳 I do all my own finishing from framing to pillows, ornaments and flat finishes. Having the right tools and a nice stash of materials, along with watching FlossTubers tutorials has been priceless! 😊

I have been playing around with making little pillows out of my cross stitches. So this has become my new favorite way to finish small stitches.
I am glad you are feeling better. You have been fighting this battle far too long. I love my monthly mini box. I just received my first one. You guys did a great job! Currently, my favorite way to finish is making pillows.

Good morning so happy you are feeling better. I love finishing into pillows. Right now I am trying to finish some small ornaments. Thank you Elayne
So happy you are feeling better! Finishing is always a challenge to me so I am very excited to hear what you have in store for us!!💜🩷

So many beautiful projects Elayne. I love your project line! My favorite finish is the pillow finish!
Finishing pillows is probably the easiest way to finish, but that doesn’t work for bigger things. I want to learn to do flat folds.
Hope you feel better, Elayne! Go Bills!
I love framing my larger works, but I still absolutely adore making the little pillows filling them with crushed Walnut shells.
I'm so happy you are feeling better!

I enjoy making pillows or flat finished on blocks or frames and in tobacco baskets. So glad to hear you are doing better.

I like several ways of finishing, large pieces I have framed, smaller ones I usually find a piece that I like attaching them to.
Love watching your channel and all your lovely patterns. I like finishing my projects on wooden boards and also flat folds
You are looking like you are feeling much better. I pray you will continue to heal. A complete recovery. I love your fall designs. I’m not into haloween but love fall most of all.
So glad you are feeling better. My favorite way to finish is giving it to my sister to do😊
Feel better soon!!! i struggle with finishing so I love your idea of flosstube tutorials for finishing. I will be watching!
So glad you are feeling better . My favorite way to finish cross stitch is framing
I like to finish my smalls as little pillows. I am so sorry you've been sick! I hope you feel better soon.
Glad you are feeling better. Prayers.
My favorite way to finish is with sticky board and fabric. Sorry you’ve not been well, best wishes, ahead.
Glad you are feeling better!! I am looking forward to the finishing tutorials, finishing is hard. My favorite way to finish is making a pillow!!
Hello, so glad you’re feeling better.
I’m new to cross stitch and find finishing pillows is easiest for me.
Would love to learn more finishing techniques! 😊

I finish smalls as pillows and take samplers to a framer.Take care!

Welcome back. Glad you are feeling better. I've only made pillows as my finishes. I want to learn to do flat folds and drums.
So far I’ve only finished pillows on my own. Would love to do some board finishes, and finishes on box tops. Feel better Elayne!
Pillows are the easiest & fast!
I love the September box❤ the patterns and floss colors are just lovely. I’m so glad you’re doing well 😊 I like to finish a project as a small pillow or on a Bella board for decorations…

Finishing if definitely my biggest hurdle. I did lace a piece recently that I think I did a good job, I just need to mount it or frame it. I think I could do pillows well. Hope you continue to get better.
I have only finished a pillow. I so need guidance with finishing. Can’t wait to see what you have to bring us with finishing ❤
Love mounting on fun boards, but this year have been making the qcute pillows that are so popular. Thanks for the updates today. ❤
Right now I’m into making little pillows to put into bowls or hanging them.
I tend to finish into pillows or wall hangings if finishing myself.
I do a few flat finishes, but my go to is pillows for smalls and frames for larger pieces.
I haven’t finished one yet! But I bought material, sticky board and some clearance decorative wood pieces that I plan to use.
I finish my pieces to go in a very long couch table dough bowl...(like 50pillows)...I hope you feel better soon...please take care
Gee that is a long time to be sick, hope you are on the perfect path now to total wellness. I like to frame my projects but excited to try new finishes
Good to see you are doing better. I hope to do some pillow finishes soon
Not a great finisher, yet! Learning new tricks by watching the many flosstube videos. I have finished a recent piece by mounting it on a flat board and displaying it on a metal table stand. Looking forward to seeing your finishing products.
I am one of those people who is not good at finishing. I see all these beautiful finishes and I think I can do that but it never looks like it should.
Depending on the piece, I finish in different ways. If it's large, I most likely will frame it. Smaller pieces, I tend to do pillows or flat folds. It's hard to find the perfect mounting piece.
I would like to learn how to finish my cross stitch into a biscornu!
My favorite way is to take it to a framer…but I have quite the stack of unfinished stitching. Not sure where I will put flat folds or small pillows…
I like to finish my cross-stitch into a hoop. It's easy but a bit dull.
I have not done a full finish. Afraid I will goof up my stitching.
Do not have a favorite way to finish my projects
I've come to the conclusion that I am a process stitcher. It's the thrill of doing the stitching that keeps me motivated. Sadly. once the project is done, I lose interest in finishing it. Perhaps others have some suggestions on how they overcame that mindset.
Sad to say I have more unfinished than finished
I don’t finish anything. It’s in a bag.
Very happy you are feeling better!!!
