    Another excellent adventure! I would have liked to see more detail on the problem of the cannon pinion that led to the issue near the end. How did you decide that this was the source of the problem and how exactly did you fix it?
    Merci beaucoup!

    • @FrenchWatchCollector
      @FrenchWatchCollector  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The canon pignon is the parts that dictates a lot of things between the hands. With the right friction amount it makes sure that the hour and minute hand stay in tune. I just made it a bit tighter to increase the friction

    Thank you for sharing this. I have a 2002 Y series. My appreciation for the model increased by a 100% from this video. Would be great to see a comparison between different GMT movements. Like a Rolex GMT, CW GMT and a Tudor or Seiko GMT. Again, many thanks! 👌

    If you put a little bit of winding pressure from the crown while removing the automatic system it wont fly off like that. Very nice video and this is a beautiful watch.

    great video. lets pick the balance bridge for instance. isn't it better for the screws on a bridge piece to screw one screw 50% in then do other screw 50% in, then keep going alternatively until both are 100% tight? rather than screw one in 100% then go to other screw? see what i mean? i read years ago factories like to do my method to save torquing on pieces etc. i have this watch, model v series 2010 model i love it, beautiful

    Superbe vidéo et très bon travail ! J'avais une question concernant le mouvement 3185 : Le fait de faire tourner l'aiguille des heures en anti horaire pour faire revenir la date en arrière risque t il d'abimer le mouvement ?
    Englsih for the international Community :
    Does jumping the date backward damage the caliber 3185 ? Amazing job on this video by the way !

    • @FrenchWatchCollector

      Non cela n’est pas un problème car vous avez aussi à changer l’heure ou la date en arrière si vous voyer avec une gmt

    I have a question: my 16570 explorer is running great, date functions, gmt hand functions, etc..however, when winding the watch with no power left, the winding the crown is tough. Takes a lot of effort and not buttery smooth like my similar GMT master with same movement.
    Not crunchy. But like your pushing a car up a hill, resistance.
    Do you think it needs full service? Suggestions?

    • @FrenchWatchCollector

      Depend when is your last service. You might have a dried up seal or a dried up automatique winding system

    Watched to the end and still didn't understand what the issue was 😂 what was the "lanterning" you did to solve it?

    • @FrenchWatchCollector
      @FrenchWatchCollector  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You see first at the beginning the change is not fully jumping and later on around 33min when I use the GMT fonction to just change the hour hand one by one hour at it should be on a GMT the minute hand and the GMT should stand still but the move. This is why I adjust this with the lanterning of the canon pignon.

    • @Ferbocarbo
      @Ferbocarbo 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FrenchWatchCollector Yes I saw the issue but didn't really understand the solution. I'll research "lanterning" to see if I understand what you did. Thanks for the great video!

    BUT, as a professional, why wind crown with ONE FINGER?!! You can actually watch how that bends the stem. Grrrrr.
