This video create more questions than answers.
It will be great to provide explanations for some steps.

Hello, why didn't the key from the old FEM switch to the new FEM? And you wrote down another key! And as I noticed, another ISN showed a new FEM. Will this start the engine? I need all the information to be transferred to the new FEM , along with the keys! How is it done? I do this with VVDI2.

If i do this procedure for a manual UK model, do I still need to remove the steering column to virginise the elv eeprom? If so, why can we not just copy the eeprom of the original over to the new/used exchanged unit after the procedure shown in the video is done? Will copying the eeprom data not fix the virginising of elv?

Now there is a new section "ECU preprocessing (OBD)", do I need to unsolder the eeprom when using it?

Wait a minute, this is all for programming only a brand new FEM?? Jesus almighty what a waste of time. Programming an FEM can already be done with an Autel not that you’d want to but even then if you’re already purchasing a new one might as well pay $30 for the BMW subscription and have the dealer software program it for you. What the hell.

Im508. BMW X5 f15 2016 BDC bricked while preprocessing. Don't recommend this tool for BMW BDC all keys lost.

And you leave unsecured modified flash inside FEM ? Great.

That's a cheaper aftermarket hack if anyone doesn't like it they can go to bmw and pay thousands instead of hundreds. But I've done a lot of different cars and let me tell you that the people that always complains about prices are the owners of BMW and Mercedes. They can afford the cars but cry over a couple hundred for a key, then go to a dealer and pay 1k for a key and stop moaning.

@@jorgemat8080 Cool. If your client know what unsecured software is now in his car - thats Ok. But if you not telling it to him - thats another away :)
Update FEM swfl to car actual I-level is 15 minutes work with Esys, by the way. But you must know more than two buttons "read / write" key :)

@@jorgemat8080 100% correct.... I have a question hope you can help, I did this whole procedure using VVDI AND autel. using autel process works successfully however when starting the car I get a ecu connection error, so no ignition, no crank, no start.. I'm assuming its the elv due to it being a UK manual. i then virginised the ELV but then I get a hardware issue :/, no ignition or start due to ecu communication error (I THINK due to ELV??)...
SO, i then did this process again for the 100th time with VVDI (keytoolplus) I then get ignition and crank off the car (started before but elv was locked so didn't turn, assuming its an FEM from an auto car) so this shows me VVDI didn't correctly exchange because half the cars buttons like lights radio volume etc don't work but I get ignition..... autel seemed to have done the exchange correctly but the car doesn't ignition, crank or start.
am I right in thinking its all down to a now damaged ELV? and replacing with e a new virginised ELV with fix this or do I have more problems?
