We took a trip down to Hartshorne, Oklahoma for H-Town Throwdown! This event is the type of racing we LOVE! It's a no prep race on the STREET and the town is more than cool with it, they love it! More and more serious cars show up every year and it's quickly becoming one of our favorites. Among the many unique cars that showed up, we stumbled upon Zombie. This is far from your typical Mazdaspeed3. 110mm turbo, LS, RWD, etc. The car suffered a bad wreck some years back and it's now back from the dead! A Zombie!

Them mazdaspeed cars are way under rated (imo) and the parts avalibility for them are even rarer! I like his style and dedication to what HE wants, although I'm surprised he cut up a perfectly good mazdaspeed

Yeah especially because near the end of a close race is when things can get squirrely especially when you take your foot off the gas and can lose the rear end

I used to wonder what people seen in these turbo Mazda 3's but it's God, God is in the chassis of that car.
That track looks dangerous AF!!!, those massive barrier blocks around the light poles looks deadly.
They all have the option to not race.
As stated in video. Literally the city shuts down the road. They are not liable for anything. Plus they probably got paid well to let the racers shut down the road. Atleast they got some form is protection versus none.
The barriers etc where more than likely set up by the racers or the race master to atleast bring some SaFtEy.

Randy is an awesome dude and the car is amazing. He’s local to me and very nice guy.
Man if someone hits one of those concrete walls at the bottom of the poles, they’re toast.
I could be wrong but I believe one the up and coming heavy hitters lost his life because of a drainage ditch or power line pole a few years back.

Mazda is great brand to have on and off the track. If only they stuck with a rotary motor. But it wouldn't be much of a competition then. Love the custom rebuild.
Mazda 3S never had a rotary motor.

I slept on them until I got a 3s for free. Ended up doing a 2.5 swap after hydro locking the stock motor. Always liked the driving experience before, and now realizing all the things I can do to them and kinda excited for the build. They're fairly sporty feeling for an economy car from the factory.
