Love Your Awesome Caving Adventures but worry you guys will get caught in one of those tight areas with water filling up your breathing area. It could be raining 10 miles away and those tight areas could start filling up with water very quickly. 🙂❤👍Watching from Canada🙂
If the water plants are releasing water that is not dechlorinated, thats a federal violation. And chlorinated water actually doesn’t have a smell. Pools that “smell” like chlorine is actually just a chemical reaction between the low level of chlorine and things like urine. There could be very slight amounts of chlorine. If i recall correctly from my college classes on water treatment, the regulations for how many ppm of chlorine is either extremely low or non existent. Fluoride could be another option. Most densely populated areas will have city water that has fluoride in it. This is to help children and their developing teeth. It is not harmful to ingest. I suspect that whats happening here is a water plant is maybe backwashing their filters to clean them, are storing water in an underground reservoir that could be leaking or they are draining it as a routine thing. Its possible a waste water plant is not fully de-chlorinating their water or they cannot keep up. If they cannot keep up, they are allowed to allow for higher levels of chlorine in the water. The lack of proper airflow is probably the biggest factor here. Having an o2 meter is best. The green sludge they saw is most definitely a type of algae. Or moss i suppose. Algae doesn’t need much light and it can withstand and grow despite the presence of some chlorine or fluoride. The neony color is likely due to lack of uv light, or sun. Hope this helps some others.

You could be under or near a factory that's dripping chemicals. I worked in mining 17 years that ground is dangerous We'd excavate then drill 6' roof bolts to fasten those slips together, never go into unbolted ground ! One slab could squash you both. That's where you were the whole time unbolted ground. . Water is powerful, it's eating the rock over time.
If you brought a large clear bowl, you could use it as a very temporary air bubble for slipping through areas where ceiling clearance to water is only a couple inches. - You'd still be able to bail out and snatch some air like normal if you had to, but id guess you could get at least a few dozen feet with the " dive bell bowl" keeping a pocket of air around your head. - Please don't die trying my idea.
One thing y'all can also do, is look up environmental labs in the area and see if they can test it ( usually they cahrge for it) to see what is in it and what levels
Or if they really wanna know for themselves and save a few bucks, go the much easier and logical route first by purchasing their own test kit or even some even cheaper water test strips.
You guys are incredibly brave and no stranger to danger. I'm not sure what would cause a smell of chlorine but I have been in a cave that appeared to have raw sewage leaking through it in Nashville.
in the first chlorine room i almost felt like you were looking up at a concrete foundation and some of the debris underneath had some dark discolorations? don't some heavy metals do that? any chemists around lol? glad you guys are safe, great video.
It actually really did look like that. I thought it was the underside of some concrete foundation, or something similar to that. I hope they find tools to test and find the source of the chemical pollution

Man, I really want to go caving/cave diving/diving someday. Something about being in a small cramped chamber with the noises echoing around me and nothing but the people around you and rock feels so cozy and fulfilling. I don't even think I'd be unhappy if I died in a caving/diving incident. It'd be horrifying and maybe even terrifying for sure, but at least I'd die doing what I love. When I watch these kinds of videos it feels like it calls to me like no other dangerous stupid activity does. I'm deathly afraid of heights, but something about being deep in the Earth feels comforting and safe, even if it were the last time I'd ever venture into mother earths cavities. Returning to the Earth and becoming part of it type shit. We're destined to become one with the Earth, and I just want to love my planet and explore it one day. It's such an amazing rock. I love it. I wanna feel the discomfort from putting a wet suit on, squeeze through tight passages, get laughed at and laugh at my friends. Become experienced in the field and help newcomers find themselves in caving/diving. Do dangerous things, explore uncharted areas. I wanna feel something...
I have to say that was an awesome video. Cool place, your determination to explore it was strong, you did a great job of recording it. The section where only your nose is above the water, especially during the initial run INTO the cave, imparts the same kind of thrill to the viewer as a good suspense movie. Periodically during the video, I reassured myself by thinking "I know they definitely wouldn't be doing this if there's any chance of rain in the forecast." Because if anything causes an unexpected delay once INSIDE the cave, you'll be dealing with "upcoming weather", instead of just what is happening right now. ...Then near the end, I noticed you said you're already aware IT'S CURRENTLY RAINING, lol. As with many places I suppose, we have "popular" caves in my area that are nevertheless long notorious for becoming quite deadly when there's rain. You guys traversing that "nose" section *during* a rain shower is kinda nuts, lol.
@ActionAdventureTwins whatever it was, you really need to be more diligent about using your gas techs. I like seeing your videos and seeing you use your PPE, but I have this underlying feeling there will be a day you'll no longer be posting due to something avoidable like inhaling too much toxic gases because you left the gas techs in the car. I'm glad you got out when you did, not only due to the gas exposure but also the rooms filling with water. Stay safe out there!
Every time I watch your vids like this one I think of the same thing. My biggest concern is someone not finding yall if something bad happens...injury, rising water blocking exits, no lights...ect...ect. I know NOTHING about the cave/exploring field but I would have markers to leave along the way. Something the size of a deck of cards all with an arrow pointing on them that you place on the ground every time you pass a 'sketchy' area (you climb up, down, drop in a hole, went under water) so it gives someone and idea of your location....kinda like a trail of popcorn so to speak. Now if y'all had no clue about that chorine smell you could have both been in a world of hurt INSTANTLY upon getting out of the water where everything turned white. Anyway, just a thought. How would anyone know y'all went that far back basically under the water? Great vid.
Okay, well, I can now confidently take cave exploring off of my bucket list. Absolutely thanks but no thanks. I think I will follow your journeys on video while clutching my chest in anxiety.

What an incredible piece of filming! I found it difficult to believe anyone would fit through some of the spaces, but then in you went! It seems like people have been there before. I wish there had been some investigation of things that were passed, like the yellow thing on the left at 9:00 and the bright green thing on the rock ledge at the right side of the screen at 15:23. Did you double back to exit, or did that come out somewhere else in the woods?
Chlorine doesn't have a smell, nor does CO2. What does smell are reactions to chlorine (what you associate as the smell of chlorine is actually the byproduct of chlorine, urine, sweat, and other things, but mostly urine). Mark Rober did a great video on it.

Yes to the O2 meter. For sure. Edit: And one of those 10-minutes of air scuba things, in case you get caught in the rain. 💚🌻🙏
Back-up air supply, in-case things do ever get really bad. Good idea for around areas of caves that may be prone to flooding.
19:58 look at all the spider things bro
Yooo wtf 😳
20:17 is better, they jump too
They found the spider spawn
They are cave crickets. Basically the chillest bugs you can imagine.
@@tapewormsandstoplights2868 d9nt get but by them. Can cause infection
Or a couple snorkels for that matter.
@@CarpeUniversum imagine a big spider getting in the snorkel.
@@voodooman4636 I'd rather not!
@@voodooman4636 finally thought about it. Decided a rubberband and fine mesh solves the spider ilfiltration concern.
This Video Made me soooo Tense. Awesome Job Guys... Truly Amazing!
Thank you for taking us exploring with you! 🤯 So cool! 🤣 I kept ducking because, some of those rocks, 😱 they look sharp as knives!
Some serious commitment there. Thanks for your efforts
that waterfall room was gorgeous
Did I think you would die? Yes.
Did I keep watching? Yes.
As the one dude would say….GNARLY!!!
What a cool find. But definitely dangerous with the chemical smell and potential flooding.
I was surprised you didn't mention the spiders around 20:03.
Love your enthusiasm!!
Cave crickets, not spiders. You definitely would have heard about spiders.
Keep ducking my head when you’re squeezing through. 😂 Like that’ll help or something. Doh!
As if this wasn't horrifying enough, can you imagine losing your light and being plunged into complete darkness?
They plunged their lights down into the water when it got too tight and they didn't know if they were waterproof or not, so wtf?
You guys are so awesome! Me and my daughter love to watch your adventures! Love from Sweden ❤
You both are incredible! Great video.
At 22:06 where that worm tunnel terminated, there were some interesting spherical formations in the ceiling. I’m interested to know what those were.
Me, too! I wish they'd examined them a bit!
They could be fossils. At 20:30 he mentions shell fossils and i know sometimes fossils end up creating spheres like that
@@loagboag7694 that almost looks more like some kind of live snail or slug since it's not fully attached to the ceiling, it's in a very precarious place and would likely have broken or eroded off if it was rigidly attached, and it's very different from the surrounding rock
@@GlutenEruptionnah I think it’s definitely some kind of fossil or concretion
You guys are awesome and so brave. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Very cool 😎
Love watching these videos..I'm glad this one only had a couple of claustrophobic moments so I had to fast forward couple times 😂😂
Great work lads. Goin" were most would turn back. The water looks electric! Be sure to get quality recordings of life in there. Fish, crawdads bugs...
There HAS to be a job that uses these fellas skills available. EPA, somebody. Start paying these guys and sending them to pull geological info. Scary Brave.
The cities "dirty little secret".. watch your back, seriously.. Possible ramifications for exposing their secret toxic waste disposal....appreciate you guys.!
Every time I think that's a dead end, you guys send nd it farther. This was extreme, thoroughly enjoyed, but stay safu fam
I love this channel! What a vibe.
*casually inhaling hydrogen sulfide*
"Bro is the wastewater plant dumping into here?"
more like pesticides, fertilizer or chlorine
@ActionAdventureTwins whatever it was, you really need to be more diligent about using your gas techs. I like seeing your videos and seeing you use your PPE, but I have this underlying feeling there will be a day you'll no longer be posting due to something avoidable like inhaling too much toxic gases because you left the gas techs in the car. I'm glad you got out when you did, not only due to the gas exposure but also the rooms filling with water. Stay safe out there!
we were sick for a week after this. but no meters on the market would have detected this chlorine sadly
would definitely report this to the city and any regional nature protection services.
I think I would have waited until early fall when the water level should drop. But what y'all did is bad ass and I'm a caver.
Thanks for the newest episode of Claustrophobia Simulator 2024.
When he says “I don’t think it’s big enough for a person, let me try this way” I can’t even watch!!!
Andy!!!! You Goonie!!!
🙌🏻
Oh *_HELL_* no! Flash flood, collapse, disorientation, anything could happen and nobody would be able to find you...
Hey, I've got an idea. Let's go explore this cave filled with water. This was the absolute dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life.
I don't want to call it dumb, but way dangerous to be the Lewis and Clark of sewers. 😳
But they just gotta have it, its their heroin! And one of these days they gonna pop thru some tight boobytrapped squeeze, to find an ancient pirate boat loaded w/ 1-eye-willy's gold and gems
You guys are total Savages!!!
That is so disturbing! Good to know, will have to research this
I beg to differ - chlorine most certainly has a smell, strong and extremely irritating. But for CO2 you are correct.
@@DouglasAllanScott The pure chemical does, but not dissolved into water. When we smell "chlorine" in water we're actually smelling trichloramine. th-cam.com/video/S32y9aYEzzo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=p63swB6S8YmS05Hz&t=262
You guys are straight bananas! Love it!
My anxiety level through this whole video was through the roof!! you guys have balls of steel, That's for sure!. I hope you also contacted the DEP and city to let them know of the chemicals. It's so incredibly bad for the environment And God forbid if you guys should of passed out Down there in the water, it would have been horrific.
You guys probably were treading in sewage treatment byproduct water.
Whatever it was feeds directly into the river where fisherman was catching dinner..
No caving for me. To scary. But going with you only makes me afraid for you. I find what you fine is truly amazing. Please take care. Scary stuff. 😢 hope you will be ok after inhaling that stuff. 😮 I like following you on your adventures. 😊 hi from Arizona
