The beauty of Napa Valley is that because they are not subject to strict winemaking laws, wineries can make whatever the heck they want. A winemaker can make a Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Merlot or Petite Sirah and do whatever they want to wine. Peter, I think you might like Matthiasson wines as they age their wines in old oak barrels.

Zinfandel from the Dry Creek region (Sonoma County area) is (IMHO) the best Zin in the states. I absolutely love the jammy flavor that you get from wines of this region. I fell in love with them while visiting in 2013 (drinking 2011 and 2012 vintages), but have noticed a couple of things... Has anyone else noticed that most of their Zins from this time period aren't aging well? What I mean is... they seem to have less jam and are more acidic over time. Is this typical of a Zin? Do they typically age well?
항상 잘 보고 있습니다. 이번에 시음해 주신 와인 두개 모두 예전부터 평가해 주셨으면 했던 와인 인데다가.. 둘다 맛있게 먹었던 와인들이라 좋게 평가해 주시니 기분이 좋네요^^ 프리즈너를 만든 "Dave Phinney"가 이 영상을 보면 기분 좋아할 것 같네요...ㅋㅋ 루이스 마티니는 점점 가격이 오르는 중이라 사먹기가 부담이 되네요. 2019년11월엔 2만원 극후반~3만원 초반 2020년 9월엔 4.5만원 2021년 1월 현재 코스트코에 5.89만원에 판매중이더군요...ㅜㅜ

예전 영상에 루이스 마티니도 오크향 나는 미국와인 특징이 분명히 있다고 말하긴 했어요. 하지만 잘 만든 괜찮은 와인이라면서 미국 진한 와인 맛을 좋아하는 분들은 이걸 마시라(다른 이상한 거 말고)고 얘기하시더라구요. 아마 인위적으로 뭔가를 마구 첨가해서 만든 억지 와인이 아니라 자연스럽게 제작과정에서 오크향이나 잔당감이 남는 와인인가보다...라고 저는 이해했답니다.
루이스 엠 마티니 진짜 맛있습니다!!!! 한국에선 롯데마트에서 구할수있는데 저 사마실때는 5만원대였어요 지금은 가격이 올라서 7만원대더군요 국내에서 나파와인은 10만원대인데 10만원이하 가격에 나파와인을 즐길수있다는게 엄청큰 메리트인것같네요!!!! 비비노 평점도 높은편이고 유명 와인전문가도 가성비가 훌륭하다고 했구요!!! 어쨌든 나파와인 좋습니다!!!!!!

I’m a novice in wine so I don’t really spent a lot on it but at a party few years ago i tried Gargulio G Major Seven Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 from Napa and it blew my socks off. Smoothest and most complex wine I’ve ever tried. And based on the price prob won’t try again anytime soon haha. Have either of you three tried that wine? Is it really worth the price tag? And is there something just as good as that at a lower price point? Thanks, cheers!

i am curious to learn about the pinot noir scene in USA, I heard that Oregon is making good pinot noirs, despite the fact that oregon is not that super famous as Napa
I am not sure but isnt all wines from France the grapes from California due to the boister strain that rotted the French grapes? Im not sure so if you can correct me id appreciate it. Can you do Kirkland Signature blind taste please? I know you have mentioned some of the drawbacks and problems regarding Kirkland wines, but those are really accessible while doing grocery shopping! Also, it would be really nice to know if they are good options for beginners. Thank you.
Could u consider doing tasting on napa wines ca 80-100 usd. Like Paradigm, Stags:Artemis, Pine Ridge vineyards. And discuss how to treat it ((decanting), shelflife and not least variations between years. I thought they would be more consistent than what I experienced trying different years

보통 찐득찐득하고 바디감도 높고 잔당감도 있고(사람에 따라 다소 높게 느껴지기도함) 묵직하고 무겁고 향 엄청 쌥니다. 이게 왠만한, 와인을 처음 접하는 거의 대부분의 사람들한테 잘 통하는 와인이죠^^ 대중에게 가장 잘먹히는 스타일이기 때문에 처음엔 요런 스타일의 와인을 추천하는거니깐요 ㅎㅎ 아참! 프리즈너 미국에서 $35에 맛나게 사먹었어요!! 한국에선 8.8만원....

와인을 처음 까고 마시다가 뚜껑 막아놓고 다음날 마실 때 뚜껑 근처에서 마른 부분이 있었는지 간장 같은 냄새가 나더라고용. 보통 간장? 냄새가 난다고 하면 어떤 경우인가욤?
오, 프리즈너는 자주 가는 샵에서 봤었는데... 그땐 레이블이 특이하다고만 생각했었는데 진판델로 만든 나파 와인이었군요. 진판델은 한번도 먹어본 적 없어서 관심이 생깁니다.

솔직히 두 와인을 다 마셔본 입장에서 말씀드리면 둘 다 좀 오크향이 진한감이 없지 않아 있었고 잔당감이 남아있었는데요... 앞서 코넌드럼이랑 헤스와인과 비교했을때 향의 차이 때문에 퀄리티가 차이 나는건가요?? 궁금해서 여쭙습니다 ㅠㅠ
와인을 입에 머금고 계속 혀로 휘젓다보면 코를찌르는 목초액맛이 나는 와인이 있습니다 코넌드럼 헤스 프릭쇼등등 을 마시다보면 처음에는 진하고 맛있는데 먹다보면 탄내가 납니다

Could u consider doing tasting on napa wines ca 80-100 usd. Like Paradigm, Stags:Artemis, Pine Ridge vineyards. And discuss how to treat it ((decanting), shelflife and not least variations between years. I thought they would be more consistent than what I experienced trying different years

Grand Classique Côtes de Provence Rosé... i am very interested if this is a wine that referes to the punch and elegance he was talking about.
보통 찐득찐득하고 바디감도 높고 잔당감도 있고(사람에 따라 다소 높게 느껴지기도함) 묵직하고 무겁고 향 엄청 쌥니다.
이게 왠만한, 와인을 처음 접하는 거의 대부분의 사람들한테 잘 통하는 와인이죠^^ 대중에게 가장 잘먹히는 스타일이기 때문에 처음엔 요런 스타일의 와인을 추천하는거니깐요 ㅎㅎ
아참! 프리즈너 미국에서 $35에 맛나게 사먹었어요!! 한국에선 8.8만원....
