My GPU doesnt work at %100 so i get low fps sometimes drops to 40-50 for once my GPU worked at %100 and i got 180 fps at ultra settings but like i said my gpu doesnt work at %100 is there any way to fix it?
@@SomeOne-of7nd you’re not going to like it, but no. There isn’t really a way to ‘fix’ this. There are a few reasons for this, but I’ll only touch the simplest Beam is very heavy on your CPU, and unless you have a ballin CPU, it’s very likely you’re CPU bound. To put it another way, the game wants to use 90% of the CPU to run physics and stuff, but the GPU also wants part of the CPU, it Demands 20% to give and make orders. But doing the math, we find that 110% of the cpu is being used, which doesn’t really work, in reality, the cpu prioritizes the game, and drops off 10% of what the GPU wants, leaving it idling. This is dumbed down a lot, so take it with a grain of salt. This also isn’t the only problem, it’s a combination of factors, which makes it hard to determine and fix.

0:51 Time of day can indeed reduce performance, especially with traffic. Depending on the pc if you set the time very early or late the traffic automatically turn on lights which wastes performance especially with low end hardware.
That’s a good point. While changing the time of day to evening can actually improve your frame-rate, depending on what time, ai may turn their lights on, which will tank performance. I recommend changing the time of day slowly to get it as dark as possible without making ai turn on their lights. Hope this helps.

If you dont want to play on susnset only you can just make beamng look 10x better in terms of lighting by tweaking 4 values inside of the "sunsky" in world editor and a few other minimal changes in the clouds and fog
Yep. Most of that is included in my preset. I didn’t explain it in the video, but zeit’s graphics mod is just a way to save, load, and share map editor settings. This includes sunsky, and things like terrain quality, LOD bias, ground cover density, DOF, and AO
0:25 also (at least on my ryzen 5600/gtx 1660ti system) vulkan lags much more with traffic compared to dx11. It may be a general bug with vulkan build currently, but otherwise it does increase FPS dramatically
Vulkan is still in beta, so it’s not flawless. It seems to act very inconsistent system to system; and so the point of the tip was for the user to test if it was right for them. It might not work perfectly for everyone, but for those it does, it seems to make quite a large difference. Im very excited to see Vulkan perfected.

Thanks, normally I do talk quite fast, but I had to slow down quite a bit to make this an actual video, otherwise I wouldn’t nearly be able to fit all the different clips together. But, if you want to watch a slow video faster in the future, you can a actually change TH-cam’s playback speed with the built-in settings

When I press "view in explorer," the mod appears to be named renderer_components_loadsave_zeit and when opening it, it instead brings me to 5 different folders labeled art, lua, scripts, settings, and shaders. I am unable to actually put your settings in there. Instead, it gives me a message that says "Zipped (Compressed) folder has been corrupted." Then, as I am typing this, it now says "File not found or no read permission." It does not let me put the file in.
Oh yeah... the vulcan render... on my pc the boost is -20 performance... yeah i am not kidding. On west coast usa on directx 11 render, i will get around 30 fps but with the vulcan render....10fps....yeah i will stick to directx

several reasons why you may see no change in fps 1. Is your monitor spec'd greater than 60fps? from the factory (how you bought the tv) (extremely important) 2. If you have an RTX graphics card. when it comes to what is within the Invidia app settings, is beamng specifically set on quality? If that is the case, then you won't see fps increases due to the setting be set on quality instead of performance. Quality prioritizing visual fidelity over fps, while performance prioritizes fps. 3. Within your Invidia settings, if that's the graphics card you have, is the setting within Invidia settings also capped for 60fps (this is separate from the Invidia app which the app caters to game settings individually and specifically for each game and it choses based on your hardware what is recommended, or you can adjust what you want it to be greater at when it comes prioritizing between performance and or quality; which is exactly what number 2 up above is all about pertaining to each game that you have specifically within the Invidia app, and you can choose based on your personal preference). However as for the Invidia settings OUTSIDE of the app, its possible that there's a setting in there capped for 60fps which can be manually changed but this a more of a broad setting a not individually game specific at all. You may also have a stand-alone setting on your computer, also Invidia, that knows your monitors resolution but can as well also be manually changed, again affecting fps, however you'd know if this were to be an issue because then you wouldn't have a full screen image fit to your monitor screen resolution aspect ratio but its still worth considerable mention just in case. Last thing about Invidia if you have this graphics card is within settings do you have set on Performance mode, and not energy saving, or balanced. Youd need Performance mode at the very least especially with downloaded mods These 3 things above that I mentioned can easily be overlooked. If none of the 1st 3 things actually apply to you, then the next fairly huge reasons could be, what resolution within the game is beamng set to? If its set to 4k but you don't see over 60 fps, then your graphics card and or vram may be the limiting factor and it will tank your fps overall. Your vram could be a big factor simply because your primary storage space on your computer maybe over 80% full, which you'd have to create space on your computer to see an improvement or your computer automatically maybe to limited on vram from the factory 16GB being the minimum for this games developer recommendation but 24GB being way more optimal and smoother on efficiency, especially in the fps department but especially with mods and tying to play in 4k. Your graphics card may not be up to par to run such a memory intensive game like beamng once you modify it, even though Vulcan isn't a modification. However, if you can't really get away greatly with installed car or map mods, and you are vram limited for whatever reason at the same time, then you'll experience bottlenecking where your graphics isn't being pushed efficiently to a rather stable potential greater in performance than what you're use to seeing for this particular game for Vulcan to make any sort of difference for you positively speaking. Do you have any beamng graphic settings in game at all set on Ultra or even high, since this alone can exceed what your vram and graphics card is able to even support in order to see higher frame rates with Vulcan or modding in general. Are you running several mods, especially map mods which make needed additional vram a necessity of a requirement for performance's sake, and this alone can tank fps. Honorable important mention, is your HDMI cable being a 4k resolution cable, so that you are at least using a cable with the reputation to support better video quality exceeding what your monitor maybe spec'd to no matter if you don't even have any 4k gaming desires, and you would be a cable that definitely supports great fps and not be a limiting factor playing in.

In general, I agree with every point you brought up, however, because we’re talking about Vulkan performance, the experimental, and unstable api; I believe there to be a much simpler answer. Vulkan is wack, and improvement varies wildly device to device. And as the law of parsimony dictates, the simplest answer is usually the right answer. I’m not saying that your response is at all incorrect, it’s just more likely Vulkan is actually just doing nothing, on top of whatever other issues might be present.

For some reason, toggle graphics is not on the list of settings, so I can’t open it how do I fix this?

Try reading the description for a solution, sometimes the “open in browser” sends you to the wrong menu, and so putting in the preset doesn’t work.

Most of the presets given by default are broken. The one I provided you should work fine.

Make sure you’re copying only the contents of the preset zip, not the folder itself. You may need to extract first.
