3D printed Model R Version 2 is here! What's new?
Now model R comes with 3D printed retractable landing gear, the concept is the same which has been successfully tested by many of our clients in the P51 with fantastics feedback. For that reason we decided to totally redesign the wing of our model R in order to provide enough space for the retracts.
-Better canopy latch. We have implemented the locking system based on rubber bands tested in our latest models. This system is safer and cheaper. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
This is awesome. I just got some 2mm rods on sale :D
Awesome!! Now we just need retracts for the Panthera, Stream, and D2.. Please? :D
Very nice. Great job
Could you guys make a guide for prusa to slice and print with LW pla pretty please 🥺
Can I get a copy of your STL or Fusion files for this. Wonderful design!
You can buy the files trough our page: www.eclipson-airplanes.com/allplanes
What material did you use or the 3d printed parts?
Are you using a separate channel for each gear? I am not seeing how get the gears to up and down together using a Y harness. Assuming I am missing something.
Yes, separate channels
I already have the modelR, cant I buy the STLs for the gear instead of purchasing the plans again ?
Did you receive the mail once we launched the V2? V1 buyers could buy the plane with a 75% discount.
I cannot for the life of me get this gear to work properly. Parts binding up, the servos not having enough throw, etc. 😢
Use a longer horn for the servo, or print an extention www.thingiverse.com/thing:3003792
@eclipsonairplanes thank you, I'll try that. The main issue I have is once I screw the housing together, everything binds up even if i back off the screws a bit. Also, once I put the gear into the plane, the servo almost completely stops rotating. I'm assuming a longer control horn would make that worse? Sounds like the control horn is hitting something inside that retracts void, plane side. Model R V2
I had the same issue on first mounting the parts. I needed to sand down the underside of the hammer (part 66) looking at section E-E on the drawings. By sanding the underside the hammer had more room to pass in the last cm of the opened position. I sanded it down like 1mm and then it worked like a charm. The hammer is still strong enough.
Its a good idea but there weak, gone thru 4 sets if they touch grass, they break, an the t bar push lock breaks the eye off alot.
