  • After 4 year of landing here in Canada as permanent resident, finally I can now call myself a Canadian.
    I hope this video will help those are who are going to have their citizenship ceremony soon.
    The virtual ceremony lasted for about 1.5 hours including the waiting time in between registration and the actual ceremony.

      Hi. Yes, before the start of the ceremony, they will confirm your residence and where to send the certificate. I wasn’t given the option for an e-certificate but I know some were given.

    I have a question please. Mine is on ZOOM in a few days. So we repeat after them for the OATH and THEN we are to sign documents (?) and return them to them so we can get our certificate of Citizenship. Will this be made easy by them via email? As in Click here to continue and get your certificate??? I had a very hard time not finding the gov pages and for me they were NOT easy to read or user friendly. Almost mid boggling. How did you sign a document (the oath??) to get it back to them? I don't have a cell phone or a fax machine. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!

    • @canadiankin
      @canadiankin 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      P.S. Congratulations and thank you so much for posting this. I'm so nervous that I will show up with too many documents scattered all around or not the right ones. So you had only pen, paper, camera, drivers license and Permanent Res card and scissors?? That is all we need besides a Bible if we choose for the oath? Am I forgetting anything?
      I've been a ball of nerves trying to figure all this out. Thank you so much! Oh and guess what? I went to google and found more than one version of the Anthem lyrics so I feel I may have printed out the wrong ones. (Sigh) I'm so excited I could faint. I just want to do it all correctly.

    • @iamjerose-oldchannel
      @iamjerose-oldchannel  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. Yes, for the oath ceremony, you will repeat after the judge.
      For the document, there will be instruction how to sign them. During my time, I signed the document after the ceremony and emailed the signed document to them.
      As to how to sign the document, there is also an instruction how to on the first page I believe. What I did is, I signed mg sinature in a blank paper, took a photo of my signature, and then you can affix the photo of your signature onto the document through pdf. I didn’t print the document nor faxed it to them.
      I signed as I described above and emailed it to them. They will also give an instruction what to put in the subject email during the ceremony.
      don’t worry so much, you got this. just be present in the ceremony, prepare your PR card and scissors, and other ID for identification purposes and that’s it.. you can also raise your questions or any clarifications that you need during the ceremony.

    • @iamjerose-oldchannel
      @iamjerose-oldchannel  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep!! you got it all right! don’t worry about the anthem lyrics, you will sing all together both the English and French version.. there might be slight difference in the lyrics that you may have found, but it’s not a big deal :) don’t worry!!
      and congratulations on your citizenship in advance!! 🎉🥂
