      Be careful with your savings. Cash isn’t the best way to save...try gold, silver or other commodities you find suitable. Most importantly, read and educate yourself financially because when this pandemic eases up, a currency crisis is going to happen.

    How about covering the different providers for phone and internet or any of the smaller things that should be known? I've only been here since July, but I am learning that service here is way different than what is acceptable in America. So that would be helpful to know. Who provides the best service, what sites are best for buying or selling online, things like that. Love seeing your videos, they are informative and just found this one.

    • @secretbase.j
      @secretbase.j 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the providers for phone, turkcell is known to have the best service. But i think it is a bit more expensive. I use vodafone, its good enough and has reasonable prices. There is turk telecom as a popular option too but i dont have information about it. I think it is the cheapest one.
      At home i use kablonet for internet. It is good enough, my internet is more stable than some of my friends. However i think in istanbul, always expect a problem with internet time to time.

    • @sglasgowaz
      @sglasgowaz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@secretbase.j Well I had Vodafone for internet which was fine for internet until it went out and after a month trying to get them to come fix it (I am an I.T. person so I knew the problem) I had to cancel since I require internet for work and I still had to pay 1250 for cancelling even though I would never have cancelled if they had sent someone to fix it. Was always, we will have someone there in the next two days with nothing. I even saw two techs with Vodafone equipment in the lobby of my building and still said call customer support which I explained I had a ton of times. Worst customer service and in the U.S.,, they would have no business. It was a disappointment. If they would have fixed their issue, I would not have switched. I have TurkCell for Internet, they hooked me up within a day, it did go out once (so far) and within a day they replaced the fiber connection box. Not the same speeds as Vodafone, but definitely better customer service.

    • @secretbase.j
      @secretbase.j 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sglasgowaz Sad to hear :(. Well i have never used vodafone for home internet, i only used for my phone so i cannot comment on that.
      Tbh i have always heard really bad stories about the customer service for any internet provider in Turkey. I have one friend who uses ttnet and he had to call the service more than 5 times to get a proper help.
      As a person who use kablonet, there was a whole week my connection went out for like 10 times each day. The customer service said they were gonna send some people to help but they never showed up. It turned our the connection box had a problem tho.

    • @sglasgowaz
      @sglasgowaz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@secretbase.j I appreciate the feedback. And yes, service on customer side is weak, but so far, turkcell came fast so can't complain since internet is vital to my work.
