I never get radar vectors. I always have to follow my STAR and I end up getting a Transition for my ILS Approach. Do you maybe know why it's like this?
I think its just based on the airport information BATC has. I think that if it can make you follow your STAR with all the complete data it will and it only resorts to radar vectors when it doesn't have the complete data. This will probably change when they implement AI traffic and it has to route you around other aircraft.
Superb video....Will copy it tonight many thanks.....Quick question re A320 and bATC.. I use British Arways VB as call sign but Beyond comes out with "Bannana something " any ideas ?
If you want the callsign "Speedbird Victor Bravo" (Speedbird being the British Airways callsign), you'd have to make sure you enter "BAW" into the airline section then "VB" into the flight number section in SimBrief when you're making your flight plan. If British Airways VB is a completely separate airline I'm not aware of, then you could try toggling the switch in Beyond ATC's settings saying preferer virtual airlines. If none of that works, then you can report it as an issue in the Beyond ATC discord server and the developers or someone else in the community may know a fix or it could be fixed in a future update.
As far as I'm aware it can only tell you to follow your flight plan or give you radar vectors, I'm not sure if it's capable of visual approaches. I think the main reason it would give you a vectored approach over your flight plan is when it's scenery data is lacking and it can't fully link together all the waypoint in your flight plan.
I hope you enjoy the video!
I recommend the Premium voices. They sound like 50 times more like a Real human. Worth every penny
Thanks for the recommendation, I might give them a try next time I fly.

Great video. Thanks. More BeyondATC videos would be great.
Are there any topics in particular you want me to focus on?

@@RattlesnakeAviation no that’s perfect as my initials are AW Thank you so
Much look fwd to your next video
what are the options ATC can give you - radar vectors, following Flight plan etc? When would they give you radar over another one?

@@RattlesnakeAviation or I guess when traffic gets added - like VATSIM does with the controllers as they manage us all ;-)
Flaps 1 at 8000Ft, with 160 kias?!
I was probably worried about getting the aircraft ahead of me and may have wanted to slow down to give me time to say something.
