Gruesome Plot Unveiled: Police releases pictures of tomb robbers

On December 8, 2023, Victoria Police published photographs of two individuals suspected of attempting to pilfer Meshilin Marrogi, the deceased sister of gangster George Marrogi from her crypt.
Their audacious plan involved feeding her remains to dogs and record a video of the act, in an erratic effort to torment Mesh's incarcerated gangster brother, George Marrogi.
The pictures date back to 30th of July of this year, have recently been released to the media as police seek assistance from the public and even the underworld. The authorities are facing challenges in identifying the individuals depicted in the images.
CCTV footage captured the thieves wearing gas masks outside the mausoleum’s doors, dressed in black hoodies and pants.
According to reports, the thieves allegedly orchestrated a plot to steal Meshilin's body with the intention of capturing footage of it being attacked by dogs. The plan involved delivering the video to George Marrogi, while Meshilin's remains were to be discarded in a different location, adding another layer of torment for the gangster and his family.
During the incident on July 30 at 5am at the double-storey mausoleum at Preston General Cemetery on Plenty Road in Bundoora, the thieves smashed opened the coffin within a crypt and dragged it some distance.
However, the elevator malfunctioned, causing the men to abandon the coffin in their nervous state. Despite this setback, they successfully fled with a $100,000 diamond ring taken from finger of the deceased, leaving the corpse in disarray at the crime scene. The sinister plan was ultimately foiled by the malfunctioning elevator.
