As a career ICU RN of many years what the radical right has done to Dr Fouchi is just egregious. There was a time when the area where I lived was under a smallpox terrorism scare. The hospital where I worked began to put together an isolation smallpox ward. Every last one of us who would work in this unit had to be revaccinated with the smallpox vaccine. When we didn’t show up for that vaccine or any other vaccine for that matter, they came looking for us. It was our reaponsibility to be vaccinated so the hospital could keep running and we could take care of the ill. What happened during the pandemic, even with some in healthcare was horrible and the problem still exists today. Dr Fauchi like many of us in healthcare have given our whole lives to trying to save every life we could. Unfortunately we lost so many with COVID including brave individuals who lost their lives trying to save the lives of others. What has happened to our country where heros became villians? I want my old country back. We are in so much trouble. Diseases once thought gone are going to come back like a vengence because of vaccine reluctance. How many will die then?

As a ICU Nurse Working during the heights of Covid, I had not in over 30 yrs. Of Nursing feared for my life like that ever before. I’m sure that The hospital workers were not even given a second thought in 45’s mind. But still we stayed and fought to save our patients at risk to ourselves, in spite of the Maga Crazies essentially fighting against us the whole time. And had any of them come to our hospital as a patient , we would have proudly taken care of them as well. Because in the midst of Evil, I’m grateful that there will always be good people like our medical professionals still holding us down. We will not be bullied. And That’s just one of many reason why I’m proud to be an American.

Thank you for your service. In 2022, I came down with a bad case of double pneumonia and ended up in the ER with dehydration to boot. Both were doing their best to end me. I was to be admitted but surprise: all the beds were chockablock with covid patients, most of whom had not been vaccinated. Good times. Later that year I caught covid, but because I had kept up with my vaccinations, it was not severe and I was back on my feet again in a couple of weeks.
I don’t understand how African Americans can condone this type of behavior. Just think about Tim Scott being vice president. Will he have any fear because they threatened to hang Mike Pence?
There have been more books written since Trump has arrived on the political scene. I am a retired health care worker and, even though I have not been buying these political books, I will buy this one!! Nothing boils my blood then politicians sticking their noses into healthcare issues, nothing!!!

I spent 25 years not in human medicine but veterinary medicine. The first thing we learned was zoonosis. Transferring of disease from animal to human. Space suits were part of my uniform when handling those patients which was unfortunately quite often when COVID arrived I knew what to do and listened to Fauchi got vaccinated and understood the base of the vaccine. I also watched as these idiots who didn't and opted to take ivermectin and shook my head. The church members who sold Beach based products in Florida the colodial silver and those who thought aquarium tablets would cure them.
Wonder if Alex Jones and Steve Bannon know they can both be held liable if anything happens to those individuals they are attacking. Alex should know that by now since he has to pay out 1.5 billion for the attacks on sandy hook.
