I have enrolled and start learning and received my first 3 certificates after being approved for financial aid BUT when I reach project capstone 1...i could see the material but couldn't have access to the assignment , they were locked and asked me to upgrade to unlock. Please help me
Hi! As of January 2023, I don't think Coursera's certificate is free anymore. I applied for Financial Aid for yesterday and by Week 1's Lesson 3, Peer-graded Assignment, I have to "Upgrade to Submit" which means I have to agree to the 7-day free trial and enter a credit card/PayPal account that they will charge me for once the 7 days are over. I thought of maybe finishing the course before 7 days so I can cancel the subscription but I don't know that it will guarantee a certificate. Update soon!

Tried financial aid in coursera for TESOL, got approved but it says 90% only is free, I still start with the modules but didn't proceed since there is a part asking for a payment to send your assignment, I unenrolled and unsubscribed in the course. Yes po. You can apply up to 10 financial aids. I did that also and yung reasons ko same lang but how this course will help me, I modified it according sa topic ng course ☺️

I already started my online class through financial aid but when I tried submitting my first peer-graded assignment, it says: Submit and upgrade, which means I need to pay for it. Yes, that is the same po. Yung sakin is just 1 course but after that you can proceed to courses 2-8 :) You can take that po.

The first one is totally free but if you apply for other courses, you get to pay half of the fee and they’ll shoulder only half ☺️

Why does my certificate from coursera doesn't indicate "tesol"?
Hello! I just want to ask if the Financial Aid requests can be stacked up? or do we need to request every time we finish a Course?
also, the payment is 10% of the whole program, they will waive 90% of the payment. Thank you!

Hi teacher, I have applied for the same course but when I have submitted, it is showing it is not free! I have to pay some amount. I tried 2 times but both the time same problem happened. I think now they are not giving it for free.

Hi Teacher Marie. I am almost finished with the first course, and at the moment, I am working on the last module. However, after completing the final questions, it says 'review or upgrade to submit.' This account is from last year, and I've only recently come back to it. Do I still need to pay to complete Module 4? It won’t count as completed if I don’t upgrade

I already started my online class through financial aid but when I tried submitting my first peer-graded assignment, it says: Submit and upgrade, which means I need to pay for it. Do I need to wait for my application for financial aid to be approved first in order to continue the online class for free? According to Coursera/ASU, the result of my financial aid application will be received through email on March 16, 2023. Please respond to my question, ma'am. Thank you so much.
I think you just need to wait until your financial aid application has been approved
Hi! kakaapprove ko lang last night.. sa baba po nun is may naka note na if ever you proceed to take the course, it will cancel your application for financial aid.. so kailangan po mag intay para di ma cancel... medyo matagal nga maapprove pero patience na rin. hehe

Hi teacher marie, im an phRN but currently retired napo. I passed IELTS exam 2x already as results expire every 2 yrs. I took it as I was applying as an US RN before covid pandemic. So my last ielts result already expired. Should I take this Tesol even if i had passed ielts for 2x already, if i want to teach at BITU, teacher marie? Many thanx for d reply po....

Hi Good Day Teacher Marie, I already get my first TESOL certificate from arizona. I was able to finish one course. However, there is no name written on the certificate I recieved. What written is only Coursera Learner.

Yes I think they changed it. But 90% is still a great help :)
