It's interesting that audiences think Colin is suspecting Penelope as whistledown but the thought never crosses his mind. The whole time he sees her freaking out and acting different, he thinks she's having second thoughts on marrying him. Which adds a lot to Colins character and journey through part 2.

Blue is the Bridgerton colour, and I think the reason for using it so prominently right now is to signify how unified and in-sync the family currently is. Colin has switched his brown coat for a navy one, now that he's acting more like himself again, and even Eloise, who has worn it less than others throughout, is wearing more blue this season, as she's actively trying to fit in. Also, £5000 back then is well over half a million now, but that's nothing to a family as ridiculously wealthy as the Bridgerton's, so neither Colin or Eloise are tempted by it themselves. Eloise is just worried that the added incentive will lead to Pen being exposed, and Colin getting caught in the middle.

I like how when colin and pen enter the drawing and colin just say "We Are Engaged" not a hi or hello or nothing.

Awe…you cut out Colin saying “I love you!” right before they made love. It’s one of my favorite scenes. When she asks “are you sure?” it made me sad to think she felt she wasn’t worthy. 😭 love your reactions though, always very genuine.
Awww I’m so sorry! I just realized😭 thank you for pointing it out. I’ll try and be more mindful next time. I have to cut out so much so the videos don’t get copywritten, I often forget some moments need to be left in. And I completely agree. Colin was so reassuring and wonderful. i would have love to see the moment where Colin told Pen that he loves her... Pen's emotion at that point --- so heart wrenching... i just love how Nicola and Luke made Polin moments so memorable for the viewers (not limited to intimacy scenes, which i totally agree that you would feel you were intruding to someone's private moments)... been rooting for them since S1... STILL CAN'T GET OVER HOW LOVELY NICOLA PORTRAYED PENELOPE IN THIS EP, SLAY!

The i immediately clicked on this! Excited to hear ur thoughts on this season! It is so far my favourite season bc of the complexities of each character and the way they chose to portray a more vulnerable man instead of the opposite! Will be SAT for the rest of ur reactions!!
Also Colin is actually such a sweety bc while we think he picks up on her being whistledown, he is actually thinking she is rethinking their relationship! He is a very insecure character. And while we as the viewers know that Pen has been in love with him forever, at this point episode wise, all he has really heard from her is that she wants to be more than friends! He has gotten any reassurance from her that she is feeling things in the same intensity that he has, and truly thinks she might be unsure about him! Its why at the end of this episode he gives her an out, saying that they can end the engagement if she got swept up in the heat of the moment. We see this side of him play out a little more over the next few episodes!
The fan is perfect and I vote for it to be in all future Bridgerton reactions

Anthony has been xtra fun this season & I love his fierce competitiveness in playing charades! 😝 Color means a lot in this show. Blues and silver for Bridgertons; citrus colors (yellow, orange, lime) and purple for Featheringtons; the Sharma’s wore purple, teal, and pink; Cressida wears pinks and gold; red is power and confidence (Danbury, Queen Charlotte, Simon the Duke, Lady Arnold’s interiors, and things to come in later episodes 😉). There’s an evolution and blending of color as engagements and marriages occur.
I completely agree and ooooh thank you so much for the color explanations! I didn’t realize they had to do with the marriages but that makes so much sense why pen is seen wearing more blue omg!

I think he rushed to get dressed instead of allowing Pen to finish talking because he didn’t want the servants to see them that way since they are not married yet. They’re not even allowed to be alone without a chaperone yet, not until they wed. He even tells Pen that they can take his carriage through the park so no one will see them.
I know BUT don’t we all wish at that moment she had said at that moment (after getting dressed). I must speak with you now & we must have privacy. Of course she doesn’t because she is so afraid of losing him but this day was the day she should have told him. Her 1st opportunity, it’s agonizing to watch her dig herself into a deeper hole
@@KforFreedom I wish she had told him before they had sex if I’m being honest. Before part 2 came out I was thinking about the whole Marina situation and I didn’t want Colin to be in a similar one. Polin is my favorite couple and I wanted them to do it right, I didn’t want anyone accusing Pen of trapping him because ppl were already saying Colin settled for her even though it’s obvious he’s head over heels in love with her. I wanted Colin going in knowing everything and still choosing to marry Pen without the excuse of honor or duty, so ppl would finally shut up and stop saying these things about their relationship.
@@juanitaguerra5864 Yes, I agree. Instead we got so many beautiful moments where this cloud is hanging over them (making it less enjoyable). I’m glad in the chaise scene that Penelope actually doesn’t know there is more than what happened in the carriage…. She didn’t know that they were taking things to a different level. The show writers didn’t do POLIN justice by dragging this disclosure out for so long. There still could have been plenty of LW drama, with a disclosure of LW to him coming sooner.

Fun fact Nicola and Luke shared a tik-tok where they broke the couch I screamed because I know that will always be an iconic memory between them like remember that time we were doing a love scene and broke the couch leg I myself will never forget it then them being naked on top of everything else going on hilarious iconic on accident 😂😂
