In today's video, we visit Durbar Square in Kathmandu and explore the city! Durbar Square here in Kathmandu is a world heritage site and it's absolutely insane. I spend the day walking around, drinking Lassi, and trying my first-ever Kothey Chicken Mo:Mos. I would recommend anybody visiting Nepal, more specifically Kathmandu to go and visit Durbar Square.

These phrases will help you communicate basic needs and greetings in Nepali:
Namaste Hajur 🙏 = Hello Mr/Mrs
K chha Hajur? = How are you, sir/madam?
Hajur = A polite and respectful way of addressing someone
Patan kataa holaa Hajur? = Where/Which way is Patan, sir?
Kati? = How much?
Taxi vadaa kati? = How is the taxi fare?
Bill kati vayo? = How much is the bill?
Dhanyabaad Hajur! = Thank you sir!
Saathi = Friend
Dai / Vai = Big Brother / Little brother
Didi / Baini = Big sister / Little sister
Raamro = Good/Beautiful
Daami = Awesome / Great! / Best

A lot of the temples and other structures in Durbar Square were severely damaged in the deadly earthquakes of 2015. India is helping Nepal to rebuild the whole area again, hence, so much renovation and construction.

At 8:50 - side of that ongoing reconstruction there is a gate that leads coronation courtyards with museums. It would've been worth it if you had visited inside it :⁠-⁠).
