This is our first day in Seoul, South Korea. We fly to this amazing city from Japan and we spend the day wondering around Seoul, trying out all of the things this city has to offer including south Korean food, typical palaces in Seoul and much more! We love South Korea and we'll be spending the next 2 weeks here in Seoul.

If you're looking to explore a traditional market in Seoul, I'd suggest opting for Gyeongdong Market over the crowded tourist hub of Gwangjang Market. Gyeongdong Market has gained popularity among locals for its affordability and mouthwatering offerings. It's best to steer clear of Gwangjang Market, where prices tend to be higher for foreigners.

In Korea, the principle is to separate waste. That is why there are not many trash cans on the streets. If there are a lot of trash cans on the street, it is because people do not separate waste and throw it away. Also, because there are not many trash cans, people do not drink coffee or food on the street. No. Because there is no time to throw it away later. Foreigners, don't forget this and don't complain that there are no trash cans on the street. Don't create trash yourself.

물론 영국이나 유럽 다수의 도시 안에 산이 있는 경우가 많지 않기 때문에 이해는 합니다.

3:50 There is no problem using Google Maps to check your location in Korea, but what Google lacks in Korea is that it is less accurate than Naver or Kakao when it comes to information about bus routes and subway times. And Naver Map and Kakao Map provide English services.
Seoul is a multi-core city, which literally means there are several centers. 9:55 is one of them, Gangnam.
17:22 Ramen(Ramien, Ramyeon) is a food that originated in China, and became popular in Japan after World War II with the promotion of flour-based foods to solve food shortages. For the same reason, it also became popular in Korea after instant ramen was introduced from Japan. Tantanmien you chose is neither ramen nor Korean food.

@22:30 That building, designed by the Japanese architect Tatsuno Kingo, was built in 1909. In fact, he studied and worked in London, and was heavily influenced by British architecture.
@27:43 That building represents a sad part of Korean history. It was built in the late 1800s when the Korean Empire realized that it was far behind. They constructed Western-style buildings in an attempt to catch up and 'imperialize' Korea. They even changed the name of the country to the 'Korean Empire.' Sadly, a few years later, they were colonized by Japan.

Seoul is much better than Tokyo. In Tokyo, there's not much to see, everything is so expensive (even the most basic things like subway fare), and people are remote and closed.
In Seoul, there are a lot to see and do, things are inexpensive l, and people are open and genuinely nice. They are better-looking and dressed, even!
Go to Seoul, and avoid Tokyo like the Plague!
