I would like to share my experience with my new moonstone ring, I had this for just 2 weeks now and I didnt know it is good for wishes but so many things already happened in my life. I got my 2nd job, I just got my drivers license, my amex credit limit has increased without me requesting it and my dad will buy a new car next week(that I can borrow 😊) I mean its not just me getting all the good news but also people around me which is just amazing. I am planning on buying a moonstone bracelet soon. I am cancer born in June by the way. They say Moonstone is great for Cancer Libra Scorpio Pisces. ❤
Even though they are technically made from the same material as other moonstones, most jewelers do not classify "Rainbow Moonstone" as part of the moonstone family. Instead, they refer to it as "Labradorite" instead. I really do not understand why this is the case, but I guess it is what it is. Just to be careful and something to look out for if you are in the market for a moonstone and someone tries to pass labradorite off as a moonstone. Again, if you really don't care, then go ahead and love your new jewelry! It gets especially tricky when people try to sell labradorite as a natural blue moonstone (which is one of the most valuable of all moonstones). If you can, demand certification before you buy from both online and in person! Gray is my personal favorite.
Labradorite and Moonstone are metaphysically different, so it does matter. I suggest training your eyes to differenciate labradorescence from adularescence, that's the only way to secure a Moonstone.
Great I am cancer and I bought a ring of moon stone according to my chakras and I had a doubt on it but it has no cracks in super soft I wore once before charging the stone it calmed me and I got positive results since in my periods I have not put on instead later I am writing these cause I thought it was fake but not and it's from srilanka thank you for share god bless you.
I got dark green it’s look like black stone plus it’s got blue, green, brown,Ross gold and gold shin it’s dependent on light source. Best thing is it’s got cat eye effect. It’s long time ago I bought it from Barma .
Moonstone is my favourite gemstone, it's odd how relatively unknown it is, quality pieces are spectacular. It's also relatively affordable if you know where to go. Don't mind the obscurity of it tbh, more to go around lol. I do find it odd because of how unknown it is I guess, you sometimes see upalite mislabeled as moonstone or really ugly dull grey pieces sold in upscale mainstream stores. So far I've only found good pieces from small business or in the sterling jewelry section of Lovisa where they don't seem to know how to market the beauty of the stone lol.
Yeah they really are beautiful stones! Yes your right i think most people associate moonstone with the milky white no colored stone but there are much nicer qualities! Thanks for sharing :)
I got a bluemoon stone which is white and blue in colour and when it is turned in light it shows various colours like yellow orange pink red is that real?
Is the blue sheen in moonstones considered/ called "blue moonstone" because i've been recommended to wear a blue moonstone. However i'm confused if the moonstone with blue sheen is a type and another- pure blue moonstones? Someone help me pls
@@DominiqueFlux Oh boy such a long story I have a friend in the refining business I have three moonstones which are fairly clear I need to inspect the more with my loop I believe they are good quality I may even have a star moon stone

@@Nothing19800 oh very cool! Well you can always have them evaluated by a gemologist. They will be able to tell you if they're real, their quality and the market price. If not we also have a video for sapphires on our channel:)
Hi Richard, I wouldn't say that moonstone is rare. The price for a stone will really depend on the quality you buy. So lets say you have a very poor quality, very milky and included with very little color display, a 1 ct stone would go for 5-10$ maybe. Or on the complete other side of the spectrum, for a top quality rainbow 1ct it could be say 200-300$. so they aren't a crazy expensive stone even for high quality specimens :)
A “gemologist” huh? She forgot to mention that rainbow moonstone IS a type of LABRADORITE (white labradorite), it’s not genuine moonstone like she said it is. Rainbow Moonstone, also known as White Labradorite, is actually a variety of Labradorite that exhibits flashy colors and rainbows throughout. The name “Rainbow Moonstone” was coined by the lapidary and mineral communities to describe this stone, even though it's not an Orthoclase (Moonstone).
Well this was a very aggressive comment. I'm sure if you wrote to her she would be happy to clarify with you. The wall in her office has many, many diplomas, definitely a trusted source :)
Hi Arianna, Lauriane here. This is my first comment on TH-cam, had to get the hang of it first :) White labradorite is also a false appellation, and while you are right in the sense that rainbow moonstone is considered a more transparent quality labradorite in the gemmology community, the name rainbow moonstone is the marketed name. The two are not mutually exclusive. What I mean is, they are from the same family: feldspar (like andesine, sunstone, etc) Adularescence in a moonstone can be other Colors, not only blue, but we only talk about the blue because its the most well known and popular. And Labradorescence in Labradorite can also have blue. See where I’m going? Chocolate diamond is a marketed name, doesn’t make it wrong :) Don’t hesitate if you have more questions!
I'm a little confused. I heard rainbow moonstone isn't really a moonstone. I'm a dumb guy and have no idea what I'm doing. I just know I want to get my gf an engagement ring with her birthstone and moonstone is it for September.
Hi Ricardo! Yes so rainbow moonstone is like a moonstone/ labradorite hybrid, which is why you have the beautiful color scheme. :) If your interested in quality faceted moonstone, let me know because I'd love to design your ring with you!

My absolute favorite 🥰
Such a gorgeous energy, very féminine, very soothing, and wonderful for Dreams at night 💫
Such a good energi :)
To me the milky one is the most unique. The clear ones look cheap.
Yeah i also find milky ones more attractive just like a moon 😍
I love moonstones. I have a lot of those. In India, you can find amazing moonstones. I prefer rough ones!!
Me too! Such beautiful stones! Oh very cool do you have any rogh stones mounted in jewelry?
I have. I would like to show you. How can I?
Also, I love rough ones more than Polished if cut perfectly and can reflect.

How much are higher quality clear moonstones worth??
Good question :) so for top quality blue moonstone they can range from 80-300 a carat. For rainbow it will be more. Where you looking for one?
