nintendoboy17 It only meant: "This is a licensed game, you can sue us for it, but good luck in the courtroom." And because "Face-controlled seal" doesn't sound so good.
HistoricaHungarica Then i am missing the "No Japanese developers were seriously harmed in the production of this game". I'd love to see such a statement on the box.
nintendoboy17 Well... it was meant to turn into "quality indicator" (see Nintendo's policy back then) after a while. And don't forget... Atari had no "seal of approval" and it's market was overrun by shitty games that's covers looked alike the ones Atari produced. At least Sega and Nintendo learned a lesson (and taught us) from 1983 in 1984. :D
Six String I think Capcom has a lot of them with the Street Fighter updates especially Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition. Also there is a Nicktoons game I haven't played (but I heard it is pretty good) that in the german version is known as "Action mit Spongebob Schwammkopf und seinen Freunden" (Action with Spongebob Squarepants and his friends) because Spongebob is the only well known Nickelodeon character in germany.
Dizzy was the star of a series of popular games from the late 80's/ early 90's, mainly on home computers such as the Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and C64. The character was created by The Oliver Twins. They were immensely popular with Treasure Island Dizzy probably being the best and most well known.
Amstrad cpc introduced me to dizzy and for me he's up there with sonic and mario as far as nostalgic game characters go, I'm not mad though I'm in the UK and I think code masters had a lot more success over here.
I dont really comment on your videos, as i usually watch them on my xbox on the big screen, but i would like to say that you guys are outstanding entertainment and highly informative. Great work, I always look forward to seeing your videos.
I've been watching this show since nearly the beginning. This is my favorite video game show on TH-cam. You guys bring some respectability to our hobby with a level headed, informative and humorous show. Keep it up!
Tengen Tetris. Oh, did we get robbed by the courts on that one. I strongly prefer this version to the rather droll Nintendo version; the music is better, the stage breaks are enough to give you a breather, and the two-player option is underrated for the time. The Atari arcade game that it was based on always used to get a few tokens from me back then, too. Tengen's unlicensed games were generally at least decent. Vindicators was a lot of fun to play, and the RBI sequels were improvements to the original with better graphics and more teams to pick from. Road Runner and Super Sprint are fair; admittedly, I have a bit of a soft spot for Super Sprint since it was one of the first NES games that I bought after getting the the system. I'm going to keep a look out for Alien Syndrome now, thanks to Joe's Seal of Approval. I really enjoyed this video, guys-- you keep knocking them out of the park. Thanks for the hours of hard work, between capture sessions, script-writing, and filming. The end result always shows how much effort you put in!
While Tengen Tetris has more features, such as 2p mode, the way the blocks rotate is different that from any other version of the game and throws off the feeling so much for me that I don't ever play it.
Shui Hu Feng Yun Shuan not only got an English translation, but also a physical homebrew/semi-unlicensed cartridge release as well, not to mention is known in English language territories as Water Margin - The Tale of Clouds and Winds.
The Ultimate Stuntman for the NES. Loved that game. Incredible soundtrack. Dig up the box art and stand in awe of all the awesome things happening on the front.
Loved the show this week guys. By the way, Dizzy the egg was a pretty big mascot for Code Masters in the UK. ZX Spectrum owners loved Dizzy games. He also appeared on the Master System as well as other Euro home computer systems. can't say I'm a fan though. I've got a load of unlicensed Mega Drive cartridges myself. many of which were not featured on this show such as Rockman X3 or another 2D scrolling fighter similar to Shui Hu: Feng Yun Zhuan and let's not forget all the crappy 1 on 1 fighters such as Top Fighter or a really bad Dragon Ball Z game. Then there's a billion crappy platformers such as Bugs Life. You should check out my site, there's loads listed in the Mega Drive section - www.segagagadomain.com/
Just recently discovered you guys and I absolutely love the channel. It's like the digital equivalent of going to a friends house, heading over to his game collection and having him say "Hey, you want to see something cool?"
I am legitimately blown away by Bee52's parallax effect, as it's the first instance of true multi-plane scrolling I have seen on NES, and I'm not talking about the games where they fake it, via line-scrolling (like in VICE Project Doom or GI Joe). Also - like dozens of people before me said - Dizzy might deserve another look... though probably NOT Treasure Island, as it's the most sadistic game in the series, giving you just a single life for the entire quest. I'd say, track down Dizzy The Adventurer or Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy on NES for a far better representation. Alternatively, try the more modern takes on the genre, like Spud's Quest, Wizzley Presto, or my own Mystik Belle.
Just wanted to take the time to comment on how a couple months ago I didn't know you guys existed. But now, I am always happy to see a new vid from you guys on my subs list. Keep up the great work, I love the format of background info, commentary, then showing gameplay which let's the game speak for itself. Plus the slight jabs at each other as fanboys never gets old. The fact that you can talk about a game that I've beaten many times before and know inside out and still make it entertaining is amazing. Thanks gamesack!!!!
Another half hour episode already? Given how often you guys upload these videos it's surprising how long they are and how great the quality is... Thanks for the frequent and free half hour installments of entertainment, always get excited when you pop up on my subscription list and have to get some popcorn or something for it lol
Even though Game Sack has helped me (immensely) with my collecting over the years, and it is always of the utmost technical quality, I have to say that my FAVORITE part of every single Game Sack episode is the ending short skit. Joe and Dave have such perfectly rigid delivery and timing. I would like to be surprised some day by an extended sketch at the end of a future episode. They always make me laugh.
Game Sack Dave it seems like you guys have been doing videos together well before Game Sack. I won't lie, when you guys did the WTF episode and threw in a joke you two have been doing since the mid 90's I was blown away. "What a f**king dick!" indeed.
Haha wow, Bee 52. I didn't realize that was an unlicensed game. Back in the 90s my best friend's grandmother bought it for him from the Home Shopping Network.
Legend of the magic warrior was surprisingly a lot of fun. I gave the english patch a try and quickly found myself sucked in. The music is FANTASTIC! The battle theme is especially great.
agreed, the music is indeed great and I believe the composer (Liao Yishen, sometimes called Liao Hanmin in games and Liao Dasen/Big Sam on stage. He is a radio DJ, singer, and minor celebrity and confirmed he got his start composing for video games in an interview) did SHFYZ and the lion king 2 bootleg, as well as a lot of other Taiwanese games. His stuff on the GBC under Vast Fame is particularly good and very underrated. Take a listen to the OSTs of Zook Hero Z, Shui Hu Shen Shou (a Pokemon clone based on the same novel as SHFYZ, a friend of mine did an english playthough), Shui Hu Shen Shou, and Queen Fighter 2000, available on Handheld underground. They are also very good
I love these videos. I always learn something new from you guys, and have made many quality purchases based on what I've learned. I learned about Pier Solar from you guys, and I love that game! You guys are informative and entertaining. Game Sack! It's better than TV!
The Codemasters games were quite shallow because they were remakes of budget 8 bit computer games. The Dizzy games were released on the C64, Spectrum and Amstrad CPC and only cost £2.99 each. Full price games at the time were £9.99. They became really popular because they were pocket money priced.
8:14 - 8:22 That's Kids Run Through The City Corner from Final Fantasy 6. You didn't catch that? I must confess I'm a bit surprised. Guess it just happens.
RarefoilB I immediately recognized its provenience, though I didn't know it's name. When is it played in the game? Sorry but I played it too long ago :)
I knew Chiller was going to be here. I've had it complete in box since a child, fun memories. It has replay value in finding out what else you could shoot. I also have Fantasy Zone complete.
One of the best moments in Game Sack history: "I wish I could rise up from behind her." Died! But keep in mind those bubbles are presumably originating from her behind, if you know what I mean. A very unique ability.
I'd love to see another Arcade vs Console Episode. Some suggestions: -Killer Instinct (Arcade vs SNES) (KI2 vs KI Gold) -Time Crsis 2 (Arcade vs PS2) -Golden Axe (Arcade vs Genesis vs Master System) -Super Hang-On (Arcade vs Genesis) -Super Monaco GP (Arcade vs Genesis vs Master System vs. Game Gear -Donkey Kong (Arcade vs 7800 vs NES vs GB) -Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move (Arcade vs. SNES) -Marvel Super Heroes (Arcade vs Saturn vs PS1) -Final Fight (Arcade vs SNES vs Sega CD) I'd also love it if you guys did an entire episode dedicated to any of the following games/systems/topics: -Space Harrier (In a similar style to Out Run/ After Burner) -Hang-On/Super Hang-on -Super Monkey Ball -Nintendo Wii -SNES -FM Towns Marty -Amiga CD32 -PlayStation 2 -Game Gear and its exclusives -Atari Lynx -Neo Geo AES -An episode about different console add-ons you haven't discussed in depth as of yet (N64 DD, etc.) -An episode about the controllers you didn't discuss in your prior episodes (Pre 8-bit, 8th generation, etc.), I'd be interested if Joe could explain to idiots like me how the Atari 5200 controller works, and why it breaks so easily. -An episode about your favorite horizontal/vertical shooters -A Top 10 of the worst games you've ever played -An episode about the first games you played for systems (that weren't pack-in games) that made you hopeful for the system, or that left you with a bad first impression. -Your Top 10 Worst/Most Disappointing Arcade Ports. Great video again guys. Keep up the good work.
just wanted to say i love your show and out of all the shows about retro gaming, you guys put on the best show hands down. the work put into these impresses me and how joe breaks down the system and how you guys review the games. i also love how joe is a sega fanboy and dave is a nintendo fanboy. i look forward to every show you guys put out. never stray away from what you love and keep doing it big
Right guys Dizzy is a great game, yes with cheap deaths but you have to work out what do an what not to do. Almost like another world. And it was a game that every British guy around my age remembers very fondly from their childhood. I would suggest you try it again and then say nice things about them.
exactly. i do generally enjoy the game sack videos but looks like they could have done more research, surely these were just ports from either the cpc or commodore or speccy 128.
Dave - every bee in the world can sting multiple times and not die. Problem is only when stinging bigger animal (like human) - then sting will stay in flesh of victim and bee when pulling out will lose it's intestence and die.
V.R Taken has one noteworthy thing about it: The claim by Sega that Shun Di and Lion Rafale needed to be cut from the actual Virtua Fighter 2 on Genesis due to space constraints has officially been debunked.
Nobody I knew had a Master System growing up, so those Tengen games coloured my view of what its games were about for years. I actually really liked them, especially Fantasy Zone & Alien Syndrome (enough to rent it twice, even), but the low quality programming made me think "This is what Sega people are making such a big deal about? Really?"
In that last game, I noticed the three characters seem to have the exact same animations as Arthur, Lancelot and Percival in Knights of the Round, so it's not just the powerup-splitting gimmick they borrowed.
Yep I saw the same thing it’s literally knights of the round with a real in and a magic button. That’s hilarious same walking animations same weapons standing animations special attacks if you look close when he used the magic the character model of the boss changed to the shogun boss in the first world and the character outline is of Arthur.
Dizzy was really popular over here in UK/Europe on the Amiga and Atari ST systems. I believe he was also on the Comodore 64. They were hard as shit too!
9:24 I like how you used the original PlayStation's slogan there. When I first saw the PS1 commercials, I thought it meant "You're naughty" until I realized it meant "You're not ready" because of the red "E". Maybe thats why Sony got rid of the slogan. But it suits this NES game well.
I think I have that Quatro cart with Robin Hood. I always try to pick up any of those goofy looking carts when I see them. I actually rented the original Tengen Tetris way back when it first came out. I was never super into that game, but there was just something cool about the Tengen version.
How dare you not like V. R Fighter vs. Taken 2! It's even better than the Genesis version of Street Fighter 2. The one games that can come close are Beast Warrior and Shaq Fu. Unsubscribe!!1
Bee 52 looks like fun and it also kind of reminds me of, all things, Choplifter, except instead of rescuing fellow bees, you get more honey for your hive by going to all of the different flowers that are on the stage/level/world/area.
I remember some of the Camerica games (particularly Micro Machines and Bee 52) being sold on the Home Shopping Network back in the day. It's possible they even had infomercials at some point.
Great Video. In my country we got a lot of chinese famicom clones and unlicensed games. We got stuf like Somari, Sonic 5, magic carpet, pokey, super maruo. There were some arcade ports like Master Fighter II (SF2 with 4 playable characters), Super fighter III(SF2 with 9 characters), Super Blaster turbo 5 (SF2 with a lot of characters), Mortal Kombat II/III (Mortal Kombat port), Mortal Kombat II Super Special (Mortal Kombat II port), Fatal Fury, BBcar (Rally X chinese port). Other unlicensed Street fighter game was Street Fighter IV (developed by Hummer team and published by Gouder Co in 1993) this one have all original characters with weird names like "Pasta" and "Stalong"
9 ปีที่แล้ว
I'm not sure if someone already mentioned, but that genesis chinese game in the end, the one that is similar to Golden Axe and Knights of the Round, actually rips off not only the item mechanics from Knights of the Round. The three main characters are visibly a repaint of the original main characters from Knights of the Round (the shirtless guy is Arthur, the girl is Lancelot, the axe dude is Parcival), many of the enemies and a few of the stages are built the same way as far as I could see on the video. They did add a few of their own quirks though (the magic specials stuff), but apparently did away with the level up/armor up system of the original Knights game, which was awesome. Anyway, nice episode! :)
Brave Battle Saga reminded me a lot of a Sega Genesis version of Chronotrigger. I am also disappointed they did not do the NES Tengen Road Runner. I loved that game as a kid.
When I was a kid a friend and I had a ton of fun with Alien Syndrome! Also, Codemasters made another game we spent a good deal on for the NES called Micro Machines.
The Dizzy games were HUGE in the UK and there were a lot of them. Almost all of them were lower price games (about £2-3) and released on cassette (as were most games) for home micro computers such as the Sinclair Spectrum or Commodore 64. I once played one later on on a console, it might have been a Megadrive, but it didn't feel the same for some reason.
Joe & Dave: You probably already know, but the reason Nintendo had the archaic licensing system was because of the complete lack of such a system on the Atari 2600, which gave that game system a huge library of very similar low-quality games, which crowded the market and hastened the collapse of the video game industry. While the amount of "quality control" in the NES library is somewhat questionable, Nintendo did profit from every official game, and their artificial rarity helped them to keep their retail value for awhile, which kept the industry alive.
This is why I like Game Sack. On so many of their episodes (like this one) they cover games that I never EVER would have heard of otherwise. Best retro gaming show ever!

I'm surprised such an eloborate show like this is publicly free on the Internet, this should be a TV show with all the work you guys put into it. You guys are awesome, keep it up :D
GamingCompass
The show is great for people interested in this topic, but it's a tiny special interest group. So on TV it would bomb and not survive the first Episode. That's why all shows on TV more or less look the same, as they try to go for the greatest common divisor. Wat deviates from the mainstream will (financially) not work.
Same would be true with a good show about modern developments in quantum mechanics or mathematics ... some things are simply not mainstream compatible, no matter how good they are, which also has it's good sides: no dedicated Brony TV show until now.
Yeah, that's completely true. I never looked at it from that perspective.
There's only about 4 million specialty cable channels out there. Have you seen how horrid some of the shows are that they give airtime to and continue on for season after season... This show could thrive if it found the right channel.
TooBokoo
So you really think gamers are preferably just waiting to watch something on TV and don't prefer the internet ? Those specialty channel are primarily targeted at that aging and continuously shrinking target group.
TV is in principle in the long run as dead as radio, newspapers, vinyls/CDs, DVD analog books and wrist watches.
I'm not saying that, I'm just saying, I don't think a show like this would necessarily fail, if given the right channel.
Micro Machines for NES was unlicensed and probably on of the greatest unlicensed games on the system. Should have been on the list for sure.
"I don't think those quality seals mean a damn thing" - Joe Redfer
THANK YOU! I can't believe some internet posters believed it ever did.
nintendoboy17
It obviously means "we made money out of this".
nintendoboy17
It only meant:
"This is a licensed game, you can sue us for it, but good luck in the courtroom."
And because "Face-controlled seal" doesn't sound so good.
HistoricaHungarica
Then i am missing the "No Japanese developers were seriously harmed in the production of this game". I'd love to see such a statement on the box.
HistoricaHungarica Oh, I know that. But come on, it didn't mean shit in regards to how good games are/were.
nintendoboy17
Well... it was meant to turn into "quality indicator" (see Nintendo's policy back then) after a while.
And don't forget... Atari had no "seal of approval" and it's market was overrun by shitty games that's covers looked alike the ones Atari produced. At least Sega and Nintendo learned a lesson (and taught us) from 1983 in 1984. :D
You guys should do an episode titled "Great Games With Terrible Names"
Six String Agree, that would be awesome! :D
Six String I think Capcom has a lot of them with the Street Fighter updates especially Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition. pheedbaq town music for a fighting game haha
That's hilarious, I noticed it too.
howdareyou66 I bet they totally asked Nobuo Uematsu and Squaresoft for permission to use that song.
Yeah, I thought I recognized that theme

Haha wow, Bee 52. I didn't realize that was an unlicensed game. Back in the 90s my best friend's grandmother bought it for him from the Home Shopping Network.
John Smith That's funny. Joe bought his Super Nintendo at a grocery store.
I've said it before but I'll say it again: You guys have the best T-Shirts
Legend of the magic warrior was surprisingly a lot of fun. I gave the english patch a try and quickly found myself sucked in. The music is FANTASTIC! The battle theme is especially great.

corgiGY Good info. Dizzy was never a popular character in the US. Well I don't remember him anyways.
Also bad music? I think the music in them is great for the most part
15:40 actually bees can sting insects mutiple times without dying. It's only when stinging humans is where their stingers go too deep
8:14 - 8:22
That's Kids Run Through The City Corner from Final Fantasy 6. You didn't catch that? I must confess I'm a bit surprised. Guess it just happens.

enigmaster84 It's the Town theme.
thanks :)
I knew it was from either that game or Secret of Mana! My memory is kinda bad
I'm glad this episode didn't have the Game Sack seal of quality! It doesn't need it!
Another great Episode guy's!
Thank you.
I knew Chiller was going to be here. I've had it complete in box since a child, fun memories. It has replay value in finding out what else you could shoot. I also have Fantasy Zone complete.

Great episode as always!
One of the best moments in Game Sack history: "I wish I could rise up from behind her." Died!

You guys were spot-on when it comes to Alien Syndrome. That's such an amazing game. I had no clue that it wasn't licensed.
I'd love to see another Arcade vs Console Episode. Some suggestions:
-Killer Instinct (Arcade vs SNES) (KI2 vs KI Gold)

-Golden Axe (Arcade vs Genesis vs Master System)
-Super Hang-On (Arcade vs Genesis)
-Super Monaco GP (Arcade vs Genesis vs Master System vs. Game Gear

-Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move (Arcade vs. SNES)
-Marvel Super Heroes (Arcade vs Saturn vs PS1)
-Final Fight (Arcade vs SNES vs Sega CD)
I'd also love it if you guys did an entire episode dedicated to any of the following games/systems/topics:
-Space Harrier (In a similar style to Out Run/ After Burner)
-Hang-On/Super Hang-on
-Super Monkey Ball
-Nintendo Wii
-SNES
-FM Towns Marty
-Amiga CD32

-An episode about different console add-ons you haven't discussed in depth as of yet (N64 DD, etc.)
-An episode about the controllers you didn't discuss in your prior episodes (Pre 8-bit, 8th generation, etc.), I'd be interested if Joe could explain to idiots like me how the Atari 5200 controller works, and why it breaks so easily.
-An episode about your favorite horizontal/vertical shooters
-A Top 10 of the worst games you've ever played
-An episode about the first games you played for systems (that weren't pack-in games) that made you hopeful for the system, or that left you with a bad first impression.

Great video again guys. Keep up the good work.
Mike DiLoreto Don't forget Time Killers on Genesis vs Arcade.
just wanted to say i love your show and out of all the shows about retro gaming, you guys put on the best show hands down. the work put into these impresses me and how joe breaks down the system and how you guys review the games. i also love how joe is a sega fanboy and dave is a nintendo fanboy. i look forward to every show you guys put out. never stray away from what you love and keep doing it big
V.R. Fighter Vs. Taken 2 would have actually gotten praise had it featured an unlockable Liam Neeson!
Had a pretty terrible weekend, but then I realized it's the week of a new gamesack! Always a nice surprise
Right guys Dizzy is a great game, yes with cheap deaths but you have to work out what do an what not to do. Almost like another world. And it was a game that every British guy around my age remembers very fondly from their childhood. I would suggest you try it again and then say nice things about them.
I second that.....but we can't stay mad at game sack for long xD
Maybe Game Sack could do a UK episode, it would be interesting to see what the perspective over the pond is.
budbudley Dave would go into meltdown because the NES wasn't a thing and Joe would be loving it! Make it happen Game Sack!
Dizzy rocks. I own the nes and Genesis version. They need to give it another try.
exactly. i do generally enjoy the game sack videos but looks like they could have done more research, surely these were just ports from either the cpc or commodore or speccy 128.
Great episode as usual. Always makes my Sunday better when I see a new video uploaded from you guys.
"I wish i could rise up from behind her..."
hahaha
I guess that he is sleeping on the couch tonight before he gets the letter of divorce from his wife tomorrow.
Dave - every bee in the world can sting multiple times and not die. Problem is only when stinging bigger animal (like human) - then sting will stay in flesh of victim and bee when pulling out will lose it's intestence and die.
Micro Machines without a doubt, one of top unlicensed games on NES that could have received an official cart.
19:45 I love how Dave almost cracks while talking about how branches are the mortel enemies of toobins
Rolling Thunder for the NES was done by Tengen and is excellent!
Pretty cool that EA responded to you Joe. The day's when they actually cared about their customers thoughts and opinions.
I will watch this, the moment I'm done being drunk from my birthday. I love you guys, but hammered I am.
GuideToWhatever Happy Birthday!
Game Sack Dave Thanks Dave 😊
GuideToWhatever lol I know how it is to get home being drunk and realize there's a new GameSack episode
Hello from the future! Codemasters made budget games, when these were released on the CPC 464, Spectrum et al they'd have been no more than £4.99
Best video game TH-camrs ever!
amaizeniam Thanks!
V.R Taken has one noteworthy thing about it: The claim by Sega that Shun Di and Lion Rafale needed to be cut from the actual Virtua Fighter 2 on Genesis due to space constraints has officially been debunked.
Oh, you're going to get shit from the Brits for criticising Dizzy, just wait and see...
I give this video my seal of approval for being another quality Game Sack episode
I have that mega man skull as a tattoo on my arm lol
Nobody I knew had a Master System growing up, so those Tengen games coloured my view of what its games were about for years. I actually really liked them, especially Fantasy Zone & Alien Syndrome (enough to rent it twice, even), but the low quality programming made me think "This is what Sega people are making such a big deal about? Really?"
You guys NEVER heard of Dizzy? - He was a big deal in the 80's on the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad
True, but none of those were that popular in the states
jbfarley yes but for some reason the commoodore 64 was most popular in michagan, my dad and most most of his friends had one
All the dizzy fans are standing up to be counted in the comments section....I love it!!!
Mongoose On A Unicycle Still looking for the 30th coin!
Absolutely LOVE your channel i eagerly await every weeks episode, thanks for your hard work and keep it up fella's !
Dizzy was code masters mascot and was very popular on home computer in Europe. It has still a following with euro retrocomputing fan.
I love this show, these guys are fun to watch and listen to. I hope to see more come out.
9:24 I like how you used the original PlayStation's slogan there. When I first saw the PS1 commercials, I thought it meant "You're naughty" until I realized it meant "You're not ready" because of the red "E". Maybe thats why Sony got rid of the slogan. But it suits this NES game well.
I thought it said "Ur Not e", like "ur note".
YAY I have been hoping you guys would do an episode on unlicensed games. Thank you so much!
dizzy rocked!, was a really deep adventurey feeling game for the time, played it alot on the zx spectrum :)
And The Gaming Historian did an excellent in depth segment on the story behind Tengen on the NES just last week. Probably his best piece so far.
2:50 Before CJ was a black guy in gta he used to be an elephant!
I used to have that cartridge with that Dizzy game and that Robin Hood game! Aaaaaaah, my search is finally over, thank you guys!
Dear god, you guys don't know Dizzy? Dizzy was hugely popular on the Spectrum and Amiga - even on PC.
redavatar Yep. I'm just learning now of the popularity of Dizzy in Europe. He was not popular or even advertised here in the US.
Game Sack Dave Considering half the replies are in a similar vain to mine, I bet you were surprised to find that out :p
I really liked this video, I've always been a bit fascinated by unlicensed games and this was very informative. Thank you for making this video.
Why does LOTR have FF6 music?? D:
All these games in the end deserve their Quality Seal. They are just awesome :)
theres a uncencored frame at 9:48 right in the word magic :P
Justagermannerd :)
Aw great, now this video's gonna be re-uploaded. Thanks.
Justagermannerd Does 8 bit nudity count though
Zeldas Champion fox cencored a 179mill$ piccasso painting for nips , so i dunno
Mors Fangaming... What am I going to do with you? (shrugs)
I think I have that Quatro cart with Robin Hood. I always try to pick up any of those goofy looking carts when I see them.
I actually rented the original Tengen Tetris way back when it first came out. I was never super into that game, but there was just something cool about the Tengen version.
How long have you guys been doing this awesome show? =)
TheDefectiveTurret 4 years now.
Game Sack Whoa. Lets go for another year!
TheDefectiveTurret It took me a while before I really sat down and started watching this show but I'm glad I finally did because it's so fun to watch.
Evan Davis Those guys are very informative, aren't they?
Evan Davis This show is very good and addicting to watch.
Your show is great. I discover games I missed and check out all the time. Keep it up!
Are you still alive?
Dave impacts against the difficulty curve of Fantasy World Dizzy, the Dark Souls of its time
Ghost81 Almost every game was a Dark Souls at that time tho.
HistoricaHungarica Not like this, or should I say: not like Diz
+Ghost81 Treasure Island Dizzy was even worse, you only had 1 life IIRC , still both great games though
Another great episode guys thanks for all the hard work. I never even heard about Lion King 2, & 3
How dare you not like V. R Fighter vs. Taken 2! It's even better than the Genesis version of Street Fighter 2. The one games that can come close are Beast Warrior and Shaq Fu. Unsubscribe!!1
You guys are awesome thank you for the reviews and the laughs Joe & Dave
Notice me dave senpai
Jared Juarez Hello.
Game Sack Dave Hal: "Hello, Dave."
Shall we play a game?
Whatever game you want senpai
You guys should appear on the screen more often. the banter between you both are some of the best parts of the videos
Iraq War 2003 - Sega Genesis
WHAT?!!! No Game Sack seal of approval at the end of the video?!
My favorite unlicensed game by far, when I was a kid, was Road Runner for NES. I absolutely loved its music, and I was a big fan of the cartoons.
This was a really cool video, I didn't expect there to be as many playable games on it.
There's only one place for retro and this is the place to be. GAME SACK!!!
Bee 52 looks like fun and it also kind of reminds me of, all things, Choplifter, except instead of rescuing fellow bees, you get more honey for your hive by going to all of the different flowers that are on the stage/level/world/area.
*drops everything and watches new game sack episode*
LOL ! The song playing during that orc fight was the village theme from Final Fantasy 6
Sonic Jam 6 takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom, while Lion King II takes place in China.
Wow, you learn something new every day.
I remember playing Tengen Tetris at a friend's house one time! Another great episode!
8:50 "The game is not half bad, but really just half good". WHAT IS THE OTHER HALF THEN, GUYS?
Aw yeah. Stoked to see a new Sack.
Brave Battle Saga reminded me a lot of a Sega Genesis version of Chronotrigger. I am also disappointed they did not do the NES Tengen Road Runner. I loved that game as a kid.
Great video as always guys :) Loved hearing that Wangan Midnight 3 track in the intermission too.
When I was a kid a friend and I had a ton of fun with Alien Syndrome! Also, Codemasters made another game we spent a good deal on for the NES called Micro Machines.
There was a random bar in West Virginia that had Bubble Bath Babes. It was a shock to see it long after the era it was from.
My son and I love your show!
