    This place was amazing! There is no staff to wait on you or to clean up after you. The machines are all very unique and the prices can't be beat.

      Automats are a slightly different idea; where cooks are continually making things and putting them up in little display cabinets (that may be heated or cooled), and then people could insert coins to buy them / unlock the door. I also love this idea & wish it would make a comeback (and it would be great on large college campuses).

    • @lamelama22
      @lamelama22 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Advanced vending machines lasted longer on campuses & are still around at few unlike the rest of America. I remember seeing those fancy coffee vending machines at MIT in the mid 2000s and there was 1 left in one of my college's buildings in the late 2000's. But the rise/spread of coffee places like Starbucks/DD, and the tastes changing from "coffee" to "iced double mocha vanilla venti espresso shot frapuccino with a heart drawn on top in the foam pls"; they've almost died out... not to mention Keurigs.
      They might be making a comeback soon in a different form. With the rise of $15 min wage regulations; some of the fast food companies have put $ into developing machines that can literally replace the entire staff cooking burgers and the machines are ready to go. Some McDonalds, Taco Bells, and BKs have experimented with or already implemented kiosks to take orders. It wouldn't take much to make a fully automated burger joint at this point, available 24/7; with the food being the same at all hours.

  • @WaariGaming
    @WaariGaming 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1020

    In reality all the machines are not automated. There is a tiny man sitting inside every single one preparing the food.

    Hey guys! We knew how much all of you enjoyed our last vending machine video so we decided to take a trip to Saitama to show you a Vending Machine Restaurant. It's one of a kind and the food was surprisingly tasty!
    I do wish they had a few more machines in there. For example, a coffee/tea machine as well as a machine selling dessert (ice cream) would have made the meal complete! What do you guys think?

      It's actually part of Japanese culture not to express extremes when it comes to opinion, not only to not offend anybody, but also because personal opinion is often reserved for very close relations (which Satoshi doesn't have to either the owner of the restaurant, or the TH-cam audience). Shinichi grew up in Hawaii, were the culture is not like that. Chris Broad, from Abroad in Japan TH-cam channel gave a hilarious example of this in one of his videos where he says that he once asked one of his English class students (he was Japanese of course) if they had a pet. To which he answered "I don't know, mabye, I had a cat, but he is dead.". Even when asked such a simple question, he didn't give a straight yes or no. xD

    51歳です。僕が一桁の歳の頃だったかな?これらの販売機が登場し始めました。その時の僕の驚きを今の人達が共有してるのは面白い。今のマシンの食品は明らかに当時より美味しく見えます。手作り感たっぷりで好感が持てます。当時は決して美味しいものではありませんでした。たぶん、あの頃はメーカーさんが販売機の食品を提供してたんだと思います。食べてみたい、私も行ってみようと思いました。映像ありがとう!

    The traditional Italian toast is usually made with only ham and cheese or the "toast farcito" which is ham and cheese with finely diced pickled vegetables. However that toast looked so yummy 😋 Greetings from Italy

    I dont know why you didnt eat your food as you bought it. The quality of it probably would have been much better had you eaten the toast right off the bat. Could be why the toast wasnt toasty? Ive gotten them where the bread is pretty crispy. It all looks fantastic though!

    The US actually used to have "Automat" diners back in the 50's/60's, but actually had cooks in a room behind a wall of item vending doors to keep refilling items as needed.

    I notice that in most places around the world when someone gets a double cheeseburger it is the cheese that they comment on. In the U.S. a double cheeseburger is a double meat patty burger usually with only the one slice of cheese.
    I do wish that we had these type of food vending machines in the U.S.
    I have just started watching your videos but I am enjoying them. Keep up the good work.
