The titanium version is actually heavier than the 7075 T6 version. The mount on the aluminum version is a lower 1/3 while the titanium is a full co witness mount.

@Adam Gautreaux Well the good news is that any Aimpoint T-1 or T-2 mount will fit it, so you still should be able to find a good option. The optic is well worth the money so don't be too disappointed. I'd rank it higher than either an Aimpoint T-1 or T-2. It's well worth spending a little extra for a lower 1/3 if you feel the need.

Yes the titanium version is heavier. But that's due to the fact it has the same physical dimension as the aluminum version. So let's say the aluminum housing is 10mm thick of 7075 aluminum. It's also 10mm thick of titanium. Which makes it way more durable as titanium is stronger than anodized 7075. Iirc its grade 5 titanium. Idk the exact thickness of the housing tho so I just said 10mm😂

@@aahhronismyname8068 That's right. This thing is built like a tank. It probably would survive being run over by a tank. 🤣

Do I really need the Titanium version and spend 100 EU more? Honest opinion...

Yes if you're Rambo. No if you're anyone else.
As a former machinist who's cut titanium I'll say it's a strong metal, but when you cut it thin for gun optics I would imagine it breaks the same as other metal types.
