As sudden as Tommy cutting ties with Rosenberg was, he at least has honor in the sense that he didn't betray Rosenberg and instead paid for his rehab before quietly parting ways. Says a lot about Tommy's character, as most mob bosses would deal with addicts and Ken and Tommy were good friends, and Tommy would never betray anyone unless they were a danger to him. Tommy parting ways with Rosenberg was necessary, otherwise he could've inadvertedly put the entire Vercetti gang in danger.
tommy was a complete asshole. He showed no respect to ken ever since the beginning of the events ov VC, he pushed and bullied him, he mocked him. Rosenberg endured all this abise and still didn't betrayed Tommy. After all this, Tommy simply dumped in the rehab center on the other side of the country and cut all ties. This is because Ray Liotta was a pain in the butt for R* and the studio didn't wanted to work with him anymore. Seems he kept having temper tantrums and hissy fits during filming.

It's possible for them to do it now with the technology we have and there being amazing voice actors who can mimic someone perfectly but Rockstar is corrupt and careless now, they won't do the fans justice.

That would obviously be much better than the garbage definitive editions we got in November

Yea Tommy was more fair to people like Ken and Lance than he had any reason to be. If it was Sonny he would’ve just had them whacked but Tommy offers many chances unless they betray him which then he just kills them

All GTA protagonists are a hardened criminals and mass murderers lol. But all of them except Claude have a moral compass and sense of loyalty to their friends or families.

My fan theory about Tommy knowing how Ken is after San Andreas is that yes he did find out about Ken working with Madd Dogg (probably from television or connections) and sees that Ken is enjoying his life and decides to leave him to his own terms instead of trying to reconnect

The ending in Vice City is sad in and on itself, as we see Ken's addiction get the better of him and alone trapped in a mob war for control of a casino. Kent Paul is the only Vice City character to be his only friend left until a fateful meeting with CJ.

Rosenberg relishes with Tommy's victory, but they eventually drift apart in 90s when Rosenberg's coke addiction goes out of control. Tommy had to send him to rehab and had to cut ties. Ken Rosenberg is a best played character by William Fichtner. I had no idea that Ken Rosenberg and Sandman(Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3) were the same voice because Rosenberg sounds panicked and Sandman as a hardcore spec ops soldier. Which proves that Fichtner has some good voice acting skills.
I like to think that Tommy also doesn't want Ken to come back because he is a recovering addict and Tommy is a drug dealer. Tommy knows that if Ken comes back, it is far too likely he gets back into drugs. Tommy doesnt want that.
Such a shame and a missed opportunity for Rockstar games to not restore all the cut content in the definitive edition, that would have made the definitive edition a mix between a nostalgia and a new experience for new and old players and it probably would have been a good reason to buy it again even if it was bugged as hell.
Blud, the objective of the "Definitive" edition was never to be THE definitive experience of the 3D era but for CASH. So that you know, the version they used for the games are the mobile versions - YEAH -. The game's soundtracks are incomplete because they couldn't and wouldn't pay for the rights even though Rockstar is making 1 BILLION per year.....
I saw the notification and I came here very quick! I really loved Tommy and Ken's relationship in Vice City. It was so sweet and wholesome. I feel bad for Rosenberg by the time the events of San Andreas began. Fun fact: Tommy was originally supposed to talk to Ken during The Introduction, but his voice actor (Ray Liotta) wanted more money from Rockstar, so it didn't happen. I really liked his voice actor.
Tommy parting ways with Ken is a very wise decision otherwise Tommy had to take care of him eventually. Tommy is always loyal to his friends and associates. He's my favorite gta protagonist for a reason.
G.T.A. Vice City is my all time favorite game. I just wish you had a jetpack & could swim. I live San Andreas Alot but I liked the Vice City story more, the whole mob thing, plus you could own business in Vice City.

Thid video just proves that tommy is one of the least insane GTA protagonists other than Niko, because he doesnt bother anybody and just mind about resting from crime. Tommy is also pretty loyal to people even though Lance and Sonny betrayed and tried to kill him.
Well I don't understand why some few people comment anything like "Tommy is more evil or psycho than CJ". Sure Tommy never remorse unlike CJ but he's also loyal to his allies same as CJ and Niko and importantly he has much less bodycount (Tommy only killed 11 hitmans in Liberty City and he only killed a lot of people in Vice City. While CJ killed a lot of people in most areas of California and Nevada , He also killed a ton of Forelli gang members in Liberty City St Mark Bistro mission) and his murders were slightly less brutal than CJ's murders in general. CJ is easily the most brutal GTA protagonist along with Toni and Trevor in my opinion.
Fun Fact: TheProfessional knows a majority of these facts about the inner workings of mobs because he himself has been in many mobs at once and has been on the run from these mobs in multiple states after being found out.
Truly Ken Rosenberg’s cocaine addiction would be a major liability for Tommy Vercetti and his gang. That he didn’t really wanted to kick Ken out of his life. Only his criminal syndicate. Let’s hope there’s some friendship that needs some reconnecting
R.I.P. Ray Liotta. A lot of people can argue that his best performance ever was "Goodfellas", but I sincerely believe Tommy's character is a winner by a significant margin. This is a masterpiece by all means.
As much as I would like to see Tommy and Ken reunite one more time and just see how happy they are to see each other, it's probably for the best they keep distance and don't talk. I know it's not really nice to say but Ken is literally better off with Tommy thinking he's dead or just out the mob stuff for good. Because if anyone who connected to that world or even a cop sees them interacting again, that immediately puts Ken's life in danger. He only panics when he's in danger. And what does he do when he panics? His coke addiction resurfaces. I'd really hate to see Ken dead from an OD. This is his one and probably only chance to have a normal life like he told Carl. Speaking of which, he better hope that if Salvatore comes after Carl, he'll be well protected. And I think he will. Because Carl has a great network of people to help him. Also he and Sweet are supremely against drugs, so there's little chance of Ken being exposed to that shit again.

Two notes: - Ken had been working with the Forellis for many years prior to VC. An official guide mentions he had been associated with them since 1978. (Further that he was born in 1953, this also proves he couldn't have been Tommy's lawyer in the Harwood Butcher Trial) - We actually know further about Tommy's fate. There was promo website made for VC called "Kent Paul's 80's Nostalgia Zone!" Sometime between the events of San Andreas in 1992 and 2002, Kent Paul developed a drug addiction. By 2002, he was in a halfway house and currently in an after care program. He started the website as part of his therapy. Anyway, in the social problems of the 80s, he mentions Tommy at the bottom. "(see, Tom, I didn't mention your name, nowhere. Maybe you won't get us killed now, okay?)" This confirms that Tommy is still alive in 2002 (aged 51) and still in charge of his Crime Family.
Since 1978? He was in prison in 1978. Tommy was in prison 15 years then released in 1986. That means he was imprisoned in 1971. He'd have been associated before that.
The question that bugs me is how did the Mafia forgive him? He is known to have sided with Tommy Vercetti, jumping ship from the Forellis. Sonny Forelli even threatens him (and his loved ones) during the endgame of Vice City. So he's a known enemy of the mob. However, once his partnership with Tommy ends, the mob (including the Forelli family) employs him in a fairly high position in their latest (and very lucrative) business venture.

Only to the Forellis, the Forellis are the weakest Family in LC by the Time SA happened after the death of Sonny Forelli, that's why Johnny Sindacco didn't even bother bringing a Forelli to his meeting with the Leones. 2. Salvatore Leone want to use him. He's the one suggesting it to Johnny Sindacco Salvatore is a slimy bastard that always tried to play cards that looks fair, when it actually isn't. Johnny Sindacco probably also thought that he could use Ken as a Pawn as well 3. He was only an associate for the Forellis, and the guy who run the Forellis after Sonny died doesn't give a rat's ass about Ken due to their weak oosition
The mob is actually several families operating independently. One family doesn’t necessarily care what another family thinks about a certain third party like Ken. Ken wasn’t an enemy of the entire mob. Ken was only a contact of the Forellis. He’s not a family member and never could have been since he isn’t Italian. Sonny threatening him doesn’t mean anything either, since Sonny was dead shortly thereafter. While it’s true the remaining Forellis may not have been too fond of him, their position was so weak after losing Sonny that they not only couldn’t have made a move against Ken even if they wanted to, but he also wouldn’t have been a high priority target for them. They would have held Tommy accountable for what happened, but Tommy was untouchable, and also they probably had to have realized it was Sonny’s own fault that he got pasted all over Florida. Also, the Forellis had no direct say whatsoever in the hiring of Ken. They were so weak that they didn’t even get any input.
It is that because Ray didn’t appear in SA, that R* thought of such a lore that Tommy sends him away from VC, where the mafia doesn’t have any involvement, so that they can’t find him, but over the time, Tommy realised he’s much better off without him, plus Ken returning to VC was Mission Impossible at this point.

Im saying that Sonny would not send his own guys because in the event that Tommy survived, he would recognize that it was Sonny's men and would figure out Sonny sent them and broke the Omerta, which would have put Sonny in a very bad situation. Even though Sonny is the mob boss, there are things that even a mob boss cannot do otherwise risking their entire organization and the loyalty of the gang. One of those thing he can't do is killing a main man in the family for no good reason. Doing so risks the gang abandoning or even killing the mob boss because the mob boss is just killing his men because he didn't like them, meaning they could all be a potential target.

Toni Cipriani was in GTA 3 for a few missions, Vic Vance dies at the beginning of Vice City, and Johnny and Luis appeared in GTA 4 a few times during the main story.
You know maybe gta 6 can be about a person in Tommy’s gang and he rises through the ranks and to make the story sad they can say that he died and the player becomes the boss of Tommy’s gang.
If GTA 6 releases next year and is based of next year, Tommy would either be 71 or 72 years old, but since Ray Liotta and Rockstar don't get along, I doubt Tommy would return.
It is hard to imagine that Ken was kicked out. That was one of the happiest endings ever ! Truly ! Every time I finish the game after replaying it , I cry at that scene saying " and they lived happily ever after ".
I always thought Ken leaves Vice City because had a fight with Tommy and offended him or something. Ray Lolita wasn't very happy working on Rockstar when they came to his house and got underpaid. And Ray got very furious about that later when he heard that Vice City become a success and tells Rockstar that he deserves to be more paid. and ended up having his character dead for saying that

There's something about the voice acting that made Ken funny and endearing to me. Maybe it was all the time we had to protect him throughout the 2 games.
I like how In depth the writers and Ken's actor were to show the difference between his sober and doped up personality. When he's sober he's lethargic and pessimistic. When he's on coke he's always manic and just perpetually frightened lol.
The fact that with a character like Ken, it would be common for a Mob boss like Tommy to whack him for his organization to be completely safe. Yet, Tommy didn’t, so it just goes to show how much he is honoring their friendship and is willing to risk Ken being alive, even when Ken is working for Salvatore, who could use Ken against Tommy.

The cool thing about this video is that it's also a hidden lore on Johnny Sindacco as well, since all of his appearances were shown here as well. I love Johnny. My theory is that he ended up in this kind of business because of the family and his father, but I can feel he's truly a good guy at heart. So, my unpopular opinion is that, if I could spend some time with a GTA character, it would be him. I would hug him and advise he doesn't need to follow this path. I admire his courage of going alone to make the proposal to Salvatore, even though he's shitting on his pants as we all would, and how much he naively wanted to unite the families, just to follow his dad's desire. He kept that promise till the end. Johnny was never able to live his own life. He's charismatic, has a soothing voice and he's good at persuasion, even though the deal is ridiculous. He maintains his calm and he never gives me the sense he's gonna backstab me ever. Also, he is friendly and does a warm greeting to Ken... Outgoing even when he's recovering from a coma. CJ should've explained to Ken what he did and that he could deal with the Sindacco by himself, since he was well received and it's not like they're the Forellis or the Leones. That fuck up could've resulted in Ken's death and he would save Johnny as well, since he did a horrible thing with him. That would be something. I don't know if he thought he could apologize, but his greeting was kinda threatening and Johnny was still fragile. He's a victim in all of this. Even though I feel bad for his death at such a young age, I think that was the his best way of go... A quick heart attack. We all know how the mafia treats the ones they kill! At the end, a cool character who's important as hell to the Las Venturas storyline. Probably has a lot of depth hidden we'll never find out. He definitely deserves some love!

The ending in Vice City is sad in and on itself, as we see Ken's addiction get the better of him and alone trapped in a mob war for control of a casino. Kent Paul is the only Vice City character to be his only friend left until a fateful meeting with CJ.

Ken Rosenberg is a best played character by William Fichtner. I had no idea that Ken Rosenberg and Sandman(Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3) were the same voice because Rosenberg sounds panicked and Sandman as a hardcore spec ops soldier. Which proves that Fichtner has some good voice acting skills.

Such a shame and a missed opportunity for Rockstar games to not restore all the cut content in the definitive edition, that would have made the definitive edition a mix between a nostalgia and a new experience for new and old players and it probably would have been a good reason to buy it again even if it was bugged as hell.

I saw the notification and I came here very quick! I really loved Tommy and Ken's relationship in Vice City. It was so sweet and wholesome. I feel bad for Rosenberg by the time the events of San Andreas began.
Fun fact: Tommy was originally supposed to talk to Ken during The Introduction, but his voice actor (Ray Liotta) wanted more money from Rockstar, so it didn't happen. I really liked his voice actor.
Tommy parting ways with Ken is a very wise decision otherwise Tommy had to take care of him eventually. Tommy is always loyal to his friends and associates. He's my favorite gta protagonist for a reason.

Well I don't understand why some few people comment anything like "Tommy is more evil or psycho than CJ". Sure Tommy never remorse unlike CJ but he's also loyal to his allies same as CJ and Niko and importantly he has much less bodycount (Tommy only killed 11 hitmans in Liberty City and he only killed a lot of people in Vice City. While CJ killed a lot of people in most areas of California and Nevada , He also killed a ton of Forelli gang members in Liberty City St Mark Bistro mission) and his murders were slightly less brutal than CJ's murders in general. CJ is easily the most brutal GTA protagonist along with Toni and Trevor in my opinion.

As much as I would like to see Tommy and Ken reunite one more time and just see how happy they are to see each other, it's probably for the best they keep distance and don't talk. I know it's not really nice to say but Ken is literally better off with Tommy thinking he's dead or just out the mob stuff for good. Because if anyone who connected to that world or even a cop sees them interacting again, that immediately puts Ken's life in danger. He only panics when he's in danger. And what does he do when he panics? His coke addiction resurfaces. I'd really hate to see Ken dead from an OD. This is his one and probably only chance to have a normal life like he told Carl. Speaking of which, he better hope that if Salvatore comes after Carl, he'll be well protected. And I think he will. Because Carl has a great network of people to help him. - Ken had been working with the Forellis for many years prior to VC. An official guide mentions he had been associated with them since 1978. (Further that he was born in 1953, this also proves he couldn't have been Tommy's lawyer in the Harwood Butcher Trial)
- We actually know further about Tommy's fate. There was promo website made for VC called "Kent Paul's 80's Nostalgia Zone!" Sometime between the events of San Andreas in 1992 and 2002, Kent Paul developed a drug addiction. By 2002, he was in a halfway house and currently in an after care program. He started the website as part of his therapy.
Anyway, in the social problems of the 80s, he mentions Tommy at the bottom. "(see, Tom, I didn't mention your name, nowhere. Maybe you won't get us killed now, okay?)"
This confirms that Tommy is still alive in 2002 (aged 51) and still in charge of his Crime Family.
Since 1978? He was in prison in 1978. Tommy was in prison 15 years then released in 1986. That means he was imprisoned in 1971. He'd have been associated before that.

The question that bugs me is how did the Mafia forgive him? He is known to have sided with Tommy Vercetti, jumping ship from the Forellis. Sonny Forelli even threatens him (and his loved ones) during the endgame of Vice City. So he's a known enemy of the mob. However, once his partnership with Tommy ends, the mob (including the Forelli family) employs him in a fairly high position in their latest (and very lucrative) business venture.

Salvatore is a slimy bastard that always tried to play cards that looks fair, when it actually isn't. Johnny Sindacco probably also thought that he could use Ken as a Pawn as well
3. He was only an associate for the Forellis, and the guy who run the Forellis after Sonny died doesn't give a rat's ass about Ken due to their weak oosition

The mob is actually several families operating independently. One family doesn’t necessarily care what another family thinks about a certain third party like Ken. Ken wasn’t an enemy of the entire mob.
Ken was only a contact of the Forellis. He’s not a family member and never could have been since he isn’t Italian. Sonny threatening him doesn’t mean anything either, since Sonny was dead shortly thereafter. While it’s true the remaining Forellis may not have been too fond of him, their position was so weak after losing Sonny that they not only couldn’t have made a move against Ken even if they wanted to, but he also wouldn’t have been a high priority target for them. They would have held Tommy accountable for what happened, but Tommy was untouchable, and also they probably had to have realized it was Sonny’s own fault that he got pasted all over Florida.
Also, the Forellis had no direct say whatsoever in the hiring of Ken. They were so weak that they didn’t even get any input.

Pro, I think when Ken meant about family he meant his parents and possible siblings.
It is that because Ray didn’t appear in SA, that R* thought of such a lore that Tommy sends him away from VC, where the mafia doesn’t have any involvement, so that they can’t find him, but over the time, Tommy realised he’s much better off without him, plus Ken returning to VC was Mission Impossible at this point.

Im saying that Sonny would not send his own guys because in the event that Tommy survived, he would recognize that it was Sonny's men and would figure out Sonny sent them and broke the Omerta, which would have put Sonny in a very bad situation. Even though Sonny is the mob boss, there are things that even a mob boss cannot do otherwise risking their entire organization and the loyalty of the gang. One of those thing he can't do is killing a main man in the family for no good reason. Doing so risks the gang abandoning or even killing the mob boss because the mob boss is just killing his men because he didn't like them, meaning they could all be a potential target.

Toni Cipriani was in GTA 3 for a few missions, Vic Vance dies at the beginning of Vice City, and Johnny and Luis appeared in GTA 4 a few times during the main story.

The cool thing about this video is that it's also a hidden lore on Johnny Sindacco as well, since all of his appearances were shown here as well.
I love Johnny. My theory is that he ended up in this kind of business because of the family and his father, but I can feel he's truly a good guy at heart. So, my unpopular opinion is that, if I could spend some time with a GTA character, it would be him. I would hug him and advise he doesn't need to follow this path. I admire his courage of going alone to make the proposal to Salvatore, even though he's shitting on his pants as we all would, and how much he naively wanted to unite the families, just to follow his dad's desire. He kept that promise till the end.
Johnny was never able to live his own life. He's charismatic, has a soothing voice and he's good at persuasion, even though the deal is ridiculous. He maintains his calm and he never gives me the sense he's gonna backstab me ever. Also, he is friendly and does a warm greeting to Ken... Outgoing even when he's recovering from a coma.
CJ should've explained to Ken what he did and that he could deal with the Sindacco by himself, since he was well received and it's not like they're the Forellis or the Leones. That fuck up could've resulted in Ken's death and he would save Johnny as well, since he did a horrible thing with him. That would be something. I don't know if he thought he could apologize, but his greeting was kinda threatening and Johnny was still fragile.
He's a victim in all of this. Even though I feel bad for his death at such a young age, I think that was the his best way of go... A quick heart attack. We all know how the mafia treats the ones they kill!
At the end, a cool character who's important as hell to the Las Venturas storyline. Probably has a lot of depth hidden we'll never find out. He definitely deserves some love!

The voice actor for Ken Rosenberg was probably the best in all the GTA games. Guy was the best character.
