Great video, but you had me worried with no additional support other than the Jack. Thanks and regards from the UK. …….

Pro-tip, next oil change spray your lower aluminum cover down with Eagle One aluminum and mag wheel cleaner AKA phosphoric acid. It will brighten it right up. The next time I do mine I'll also put a couple applications of ceramic on mine to protect it from future oxidation. I know no one can see it but I try hard to keep every inch of my 4C spotless and you seem like the type that would agree.

You did good. The 4C will hold more value in the long run. The Coupes especially since they have been discontinued already. Also they are around 1400 4C's in the USA, very low numbers

Where did you find the number for 1400 4C's in the US? Does that include both coupe and spider??? Thats a crazy low number if true and good for long term value. IMO

@@Fender18241 I'm not sure on the exact number in the US myself but 2500 world wide is what I have read and that number itself is very low. Well under 1,000 were produced each year. I am investing in a 4C myself for this very reason. Everything in life is a gamble. I could invest $44K in a stock and gain or lose but what fun is owning a stock? I already have plenty of those and Covid-19 has hit them hard and I can't go out to my garage and admire them or drive them. In today's economy any stock has a better chance of dropping to zero and than an Alfa Romeo 4C. :)

Congrats on the 4C. I enjoyed the detailed overview of the oil change and other mentions about the car. I just picked up 2017 White Coupe with 600 Miles. Can't wait for the warmer weather here in PA to get it on the road. Car is perfect, but making a simple modifications for handling by swapping out the spacers on front setup.

4gosselin thanks for the kind words. Picking one up pre-owned is especially gratifying IMO. It definitely has a blue collar Italian hot-rod ethos.

Yes very good! Just a doubt. When You have point up the car with the crick, is there a risk for the chassis to be broken?? In italy We have to high this car in the same times in the 4 points specified in the car book. I have just bought one first serie black!

As long as you lift on the flat spots underneath, you should be good. The chassis, is very strong. I really enjoy this car, have fun with your black beauty. Cheers!

How are is it performing in AutoX with the car?

Getting close to my first oil change after purchasing an 84 mile 2018 spider. I had read that oil capacity was 7 quarts, but it’s actually 6 qts? Also read it should use 0w40 meeting the new Chrysler spec. Wondering why you chose 0w30. Appreciate the thorough overview here. Judging from your music selection we are about the same age. Any other loose hardware I should be looking for??? Also read that at 1500 miles, they recommend a dealer-performed first service to inspect the carbon tub. Any notes on that topic? Thanks for posting; happy motoring!

Todd Dennehy 6 qts, yes. I never did the service although mine had 4500 miles on it. Have fun!

Did you do the bolt tightening yet?

Just wondering, did this car ever have the bolt retorquing as specified by alfa after the first year,my dealer wants 1300.00 just for this service even though I only have 800 miles on the 4c spyder

wayne miller to my knowledge no. I did have my car serviced for AC (seal), but I will inquire about the bolt torque. I spoke to a salesperson that represents Alfa at a dealer in Appleton WI, and he said that they virtually tear the car down and put it back together. I’m like huh?

There is nothing Ford about that Alfa Romeo . I’d say more like Ferrari F40 - ish...

I referenced Ford GT in terms of mid-engine, CF tub, turbo and twin clutch for 10% of the cost ($46k vs $450K).

S Schroeder Yeah but that’s like saying a Timex is the same as a Rolex because they have numbers, and tell time. The Alfa of course is the Rolex. You have to consider all the information. It’s hand built, Racing pedigree, from an elite automaker... Ford is better than them all as a business... not automaker.... Too often the new generation thinks that any car with lets say 400HP is equal to any car with 400HP..Like McDonald burgees are equals to Ruth Chris burgers because they both use beef & cheese, There is a difference. Engineering between inch auto manufacturers are different... I think Alfa Romeo surprises many owners as to just how exotic their builds are... Once you get in and really take a look, you’ll see that its NOT just looking exotic. So... ... Very nice car... 😊
