If you put a collar and cowbell on Eeyore, Gidget will quickly learn to follow the sound. An old leather rein with a (break-away) cotton shoe lace to tie it safely around Eeyore’s neck.

Yes! I did the same with my blind dog. Both me and my other dog wore bells. I'd also snap my fingers. My other dog also learned to help him 'see' and help him around. Animals continue to amaze me 🥰

The horse is learning to speak donkey. So cute breaking in that door and it sounds like 2 donkeys. 😍
Besides bringing rehab emotionally...these two are gorgeously healthy looking...brava!

I had a 16 year old blind black lab. 2 golden puppies found in the woods became his eyes and helped him a very long time to get around the yard and house. They are amazing!!

Animals are like family to us. It's so heartbreaking when they get sick and there's nothing that we can do to help them but grieve. And these two are the sweetest thing I've ever seen. It gave me tears of sadness but yet tears of joy to see them just have donkey horsey love. How sweet these babies are. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰

Donkeys are the best version of a Nurse in a hospital ♥️
Donkeys are super protective of the animals and humans around them. It’s a big part of the reason they sometimes show a lot of aggression. I love donkeys.
They are the sweetest! Nobody should ever doubt any animal’s capacity to feel love, loss, and be needed.

Find a farm rescue or animal sanctuary near you. We have several in N.C. and one rescues farm animals, but also geckos, rabbits, chickens, etc.

It's a lesson for us, too. Heartbreak, sadness and other feelings can be replaced with joy, love, happiness if we try.

Thank you for rescuing them I'm so sorry for your watches for the ones that sadly passed away from cancer that is heartbreaking for all of you I'm so glad that your miniature donkey and your pony became best friends so they could heal each other's hearts and I think it's a heartwarming that the donkey helps the pony get around that's wonderful they have a wonderful friendship and I think humans should learn a lot from them and thank you for loving them they're both adorable and you're a wonderful person
Can I just say “Thank you!” to the rescuer for rescuing these beautiful animals and bringing them together when things may have felt hopeless! And therefore you helped relieve them (and you) of their newest pain! And another thank you for sharing the story! Awesome video!

In th situation of loss, the one that is left needs something to remind them of what they lost and for both of them, they needed each other so it was perfect....

I'm obsessed with miniature donkeys. I would visit a farm that had a few, and I would sit outside their pen just talking to them. In time, they knew who I was and would come running over when I came. The pen was open enough on 3 sides, so they could easily come over to me. They loved being scratched and spoken to. Those sweet faces, long eye lashes, and happy "he haws" when they saw me made my day.
So beautiful and heartwarming. From loss to a new friendship.
Bloody cancer, I hope they will soon find the ultimate cure for animals and humans.

I have seen so many amazing stories about donkey’s - including this one! They have done so much for humanity, they are smart AND tough as nails! Watching them defend herd’s from dangerous predators, as well as seeing them PLAY and express great JOY. If I ever have the opportunity to live in the country… first on my list for a refuge is some donkey’s 😊.

I remember the seeing eye zebras in Thornton, Co. back in the 90's. They would guide a blind mare(horse) to the hayrack and then too the water trough. They would push the other horses out of the way so the mare could eat and drink.
So precious.
Truly a beautiful story, it is amazing how we find and fit a nitch that needs to be filled where there was a void. They helped each other out with no conditions. A sweet story. ❤️
