    My husband absolutely loves u! We are in a old Econoline but a goodie at a steal. U literally don't make us feel like crap bcuz u don't always try to convince of the most expensive brand. You're reviews ,to me, are always polite and fairly unbiased in the pro/con area. We r working class and we listen to u every week for months. Just recently I've paid more attention to each podcast. So now he's watching your channel with me. Thanks!

    Thanks so much Jeff for making this video, it really helps, I just purchased this Setpower fridge-31 qt. for 170.10 off the Walmart website on 12/7/2023 before I truly needed it so I could get things figured out ahead of time, your video was so, so needed…!!!

    My rule of thumbs with this unit has been to count on 10 minutes of max runtime every hour. That covers my typical usage (items already cooled, inside of a hot car, small additional 12v fan to blow hot air away from the vent.) With max being a 60Wh draw, that means I'm pulling 10Wh an hour or 240Wh a day from my 1800Wh battery unit. I generate ~500Wh a day from my solar panels (200w) so that leaves me roughly 360Wh a day without going into a power deficit.
    With my laptop running ~10 hours a day (I write), my hotpot running 2 hours a day, and the additional electronics I use, I have enough power to run normally for about 6 days before I need to recharge the unit from my car. (Converted Prius stealth camper)

    Great review! I bought the Iceco JP30 because it has the Danfoss compressor. I paid a lot more and did a double take when I saw yours. They’re almost identical.
    Something you may know but I feel is important to mention. If you take out the basket and fill it with veggies, the parts touching the fridge freeze.
    Mine came with an insulated bag but it was a pain in the butt so I threw it out. They use power when off because the light is on all the time. My light is blue and useless!
    I loved the part about you need warm weather to rest it lol. Mine has been off all month, I use it to keep my food from freezing while I’m off working haha

      Yes, I should have talked more about how these work like old-school freezers - the walls are the coldest part. And when it shows the temperature, that's the temp of the wall - the food will take a while to reach that. Thanks for watching!

    Hello thank you for the video. It was much needed.
    I don't have an manual for my fridge. It didn't come with the manual. Can you please tell me what degrees to leave the fridge on for and what degrees for the freezer as well...
    Also, can you tell me if it needs to be plugged in full time or partial.... how long can it hold without being plugged in too...
    And, do you know where to go to look for the actual manual....
    😊😅

    Hello. Nice review. How loud is the compressor and fan?

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not bad. You can hear if it’s totally silent in your rig, but it doesn’t wake me up and I’m a light sleeper. Since the review, I’ve had it running constantly and it’s going strong.

    i bought an AJ40 and the temp fluctuates quite a bit.
    ill set it at 37f, and it will go between around 28 and 42.
    but it's second hand and not a scratch on it, and cost me $100 lol so im ok with it.
    im thinking the fact that shipping took 4 days to reach me, and the idiots at fedex transported it upside down, even though it had big arrows and stuff on the box indicating which way it should be oriented, might just have something to do with it's large range.
    i did wait about a week before i plugged it in just to be safe, but who knows.
    at first the range was really wide, then for maybe a week i was able to get it to stay between 32.8 and 39.6 (i was pretty happy with this), then it switched back to this wide range and i havent been able to narrow it down again. it sucks, but it is what it is, and like i said, it only cost me $100, well, $108.19 with tax
    also, i have been running it on eco, which could definitely be part of the reason it has such a wide range. but i would expect the temp to go up a bit out of what would be considered a normal range, but not so far below it. i mean, it's going about 9-10 degrees below what i have it set at, and it does that every time it kicks on.
    o, and i tested mine with digital, inferred, and an analog thermometer (i wanted to be sure lol) and got the same basic readings on all of them. and this was after adjusting the temperature offset to match as closely as possible
    have you tested the range of yours on both eco and max? have you seen a big difference in the temperature fluctuation between the 2 modes?
    sorry for the long comment, but you are the only other person that i have found that has actually tested one of these and looked at the numbers instead of just plugging it in and saying "yay! it keeps things cold" or "i can run it for ____ hours on my jackery!" or "it's good because it fits behind my seat".
    i hate those reviews soooo much! lol i like facts and being able to compare my info vs the info of other people.

      Yep, if you need a highly accurate fridge for keeping vaccines or something, this isn’t it. Sounds like you got a great deal!

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  ปีที่แล้ว

      As for eco/max, on the hottest days, max keeps the temps better. Max makes the compressor run faster, which really helps if it’s working hard. On a day where it’s 70°, I don’t notice much difference.

      @PKAdventures ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffwagg ya, I just want it to stay in a good range for fish and meat that I catch and hunt without going back and forth between freezing and thawing lol. But I'll keep messing with it to see what I can get it to do. And ya, that price is what made me decide to switch from a cooler

    Hello. Thanks for the great review. How's the fridge holding up?

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Still my main fridge! Runs all the time. I had one experience where it started making weird noises one night, but I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it's been fine since. Nothing really to add to my review. FWIW, I never use the app in practice.

    Question, how is the Setpower AJ30 working after 2 years?

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Still going strong. It runs most of the year, no problems yet.

    I recently purchased the AJ30. After hooking it up to my Electric Generators it will shut off once it gets to temp then the Electric Generator will shut off. How to I get it too keep running?

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the problem is that your generator is detecting that it no longer has a draw, and shut down. Plug in a light bulb or something or see if it has a standby mode.

    Do they have a fan to cool off the condenser, or jist dissipates the heat?

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m not really sure of the difference. I can say now that the fridge has been going strong since I made this video.

    Does the red cap need to come off to use in a 12v power source

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, it just plugs right into a normal automotive 12v socket.

    Do you happen to know thr decibel level when the compressor is on and the fridge is in eco mode?

    • @jeffwagg
      @jeffwagg  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t know the exact number, but it’s quiet enough that I don’t even hear it if I have a fan running, which I usually do. It’s very quiet.

      That’s the low voltage warning. Check your battery and wiring. Small wires can cause this.
