I think you're doing a hell of a job with the reviews. Keep up the good work.

Great review, simple to the point. I only have one request could you mute the noise of the machines when you run them. All the best with your channel.

Thank you for the review. It is always nice, when people review stuff, you may want to buy. Regarding the ratchet nut: I think you are supposed to tighten the the ratchet nut with your fingers. When it tightens, then you use the wrench..

Thank you, just ordered this router.
But I have to agree, as a stand alone router probably not worth it. But I have most other Festool products and the nice router table, so as a component to the Festool system, it can't be beat. IMO
I've spend a lot on their tools, but they are amazing, well worth the cost of admission. I've have most other brands, Dewalt etc.. also not cheap, but I'd recommend if you are happy with those other products, do not try Festool products, you will be willing to sell your kidney for their stuff, it's that good. But like I said, it all works as a system, that's really the catch. The tool ends up being to cheaper part, there are a ton of accessories you will need to buy to make full use of their products.... they get you good.

Tend to agree... My QF1400 template bushing holder is off center by a min of 3/64". The collet is not centered with the bushing with no easy adjustment there also. Really disappointing for the all the money!

I just got the Festool OF1400 on Saturday (May 11) and returned it by Monday. The guide bushing adapter plate that snaps into the router base has a good amount of play in it. Even if I had shimmed it, which is ridiculous considering it was $654 after tax, there was no way to make sure it was centered, making it kind of useless for dovetail jigs and template routing. Were you able to center yours? I'm not opposed to getting another one, but the other one my dealer had in stock had the same issue. That issue is also fairly well documented on the Festool forums - both the off-center guide bushing and lack of adjustability, and the side-to-side play with the guide bushing adapter.
