నేను ఇప్పటి వరకూ డి.టి.నాయక్ గారితో సహా ఒక 10 మంది ఐ.పి.ఎస్.లు., డి.ఎస్.పి.లు లేదా ఇన్స్పెక్టర్స్ యొక్క ఇంటర్వూస్ ఈ చాన్నల్ లో చూసాను. కానీ సురేంద్ర బాబు గారి ఇంటర్వ్యూ వాస్తవాలకి చాలా దగ్గరగా వుంది. పోలీస్ హ్యూమన్ టచ్ తో పని చేయాలని సురేంద్ర గారు చెప్పిన విధానం నాకు బాగా నచ్చింది. అందరు ఐ.పి.ఎస్. లు ఇదే తరహాలొ ఆలోచించి పని చెస్తె ప్రజల జీవితాలు బాగు పడతాయి కదా.

నేను 1999 /2000 లో DSP Probationer గా వున్నప్పుడు సురేంద్ర బాబు Sir SP రంగా రెడ్డి జిల్లా గా వున్నప్పుడు, ఆయన దగ్గర Trainee గా చేశాను.
ఇప్పటికీ I feel proud about it.

Iam from vijayawada. When he was transferred because of political reasons from vijayawada so many people especially women voluntarily did dharna that "we want Surendra Babu" I was in the first line.
A humane and tough police officer of extraordinary integrity and honesty....I see him as another face of celebrated and legendary police officer of national stature...JF Rebeiro....
when he was transferred from vijayawada back those days, people protested on roads in big numbers in support of the IPS officer.

This celebrated IPS officer has been a synonym to all good virtues required of all - India Service officer a role model that he is to the new entrants to the All India Services, Surendra Babu Garu is a household name in Vijayawada city as he had endeared himself to the common people during his brief tenure as the City's commissioner of police that people from all walks of life in VJA City took to the streets demanding his continuance as the City's Police Chief when the then Govt transferred him, is an ample testimony to his excellent service. One sees such scenes only in movie's. The people of VJA still fondly remember him even after twenty years of his transfer. That speaks volumes of his greatness.
The society at ok large the services of such dedicated and good -hearted officers and let us hope that the Govt would utilize the rich experience of such upright officers for the good of it. I sincerely wish him all the best in future endeavours.
