@@marcosandrade22-o9v Sadly, we Americans are used to *"expensive gasoline garbage".* I'd buy a turbo diesel powered Toyota Land Cruiser if it was available here in the USA.
I'm sorry but how can a full-time motoring journalist get the specs of a car he is reviewing so wrong? Was there a press release you missed out on mate??? Please do some reading and research before publishing a review. Sounds like you've rested on your laurels of past reviews of the 200 Series... they're so similar anyway, aren't they? The suspension is not pneumatic (air), it is a hydraulic (oil) system. As for your comments that it can't be lifted easily or "tweaked and tuned" as you so eliquently put it, did you miss the fact that it's only a flick of a lever and it raises 4" from it's lowest setting? The shock dampening is also adjusted by a lever next to the height control between three different settings??? Show me a set of ARB BP-51's, Kings, or Fox shocks you can "tweak and tune" from inside the car and I'll show you my LX570 that goes off-road comfortably and fits in sub 2 meter parking garages during the week. As for being adventurous with what goes on the tow ball, there is a reason these things are rated to tow 3.85t in the states. The hydraulic system is more than capable of carrying maximum legal weights with nothing more than a height adjustment to return the car to it's correct trim. No matter what gets dropped on there. After years of well set up 4WD's with coils and airbags, owning the LX (and previously a Grand Cherokee with air suspension) the ability to use your car comfortably for the 95% of the time you spend on bitumen is great. My previous cars were all set-up for touring and towing but they just rode too firm un-laden. It really is like having the best of both worlds with these systems. As for needing a diesel to go into the outback, yes, it's a massive leap in range (even with the reduced capacity) when towing. But! There is absolutely no reason a petrol powered car can't do it. It's such a miserable mind set Australians have (created by journalists and aftermarket mobs) that diesel is the only way to go. They can be the most precious things with fuel quality and servicing. Unlike the petrol variants... Just my two cents...
So basically this is a LC200 with more weight, less range, more stuff that can break, less modifying options for 50% extra dosh? Can't imagine why people would still want the 200. 🤔
Toyota should have been doing much more better on horsepower and fuel efficiency in all Toyota engines its a totally disgrace for what you're paying around the globe for Toyota vehicles its time we all get more horsepower in all Toyota engines both gasoline and diesels or very soon in mid 2019&2020 Toyota dealers and dealerships sales will go down very disgraceful with their volumes of sales drop very rapidly.
I take my LX570 off-road all the time! It's a LandCruiser underneath after all. It's just far nicer than a Sahara which feels like a Lada Niva after owning the LX
AUT042 I’m glad that you do, and it is an undeniably nice chariot coming from myself who drives a mine spec Hilux work vehicle as his daily, I have to be the devil’s advocate and ask however what you define as ‘off road’? Please don’t misunderstand, I’m not trying to burst anyone’s bubble as so often is the case in YT comment sections, and your Lexus is a good and capable vehicle, just curious. 👍
Reviewing a 140K vehicle in 360p. Nice work.
Well I guess after they have spent $140K on that car, they only have enough money left to purchase a 360p camera to shoot this video.
Sorry mate, high res version available here: www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/road-tests/2018-lexus-lx450d-first-drive-4x4-review
JeZz4k HD fuck me dead mate, do you complain about the flavour of ice cream you get given too?
the audio is spot on though. good set of headphones and its great.
360P in 2018? Kidding me?

Nice thanks mate
I call it damn unforgivable that our North American market version of the Lexus LX450 was never available with a diesel engine.
America sucks! Your cars are just expensive gasoline garbages.

@@jasoncarpp7742 I spoke in a comical way. There are many good American cars. The only problem is the uneconomical engines.
@@marcosandrade22-o9v I figured you were. I've owned at least one American car, and it was more reliable than they were ever given credit for.
450 or 570 ?????????
Which one r u driving ?? Seems like 570
Oh yes please
Might be time to trade the LX470 in!

AUT042 4x4 australia video reviews are fucking atrocious. They either need to stop or really have total refresh in hosts, writers and producers.
I want to see this review but refuse to watch it in such low quality resolution guys- what’s the go?
Sorry wrong file uploaded, high res version available here: www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/road-tests/2018-lexus-lx450d-first-drive-4x4-review
Needs Toyo at3 tires like my 11
Finally a diesel from lc200 yeh
Mate, 360p just won't cut it for this review :(
Engine cover is ugly not cool as petrol version ... btw how weight is this LX diesel version ?
Couldn't they increase the GVM?
Ian Parsons it’s already a pretty heavy car they legally have to keep the gross train weight under 5 tonnes
4wd some 5 tonnes!?
You could throw a freight train on the back of this LX450D and it still wouldn’t make 5 tonnes! Lol
GVM upgrade kits available for coils not for air.
Ok, that makes sense
Hydraulic suspension I think
Is just me or do the seats he is sitting look small?
The seats are normal. He ate all the pies, thats why there was no budget left to upload in anything else than 360p.
اللون الكحلي رائع

So they replaced the reliable petrol v8 with the notoriously unreliable diesel v8 well done.
the beerhunter V8 5.7 L petrol still available

Video made with a calculator.
Totally damn sure the car is useless, and waste of money, forget offroad it can't even pay for money that has gone in it.
who goes off-road in a lexus?
Brendan Toohey motoring journalists who don’t give a shit if they damage it, clearly.
Russians ;) search youtube if you want to see some :P

Lexus should axe this LX series. Toyota LandCruiser is already more than enough. You are not driving an SUV for posh purpose.
i Love it . if it was this or a range rover this gets my money reliability and function over form .
you're not.
I don't fucking mind a nice vehicle LOL
Might as well shutdown this channel. Your reviews are half baked. Videos resolution is shit 360p. Here only to make quick buck.
