Congrats! Whats impressive to me is that the car is so stable at 150+...just chilling with one hand on the wheel while filming with the other...I think both cars look fantastic brother.
Other than the drag pack, is there any additional weight reduction? Drag brakes, k member, rear seat delete, lightweight battery? I’m thinking the G3R with some weight reduction (not going full tin can) can dip into the 3s 60-130mph on the street
Stock everything. I just have rear seats out thats it. Hopefully start removing more weight eventually. But i like the heated cooled seats and big brakes 🤷🏼♂️
@@Billyd_coyote I hear you on the heated and cooled seats. My Whipple 19’ was a base model but now my 23’ that’s still NA and slow has them and they’re awesome. I suggest Baer drag brakes all around. I dropped about 2 to 3 tenths on that alone. Unless it’s your daily, go for it!
Am I gonna have to mess with the fuel pump to have reliable power with the g3r? And also what spark plugs you recommend and anything done to suspension? I’m new to this whole boost thing
How’s the 10r holding up I’m building a 21 right now not sure if I’m going to want to send it out to be built it will make max 950whp on a ess g3x setup I would like to take that money and go straight for beefy half shafts but if I need to build the 10r first I will
I’m actually disappointed he kept up with your car like that considering his car is probably a tad heavier than yours because of the turbo kit. I really wanted you to gap him so kind of not satisfied with the ESS here. ( Never mind I didn’t notice he had a built trans )
He is heavier by 100lbs. We weighed them together haha but the tq from the turbos makes the weight difference very minimal. The built trans makes all the difference
@@a.wheeler7731tuner may not have torque reduction on a built trans whereas they leave it behind on a stock trans, which limits how hard you’re jumping into the next gear
Speed means nothing, factors that matter when it comes to transmissions living are vehicle weight, TQ number, and is the car hooking hard or does it have a little slip.
Not that I know for sure...but I would think a centri car that rolled most of the time would live substantially longer than say a pds at a drag strip. Torque off the hit is a killer.
@@ClintG-rh6khthere’s a reason you see turbo cars and Whipple cars blowing through transmissions. It’s as you said. Centri is a smooth linear shot of power. Torque numbers never really wow you. They’re fast and can run with anything but don’t hit you with that “holy shit this is rowdy” feeling like a Whipple or turbos of equal PSI will.

ESS FTW..stock motor & stock 10r80… cheaper and faster than twins 😄
Hell yeah bro, putting in the work!!! ESS FTW!
ESS putting in that work 😮🛩️
That G3R is badass
very nice video man, one question, I'm about to put the Ess G3R on my Mustang, which pulley do you recommend,?thank you
I appreciate it! And depends. What is your goal? You have a fuel system? Ive been as low as 90mm so far on mine on pump e85.
@@Billyd_coyote not problem man thanks for answering basically my car is stock
@@rlstang7276 if your staying pump gas just the 120mm pulley at most for now until you do a fuel system to run e85
@@Billyd_coyote ok thank you very much man for the tips
You and chris gotta come out to dallas for TX2K24.

Hey Billy do you have spring spacers to fit the 315’s with the bmr drag springs or no?
coyotes boosted however you want a total badasses
Is it just assumed that we go on 2 and the 3 is purely ceremonial.
Nice
if the mustang used rolling anti lag your done, he wasnt brake boosting either
100mm 10 rib pulley or 6. Rib?

Theoretically how fast could you go (mph not time) without hurting ur trans?
