  • this block connector was burnt out. I did push together and clean the pins on both sides and got it working again. I added some extra wire the same size to help bypass the connector.
there is plenty of ways to do this I just used the most simplest way for what I had on had on hand
I tested the fan it was working when I powered it with 12v. I also tested the heater resistor wiring

After your repair did you notice any warmth from the cables? I used some connectors and can feel some warmth, not hot though.

My 308 2019 1.5 hdi the heaters blow cold if i put to 20,21,22,23c ect but if i put high like 24 or higher i get some heat do you think this could be the problem?
I am sure it was fine before cambelt and pump change 🤔 i also get a droaning noise once my engine is abit warm at idle but when cold i have no noise so something that changes with heat.
Didnt get this either before the belt and pump change and the pump has been changed twice which no change 😖

Hi I'd say it needs bleeding there is a small cap at the back of the engine on the heater core pipes it's like a valve cap on a tyre . Undo it till coolant is coming out

Yes I have done this, someone told me earlier that if heater is on 22 or 22c ect heat won't come out and his is the same but I find that bizzare how that's normal I shouldn't have to have it on 24 or 25 and so on just to get heat surely 🤔🤣 @@murphyslaw2020

@Antsummerfield83 your getting the pre heater heat I'd say that the little bit of heat your getting maybe.
Not the same car but very similar setup might be worth a look you can see to pre heater etc

@@murphyslaw2020 thank you do you think this could be down to the matrix radiator core that needs replacing or electrics

@Antsummerfield83 if I remember correctly there could a bleed screw on the side of the engine on the thermostat might be worth a look

What gauge wire are you using? Need to have a look at mine.

What Was your fan doing ? I have one.. the fan comes on and off intermittently at any fan speed, so I assume it’s not a resistor.. so I assume it’s the fan itself or maybe this wiring going to it?

Hi I can't recall 100% if it was working or not. Have looked at the wiring its very easy to get at .let me know if it is that plug that's your problem.
I remember powering the fan and It ran then I followed the wiring back to this point in the video

@@murphyslaw2020 I checked that plug but it looks in perfect condition, where is the resistor on them?
