I am waiting for my additional RAM order for this laptop. Currently running 16 GB stock but will add another 16 GB. Hopefully, an additional RAM will do just fine. I don't have the funds to buy two new sticks. Hoping that it will work. Thanks for this guide!
I checked the specs on HP website yesterday, G6 can use 4, 8 and 16GB modules and you can mix them like 4+32 or 8+16. Mine used to have 8Gb from factory, now has 16+16. :)

Not sure about the CPU but can max out the RAM at 32 gigs of DDR4
