Another excellent episode! Perhaps you could put some iron railings on top of the brewery wall, if there's any suitable kits. Or maybe scratchbuild. I think that'd look quite smart and you could keep the wall too.
That's looking really nice. Have you considered putting a station along the new front section? The way the track runs really lends itself to it. I'm sure whatever you come up with will look really good 👍
I really like to see allotments or a ploughed field as all to offen these areas are static grass. Could this be a possibility for the abandoned builds area. Either way, I very much enjoy your watching videos.
Just a thought, heard you saying about a branch line station in the new wide part, maybe consider a little industry? And make use of your extra backdrop buildings? It’s close to the goods yard , where a switcher could come out and service them. Just a thought, don’t know how much operation you care to do, but just thought I’d put in my 2 cents, whatever you decide I’m sure it will look good!
Always lots of bits snd pieces to keep you busy! My feeling is avoid the branch station, although I get the extra play value, different type of trains and so on. By the time you have had to add new junctions on/off the mainline, a workable station with run-arounds etc, aren’t you in danger of making things “total track” and cluttered? I would prefer a small village and use those warehouse type buildings and keep the space more open.
Yeah, I’m with you on that. Decided against as I don’t need any more track. The whole point of extending was to create more scenic area so defeats the object if I place a station there! 👍
The Tunnel area looks great now .... I dont think a station would look right because there is poor bi-directional access. Maybe a simple halt just off the mainline would be fine, dead extra track but no more points. If you have the halt you won't need the road coming from the other direction. Run a small road or footpath from the edge to the signal box. Do not fence around the sidings of the Good Yard. Most yards are now half the size they once were. There is so much space behind the fence before you get to used track. If anything use clear Perspex's. Put a few trees near the end of the sidings if you have to "finish" the yard off. Yard fencing is always hard to model, Man height was common, but in the modern world twice that high is a minimum and just plain ugly. I like the Barrels but against the wall they look big, who cares, the sharpie colouring of the bands was a great idea. I suggest the buildings should be raised above the ground. Reason being older style buildings were built on top of the land not cut into it. You can then put shrubs and trees up against and inside the old buildings.
Beautiful layout! Really coming along!! Always enjoy your videos! And love the big steam!!
Thanks very much 😊

Thank you. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll have a look around 👍
Don't stress about the brewery yard 'security'. The wall is fine with no fencing or interpretation of higher security. GW
Thank you. I do seem to overthink things sometimes! 👍

Thanks. Yes, it could work. I’ve had a couple of suggestions for a station! 👍

Nice idea. thanks very much 👍
I definitely vote for a station! Id go the whole hog and put a 3 platform station up there so the upper circuit has more play value.
I am tempted…..
@@Grandadstrainroom-pn3tt I know it would be a lot of track relaying, but having two destinations stations on the layout would be a lot of fun

Thank you. Yes, I see what you mean about the station. Thanks for the other ideas - really helpful! 👍
