I was just assuming DE was thinking that if you DIDN’T like the original cutsie anime skater girl concept then here is the scary love child of a horseshoe crab and some kind of quadruped for ya! Crab Girl! Weaboos need not apply this time around! Crab Girl would be the arch enemy of Yareli in the Japanese TV anime series. Honestly it is gonna be weird seeing Crab Girl make the heart emote - somehow that doesn’t fit. She probably needs something more like an “I’m gonna attach myself to your head and suck your brains out” emote.
But yes, I prefer the one in the concept art that you were pointing to far better than either of the above.

the yareli skin works best just using the body for it and then using the new tennogen helmet with it

honestly the skin looks more Ivara than Hildryn or Yareli. Also it seems like more excalibur proportioned instead of yareli proportioned.

It is clear that the creative director is a woman :).
