Ohhh these straws are so amazing! I have had troubles with my tone and low notes. I see an improvement with only doing this once! I will be using these straws and videos everyday!!! Thank you so much. I feel more confident with singing so far . Your the best!!❤️
Interesting idea. I’ll see if i can practice this every day for a bit. I have habit of tensing my voice a lot on lows, and entering a pressed phonation, where my larynx raises all the way to the top, choking of my lows. That means i have a very strong voice, ubtil it just .. cuts off. Mind you i’m not particularily low voiced, with a fairly thinn straw i couldn’t get past a Eb2 in modal phonation, slightly higher than i’ve sung in lessons with my teacher, but accessing the low E and Eb was easier and more connected than it normally is and i got a more stable tone. Seems kinda promising. My first teacher actually thought i was a bass with tension issues starting out (current one’s fairly convinced I’m a baritone), wondering if this is gonna help me extend a few notes lower for classical rep. I kinda doubt it, but worth a shot. Thanks for sharing!
Very good! Could you do a video on, Onset. Certain words are hard to begin a song. If it begins with a B, and you're trying to sing soft, I find it difficult.
Is there a reason you suggest we use the widest diameter straw in the pro kit for this? Should we eventually use a smaller straw for this specific workout? I typically use the 4mm and sometimes 3mm for everyday use.
Always feel free to modify straw diameter for your vocal needs - if you feel like the 3mm works better for you on these exercises, use it! I tend to find a sweet spot resistance, use that 80% of the time, then go bigger if I'm tired/sick or working low notes, and go smaller if I'm working high notes, but it's singer's choice.
Hi, if i only have one straw (i bought the set with my sister and she has the other two)..can i still do the exercises in were you suggest to use two straws? Or can i for those just use a regular plastic straw for a bigger diameter?
Yes you can defintley still do it! But if you ever feel that the resistance is too much with just one straw, you may want to find a bigger diameter (Or ask your sister to borrow one HA) Good luck!
Yes! I have a problem with lower notes especially. Thanks and you are looking extra beautiful today ☺️
You're so welcome! And thank you, you're too kind :)
I've been waiting long for this thank you
You're welcome!! :)

Is it normal for my voice to be shaky through the straw at this range? I realize my higher range is more stable.
Yep!
