    Your voice is a muscle and if you're serious about wanting to learn to sing well then you need to strengthen that muscle. I can speak from experience, as someone who couldn't belt, twang, sing more than an octave and a bit and had massive pitching issues to someone who has been singing professionally for the last 15 years. I did at least 15 minutes exercising a day as well as singing through lots of material and within six months my voice made an incredible change. You can too.

      is it normal for a girl to sing low as E2 and high as A7?

    • @curleddoughnuts6857
      @curleddoughnuts6857 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      By the way I can't sing I downloaded an app to test my vocal range on a bad soar throat I get E2-A7 or B7, on a good day it goes as high as G8, these apps may not be accurate though...

    • @Anjalena
      @Anjalena 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@curleddoughnuts6857 Get a piano app and sing from the middle of the piano down as far as you can go. Just hold a note on the piano and sing that note. Then go down each. Mark the lowest note you can sing without your voice becoming weak and airy. Then, start again from the middle (C4) and sing along as you hit each note on the piano going up as far as you can go. See if it matches what that other app says. =)

    Hi Anna and Mark, Anna I love your teaching, I 'm a singer and I've been following you since last year. Twice or three times a week I try to make all the exercises of your weekly singing program and since I'm complying all the exercises from your great videos I can say that I'm singing better. I live in Italy and here there are great professors but I can only afford lessons with a coach once in a week just for an hour, so I tried to find something on You tube and I found you. Anna, you're the best of all. Now, let' s go to work and make these new exercises to strength the lower range, what else can I say to you guys ?, you are such a great team, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart!!

    I struggle, going high.. I can go soooo low, but getting higher is a challenge for me. Always has been. Even after lessons, in music class I was the only Contralto. My music teacher loved it, I felt singled out

    I found it helpful. I feel like I need to practise lower notes. I hit the D and C comfortably. Is it possible for you to make one with lowerer notes? Like for a male's pitch (I'm a tenor female). I really want to expand my pitch...and be able to sing extremely low notes as well as high notes.

    I've never done an exercise with a vocal creak before lol what's it do actually?

      It's specifically for the lowest notes to move away from the complete collapse of vocal fold closure that we hear when a note is too low to be held by the singer.

      Verba Vocal Technique ahhh smart!! Thank you lol I'm a low noted female so this was a nice warm up, helped me to see if I was singing from the right spots too.

    Hi!! Your videos are amazing 😍 I had two questions! When I sing high for a while, then I can’t seem to hit low notes well. How can I fix that?

    Thanks for this! As an alto 2 it helps me prep for treble choir rehearsal.
    If you happen to re-do the last exercise, might I suggest replacing the lyric "annoy" with "bother"? The unnatural text stress annoys me, lol.
