Dee won three immunities, only had two votes against the whole season, and got whoever she wanted out in the majority of votes, one of the better winning games in awhile yes she did get lucky a bit in the end, but all winners did get lucky at some point in the game. I understand her winning is a tad predictable and some people like unpredictable winners but she ran the show for all the season, you have to give her her flowers.
Survivor fans get mad at everything, it doesn’t matter who wins tbh. We complain that winners get bad edits, then we turn around and say the winner is too predictable when they get a good edit. Production can’t win. I’d much rather see the Dee winning edit where we see her moves, see her trajectory and get a satisfying conclusion to the season’s overarching story over the winner just kinda being there and randomly winning at the end a la Gabler or barely being featured for half the season a la Erika.
I think it's not so much how good or bad Dee is. It's how obviously it's been every second since the merge and no one wants to call Katurah retarded, but I'll scream it. I told the great Owen Kight that the second she made that move against Kaleb, they buried their hopes. No one else had the foresight to rally together the band of misfits. This idea that Katurah couldn't trust Jake is Ludacris. She's the least trustworthy person who has ever played from an alliance standpoint. She tried to gaslight Jake after making him swear on his nana but admitted in private to the cameras she fucked up. She gave Dee a cakewalk. Meanwhile, Katura has convinced Jake that rather than vote for Julie, they can blindside Dee. So, we have Austin voting for Julie (he thinks he has Jake and Katura as well). Dee only needed 1 bit of luck to go her way ( Keturah's epic fail at 5) but besides that she was in absolute control of the game so it made no sense for anyone else to win. Fun fact, this is the first time that the person brought to the end got 2nd and the winner of fire got 3rd.
Funny that you mentioned the pizza! I thought the same. The others are presumably on a regular eating schedule again being out of the game. And, Dee, Austin, and Jake all had huge breakfast.
"Only person in America not rooting for Jake"??? I didn't think many people were rooting for him. Everyone I know could not stand him. He was the only one left I definitely wanted to lose
I don’t think she had much of a relationship with Dee and she probably liked what she heard from Austin, which confirmed to her the already positive opinion she had of him. I don’t think it was like an anti Dee vote and if Kendra had a working relationship with her while still in the game she probably votes Dee instead.
Yes to the after show criticism ESPECIALLY since they all had a big finale watch party anyway? I feel like it would have been so easy to throw a couple cameras in there and do some interviews and updates?
I think both Katurah and Jake were wrong. Katurah’s strategy to change her vote made no sense, yet Jake made absolutely no sense to leave Katurah out of his plans simply to make a big shocking move. That obsession with shock and awe was Jake’s Achilles heel.
Jake votes for Dee. At the end his big thing was going to the fire for his own personal self worth reasons. Dee said she would honor those wishes and that meant a lot to him emotionally. I think she has his vote.
I came to love Jake and would have loved for him to win the whole thing, but there's no way he's winning that final challenge. It's Jake! He showed in all the other challenges he's not strong in coordination, balance, and ultimately always fumbles. Bless him.
I really thought Katurah was going to do something smart but she ruined her game and Jake’s game. She is not a good Survivor player! She was not loyal to anyone and too wishy washy! Sorry she ruined yesterday’s episode, had such high hopes for her. She should definitely stick to her day job. I think her problem is over thinking everything and that will help her more in her career.
The last challenge was tailor made for Dee to win it. Katurah blew it not taking Dee out of it. IMO Survivor wanted Dee to win it ALL and made it happen.
Lol that’s a reach and a half. They’ve done variations on this type of challenge before, they just mashed two elements from two different comps to spice things up as they had been criticized for a lack of challenge variety. Anyone could’ve won that comp and they had no way of knowing Dee would even be there at the end when they created the challenge, she probably hadn’t even been cast yet.
I see that people are salty that their boy (Jake) didn't win, taking it out on the sista (Katurah), but Jake gave Dee the win - NOT Katurah. He messed up, first of all, by TELLING AUSTIN that he had an idol, who, of course, would tell Dee, immediately. Katurah was SET on voting on Dee, but felt that she had no choice but to go along with what she believed was the majority vote. Jake could have allowed everyone to waste their vote on HIM, leaving his vote (for Dee) as the only valid vote ..and remember: Katurah, initially, was set on voting on Dee, as well. He messed up in telling team Reba, giving away his power
@Evzsz Her "screw up" was understandable - WHY should she trust Jake, when he, automatically, revealed to Austin (who he knew was closely attached to Dee) that he had an idol? I'm sure this left Katurah confused, believing she'd be blind-sided, because before finding that out, she was determined to separate Dee from Austin ...I mean, what was the point of Jake voting on Dee, after giving her the heads up ?
Hot take - The finale (and season) focused waaaaay too much on Jake. It’s frustrating because it seemed like this finale was so focused on giving him more screentime than either Dee or Austin. He hogged way too much attention.
tbh I’ve felt the whole season Jake was getting too much airtime. It was obvious he would make it to the end and it was even more obvious that Jake was never gonna win it
Agreed, just hone it in a liiiiittle bit. His content was great but given that he’s a losing finalist, some of his screentime could’ve been alotted to other players. It’s hard to criticize this edit tho imo, I feel like pretty much everyone got their time to shine and this has easily been the most balanced edit of any season.
They won't admit it, but they vicariously played through Jake ...and although he still would have lost to Austin, they would have rather he had not lost to this "female" ...So, that's why they are up in here, trying to take it all out on Katurah, and playing down Dee's victory

@@LuisZunigaPRI ..Although I was disappointed with how Katurah was SO set against Bruce (I figured that had to do with her having "daddy" issues - Bruce probably reminded her of her religious daddy, who she may have saw as "controlling"), I wouldn't say that she was "so bad" in that she had the social skills, OBVIOUSLY, to stay in the game as long as she did ...Katurah was less of a physical player, and more of a social player ...I understand her being unsure w/ Jake (he had no actual alliances), which is why Jake should have been more revealing (to Katurah) with his plan ...but in my opinion, he should not have said ANYTHING about having an idol ..and WHY would he reveal that to Reba? I think that Jake wanted to (finally) feel in a position of power, eager to reveal that he had some power to Reba ...That's where he messed up ..but the right person won the game, IMO, although I was rooting more for Austin.
Rob’s impressions at the end 😂
I still think Yam Yam is the best winner of the new era. Don’t think people talk enough about how his social game may have been the best ever. Plus he was a strong strategic player
No one knows who he is! They lost half their fan base after season 41 exposed. People tune in for the 1st episode and see no hot women or men, 5050 diversity and beta male white men. They lost the recipe to get the normies to watch. Now it's a ghost of its former self. The real gold is the library of season 1 to 40
@@brentmichael4770 This person didn't even mention anything about seasons prior to 41. The comment says "new era" which refers to 41+. Also plenty of people are still fans and tune in to watch. This podcast wouldn't be here if that was the case.
It definitely wasn’t the best ever since Carson would have beat him
Carolyn was my winner pick
We need Jesse to be a regular on this podcast!!!
I loved Jesse!!!!!! was so mad when he didn't win ❤....I really liked Jake but his strategic play was not there..
Just here for Jesse.
Can’t believe we almost had 3 Latin winners back to back 😂🔥
So satisfying to end a season with a solid winner like Dee.
Dee only needed 1 bit of luck to go her way ( Keturah's epic fail at 5) but besides that she was in absolute control of the game so it made no sense for anyone else to win.
Fun fact, this is the first time that the person brought to the end got 2nd and the winner of fire got 3rd.
Dee did well with the bowl stacking but should have been out. Thanks Katurah
🤣🤣🤣 I LOVE you guys energy together... so funny yet so true commentary!
I thought I was on the wrong page because I watch hoops too. Can't believe my favorite NBA crew is recapping my favorite show!
Yes def Rob n Jess - do this again! I was LMAO!!! Good chemistry 😂
Kendra voted Austin why? Every other vote I understand.
She said in her exit interview she was working with Austin, Drew & Emily since they were tgt on Belo tribe post swap.
What were they referncing at 50:47 about Gabler having one extra thing??
Maybe I'm just really high but I love this Rob Jesse in person dynamic
I think both Katurah and Jake were wrong. Katurah’s strategy to change her vote made no sense, yet Jake made absolutely no sense to leave Katurah out of his plans simply to make a big shocking move. That obsession with shock and awe was Jake’s Achilles heel.
Jake votes for Dee. At the end his big thing was going to the fire for his own personal self worth reasons. Dee said she would honor those wishes and that meant a lot to him emotionally. I think she has his vote.
Dee did THAT!!!!!!
They need to stop having 3 finalists. Jake was pretty much ignored and got zero votes. That is humiliating and sad. Stick to two finalists.
Jesse was a great guest 🛎️
I don’t even watch the Survivor after show anymore
I came to love Jake and would have loved for him to win the whole thing, but there's no way he's winning that final challenge. It's Jake! He showed in all the other challenges he's not strong in coordination, balance, and ultimately always fumbles. Bless him.
Hey @RHAP Rob, do you ever speak to anyone from Survivor Amazon?
katurah is one of the worst players of All-time poor decision making all freaking season 🤦
I really thought Katurah was going to do something smart but she ruined her game and Jake’s game. She is not a good Survivor player! She was not loyal to anyone and too wishy washy! Sorry she ruined yesterday’s episode, had such high hopes for her. She should definitely stick to her day job. I think her problem is over thinking everything and that will help her more in her career.
hi jesse!!!
I did have a glimpse of hope for Jake winning. But not disappointed with a Dee win.
Why did Emily say that thing about “don’t spend any of the money on that boy”? That was weird
seemed very weird given how gracious Austin has been of her moves against him. Emily lost a brownie point with me for that one!
I think she was trying to be funny or chummy with Dee? I thought it was weird too
Because misogyny
@@MegsTalks2 How did Austin show signs of misogyny?
It was obviously a joke. 😂 You’re reaching
People are giving Jake a little too much credit.
Love when Jesse is on😊
So many people sour that Jake lost saying Dee didn't deserve the win is ridiculous
They won't admit it, but they vicariously played through Jake ...and although he still would have lost to Austin, they would have rather he had not lost to this "female" ...So, that's why they are up in here, trying to take it all out on Katurah, and playing down Dee's victory
@@josephdepina6191 Calm down, dude.
@@josephdepina6191 ...Passing you a joint ...You - I mean, Jake STILL would have lost. You're just even more DISTURBED that he lost to this female, whose social AND physical game was more ON POINT. The End.
Oh yeah ..and btw ...I was rooting for Austin ...but I can give Dee her props.
Yes! Jesse come back again!!!
Come on bro. Not that hard to dominate this field. It was like watching my daughter JV team go against Varsity. And I guarantee Austin is sitting somewhere without a girl and short 1 million dollars in his bank account. 😂❤
Dee was strategic in how she betrayed Austin regarding Julie and sharing about it in the end which is why she won. With that said, Austin would be crazy to continue with her because she has already shown him that he cannot trust her.
It was a game, not life. If he's mature this won't factor into their relationship
@carlasmith9093 life is a game too.
Would you break up with your significant other because they kill you in Mafia? They were playing a game for money, and they knew what they were signing themselves up for. Betraying someone in Survivor says nothing about your character in real life.
@@jimnam4444 is it really?
@@carlasmith9093 I was just kidding!!!
I have to say your father in law is not the only person. All season long I couldn't stand Jake. I can't even tell you why! From the moment he first spoke I just couldn't stand him, I was highly annoyed with him and couldn't believe they couldn't vote him out. To me he came across as the bumbling idiot. Which I'm sure he's not in real life, you don't become a prosecutor as a bumbling idiot, but there you have it. 🤷🏾♀️ can't stand the guy. He's the only one I was hoping didn't make it to the end.
so dee won, I got spoiled but there were no relase on the internet so Idc
Katurah said she thought votes were coming her way and Julie was the name she thought was most likely to have a vote out there so she went that way.
But she knew Jake was voting Dee
@@hunterbyrd7885not in her mind…she didn’t trust that jake was telling the truth. she should’ve though, jake is a lot of things but he’s definitely not a liar😭😭😭😭
She agreed to write down Dee. Jake actually played rhe best
Then you had Jake swear on his Nana. How dare you betray him. Katurah did you really think you could beat Dee? Girl bye
Listening to Jesse justify why Gabler won 🙄
Also someone tell me about all of these other fan favorites that lost at fire making?🤔
Gabler's win was inevitable once Jesse lost at fire. I'm not sure why people thought either Cassidy or Owen had a chance at f3.
While there may have been some bitterness towards Cassidy, the Jury went in undecided (For the most part) and Gabler did the best at convincing them to vote for him. I don't understand why people don't get that. It's not rocket science.
Jake Outplayed, outfitted and outlasted. Katurah is to blame. Unreal
Austin needs to recognize Dee's red flags, she ain't a keeper.
what red flags?
she did what she had to do to win…
