I also make curd at home however in UK it is challenging to set it because it’s very cold. I set the curd in an insulated pot. I love the many uses of the greek yoghurt, your texture has come out so rich and creamy , perfect for Srikand. Having the right starter is also very important for the yoghurt to set.
It is so gratifying to make Greek yoghurt at home. I seldom buy from market. Always like to make it fresh at home. It has so many uses and can be flavored in numerous way. 👌
The simplest receipt I've ever heard of. But in India, it must always be very hot if you can leave your future yogurt at room temperature. In cooler countries, we must keep it warm for 6 hours. That's why we have even special electric yogurt makers.
You are right where I live is hot and humid. In winter the North India gets cold and we have some methods of making yogurt, we call it jugaad. Like my mom used to use an old woollen hat, my friend uses the microwave. If I want the yogurt fast I will also keep the pot in the pressure cooker when the water is warm.Electric yogurt makers have still not made an appearance as yet but we will get them eventually.

Hmm the rich and creamy flavour is something I really enjoy.
So much cheaper to make Greek style yogurt at home and very easy. I love to have it some fruit in the mornings.
I totally agree! Especially to mangoes.

Nice thick and creamy curd. We can consume it plain or add some fruits and nuts too.
Yes, you are right
