Great review and playing Rachel! Well done #Mooer This is what innovation looks like #Gibsonguitars ! The built in receiver and FX are genius. The headless is very handy for tight stages and cramped home studios 👍🏻
I have another headless, Q52, and it's the most I use, due to it's very very easy playability. It's so comfortable, I love to practice, and play on it. Of course I also love other guitars.
Hm, the wireless system adds some latency. As I am playing via notebook and amp sim I don't want to add further latency. Yet you have an incredible nice personality - thanks! 💚
Whilst it states 25.5” scale, fanned fret guitars will have longer scale length on the lower strings. The low E is clearly around an inch longer than the high e here. Look at the difference in scale at 12th fret and double it. :)
I'm a home hobby "rip apart guitars and make custom ML style Guitars for myself... I'm thinking. I may be able to install the electric system out of this guitar into a custom ML style Guitar I've built..... because it's the shape and feel I'm used to. Along with a Floyd Rose... Then I would be happy with that.. . Pondering how much they go for on the used market?
Too new to be on the used market. You may be better off with a Mooer Prime 2. I’m contemplating the same kind of build with one. Of course in a different donor guitar.
I wonder if I could swap out a pickup or two? Or if it's wiring would be less compatible?! It really shouldn't be a problem if it's just a wireless jack system... But maybe the effects might be radical different with different pickups?
The fan fret or Multi-scale guitar design was built for more accurate tuning. The fatter lower strings need a slightly longer neck than the smaller lighter strings.. ever look at e harp.. So in the past, you could buy a Gibson with a 25 1/2 inch neck or a fender with a 27 inch neck.. later EVH was noted as the 1st to put a Humbucker (Gibson) pickup in a Fender body.. .. so the different size necks had different tones, think of the fan neck as bridging the gap...
I once tried a headless Steinberger a friend purchased when they first came out, and I had a difficult time because I must "sight" where I am on the fretboard based on distance from the headstock. I'm sure I'd get used to it, but my question would be the adjustment time when switching back and forth between the modified guitar and a traditional type. That's also my question about the fanned frets... when you switched back to one of your other guitars was there a re-adjustment time? I do love the finish! The purple one would be brilliant. 💜 Being completely wireless would be great for at home practicing; being able to just pick up the guitar and move freely from room to room. 😊
That is an interesting question! I actually personally haven't noticed much of a difference/adjustment between headless and normal guitars when switching back and forth, but I have mainly been playing this one recently to fully try it out for this video. I can totally see how that could be a thing to adjust to depending on how you move around the guitar though! The fanned frets I haven't had much of an issue with after getting used to them initially, but I suppose if you played only fanned for a long time it could take a little while to get re-accustomed with normal frets. But I feel like it would only take around an hour or so. I probably have to send this guitar back, otherwise I'd be happy to test that out more to verify! I do love the purple/blue color, but this one is cool too :)
That guitar looks good on you, lol 😂 it was only a matter of time before someone came out with onboard effects and wireless capabilities. Brilliant! You get better every video it seems. But that’s how it should be. Cool guitar and video as well. 🎸🤓🌎☮️❤️

Hi Rach....I bought an 800 months ago. I like it just fine even though you could not get the color I wanted (black) but I inquired if I could BUY the new electronics to get the wireless and they wouldn't consider it. Even though I have a ton of mooer stuff. I would have paid pretty much anything they wanted, I just didn't want to buy another whole new guitar from them. They claimed the PLUG IN electronics might not be compatible with the pick up in the 800 (preposterous) so they have no interest in selling me the new parts FOR A GUITAR I BOUGHT FROM THEM. So...they're off my Christmas card list. If they won't even support a loyal customer I can't see spending money with them again. Just so you know.
