    I will never be staying in that new hotel. My parents owned a condo across the street from the new construction on magnolia ave for over a decade, and my grandfather was born and raised in wildwood crest, I know the area super well, such a disappointment to see such a heinous, bland, building be approved by the city council....so out of character for the surrounding architecture. thumbs down from this third generation community member.

    I've got to chime in. I luv your updates, but your putting your hand in the frame, and worse, pointing to things, you are talking about, I find extremely annoying. There is no reason to point your finger, just point your camera. We'll see it.

    My only issue with visting the Wildwoods is there are too many condos today.
    No reason to knock down so many of those awesome 1950s/1960s Doo Wop motels. Bigger is not always better....
    Sure, there must be some change but not everyone wants to buy or rent a condo at the shore. A room for a few nights at the Crusader, Fleurs, Adventurer or similar is just fine for many of us who have been visiting the Wildwoods since the 1970s.

    I remember when what is now called the Ocean View was known as the Admiral East. That was in the 80s and early 90s. Not sure when it changed names, but that place was built in the early 60s I believe, like most of the hotels right around there. Things are so different there now. There was a major rebuilding there in the 2002 - 2005 time period, where a lot of the hotels were converted to condos. It didn't look at all like what I remembered from the early 90s in 2005. I haven't been back there in 9 years, so I can't imagine how different it must be now.

    My family built and owned the Royal Court Motel 1950s-1990s. It was the first motel in Wildwood, Crest, and North Wildwood to have a deck pool. Also the first motel to have a large neon lights on the roof. Originally the sign was on the roof of phase II section where the ground pool is located. When phase III was built on the corner of Atlantic and Baker the sign was moved to that roof. In the 50s and 60s the motel had the carribean lights. Motel was painted white with aqua trim. Original Mickey Mouse club came to the Shore Theater. Hunt kept it hush hush no one knew only those inside the theater. After the sing along they boarded their bus and were gone. Great memories of Wildwood. Enjoy your videos. Your videos are historical. I wish someone had done the same back in the hey day.

      @daveyoder9231 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're absolutely right, but many places call them both sewers, storm sewers, for rainwater street drainage, or sanitary sewers, the latter meaning untreated wastewater pipes. Wasn't too many years ago when shore towns used to dump raw sewage through outfall pipes straight into the ocean or back bays.

    The recent real estate market changes... so unprecedented. those townhomes are gonna sell no matter what but ONE YEAR AGO interest rates were 2.2% and now over 7%. If this were done a year ago there would be a line of people to buy. Real Estate agents may have to work a little to sell these places. ha

    I know the previous owners of the Golden Rail Motel on 17th sold to Montego Bay across the street, and I heard that in the off-season they're going in to fix or remove and replace since a number of things inside the rooms and structure are rather dated. Even with that, the structure is old enough in construction to be a Faraday cage so getting internet and cell reception is rather difficult if not near the front of the rooms. I doubt there will be much to look into for that as part of an update, but I just know it's happening.
