Really? That's Ridic! I think I know why... Cuz they want the world to look at these "stars" like they ARE. God's. Spiritually enlightened and inhabited. But, guess what... THEY ARE ONLY PEOPLE! They sold their soul, but they die like the rest of us. It's what comes LATER (Not here) that matters.

I believe we are the last generation to have enjoyed life. The generation before us had the best life. Now I feel so sorry for my children and grandchildren. Marriage is a thing of the past and relationship will now last no longer than a few years if there even that strong. Everyday values drop and civil rights are taken from people to protect the public.. 1984 has truly arrived.

"Welcome Back, Kotter" was one of my favorite 70's sitcoms. I'm 73, so I grew up in the 50's and 60's. I identified with the show's characters and stories as my high school experience was somewhat close to the show, especially the "Sweathogs" and the girls that frequently made my life less than bearable! I'm sad to see that some of my favorite actors are now deceased. Thank you for a very nice retrospect on the show, its characters and actors.

Loved that show! In 1975, when this aired, I was 14. Sometimes when you're young, you don't always know why you find a show appealing, but you do. Maybe because it dealt with High School and I was in School! So, it was relatable to me! I'm glad I was alive and at the age to enjoy the actors, the characters and the show itself!
Back then, it was a great time to be alive! As you can see by videos like this, you never know how many days you have. Enjoy what you have, be thankful and laugh a little.

Back in the early 80s I used to watch reruns of welcome back kotter and Sanford and son after I got home from school. Those were my favorite shows back then. I have watched all the episodes of welcome back kotter and Sanford and son over and over on and off over the years and never got tired of them. Best shows ever and very funny.

2005 Debra Lee Scott that was the saddest one of all..
her police fiance was one of the ones that died in 9/11 when the towers collapsed.
she just couldn't overcome her grief she turned to the bottle and she drank so heavily that within less than five years she killed her liver..she had slowly started to come out of her shell and was trying to rehab in a way but by the time she agreed to move down to Florida within a few days of moving in with her mother she died.. cars with cirrhosis of the liver..the 9/11 tragedy and losing her fiance was such a emotional toll that within less than five years she drank so hard and heavily she had no liver when she passed away in 2005
