    • @electrifiedreviews
      @electrifiedreviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      TomaCukor ya there’s a lot of copies of this on Alibaba for like 4 large. of course as with anything exceptional, quality comes at a price. Sur-Ron looks dope though. have you tried it? can it pedaled or is it more like a motorcycle?

    • @Hunter_Bidens_Crackpipe_
      @Hunter_Bidens_Crackpipe_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@electrifiedreviews I built my own bike, but it is very similar to Sur ron in power and range. There are pedal sets available for it, but they look like toys. Realistically, you are best off registering the Sur ron as a moped. The difficulty varies by country/state, it is very cheap and easy in Cali, been done before.

    • @electrifiedreviews
      @electrifiedreviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      TomaCukor wow mad respect, TomaCukor. building your own electric bike takes some serious skill. you ever thought about making a tutorial?

    • @Hunter_Bidens_Crackpipe_
      @Hunter_Bidens_Crackpipe_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I built it up from a frame kit for about 2/3rd the cost, it is not for the faint heart, and every mistake costs you a lot of money and time. Apparently there is a new frame version coming, so it would be outdated by the time I made a tutorial. I built it because I couldn't find anything in the 4-6kw range that still looks like a bike.
      But if you live in a place where you aren't constrained to stealth the Sur ron is a much better prospect. Better waterproofing and reliability than a DIY build. They use automotive grade components for the most part. It cost these guys in Cali $21 and 12 days to register, no mods needed to the bike. I would say this is as close as a no-brainier as it gets if you want a machine like this.

    Not sure but it will make a difference. Use the gravity you have also down hill to save battery power by rolling. When peddling make sure you change gear nicely and make sure it’s in the gear you want before putting loads of pressure on the pedals as this may of been why my gearbox went at just over 1000 miles. It’s easy to get half a gear by error when in a rush to pedel fast.

And before you say they do nothing for the industry you should thank Trek for introducing Boost hubs to mountain biking as well as countless other technologies. Furthermore they consistently produce some of the best bikes every year among reviewers (Slash and new Remedy being some of the most critically acclaimed MTBs of the past 2 model years). Additionally Trek's resources as a huge brand allows them to bring costs down while still providing quality bikes, which of course brings MTB to more people and gets more people out on the trails which is good for everyone. I havent even mentioned their customer/dealer support, their contribution to charities such as PeopleForBikes etc. IDK it just seems like they do a lot for the mountain bike industry. 14kw?!?! wow that's intense. did you build it yourself?

      @eliasshedd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well considering I've never seen a 15 kilowatt motor on the market, and you know seems suddenly quiet when asked did you make it yourself?
      My guess is your 14 kilowatt is BS

    • @eliasshedd
      @eliasshedd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      14 kilowatts is huge! Get you don't want to brag about it or tell us how awesome it is.
      Perhaps you confused 14 kilowatts with 1.4 kilowatts.
      Because if it really was 14 kilowatts that would make it the largest electric bike we had ever seen any yet you are so silent.
      It is as if you're 14 kilowatt bike was total BS

    • @eliasshedd
      @eliasshedd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow 14kw bike huh? I would believe you if you could answer you just a few basic questions.
      What voltage is the battery?
      What is your Peak amp draw on that battery?
      How many kilowatts is the charger?
      How many hours does it take to charge the battery from 0%?
      Then I could give you three hours and you still will not be able to do the math enough to even lie to give me an answer.
      How do I know that?
      Because no one would throw shade on this man then claim a 14kw bike is just a regular thing.

  • @normand5847
    @normand5847 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a nice looking bike and I imagine a lot of fun. That price though. I've never spent more than $11,000 on a motorcycle. And I have a Harley and did own a CBR 929RR, that I bought of the showroom floor. I can't see that much money for a bicycle frame. They took my license, so I'm looking at e bikes. Are the peddles there just for appearance to look like a bicycle? Can you peddle that thing without the motor running? Doesn't look like much of a crank sprocket to move it by peddling alone.

    • @electrifiedreviews
      @electrifiedreviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      good points, Norman. you can easily buy a lot of other electric bikes that will accomplish a lot of what the Stealths can but of course the Bomber will always stand apart. the pedals are useful actually and it uses a 9-speed sequential Vboxx for shifting so you can help pedal up hills and still have a good cadence at top speed

    • @Rick8231
      @Rick8231 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@electrifiedreviews Thank you Brent. These machines are so reliable, there isn't much in the way of maintenance. Throw some lube on the chain once in a while. Don't pressure wash it. Rinse the Vboxx out with WD40 and replace the grease every 4000 miles. Suspension and shock service once in a while. Thats about it. In all fairness, even though the battery still works, it does need to be replaced due to voltage sag during wide open throttle session. But after 7 years, thats to be expected. Anyway keep the vids coming amigo.

      @electrifiedreviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rick8231 that's really cool to hear. do you ever put in WD40 in the motor? have you had any issues with rusting over time? glad to hear you've been able to enjoy this beast for so long. i've put about 100 miles on it so far and i still grin every time i hop on. thanks for the encouraging words and more videos on this one (and the rest of the Stealth lineup) coming soon!

    • @Rick8231
      @Rick8231 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@electrifiedreviews Not in the motor. That little vent hole that is on the sprocket side of the motor, get some T9 Boeshield spray and spray that stuff into the motor while rotating the wheel, then quickly ride it for a couple of minutes and that should coat the magnets inside the motor to prevent rusting. Do this once a year. I live in Fallon NV, we average 4 inches of rain here and no humidity most of the time. The bay area is alot more humid and lot more rain fall so rust prevention will pay off down the road.

    Except the heavy rear wheel there are a lot of advantages,
    As already commented, the chain and sprockets, but also less moving parts,quiet, relible,less deley from hand to wheel(very importent , respond time).

    Hi Brent, I am working on an earlier version of this bike for a friend and am having a Lithium Ion battery made for it to replace the Lithium Phosphate that it came with. Do you know if this new one is Lithium Ion? The support has been minimal from the two California dealers. They wanted to sell me another obsolete/dangerous Phosphate pack for $2,500. It will cost $1,200 to $1,250 for a Li-Ion using Samsung 30Q cells with a 72V BMS, which is what we are in the process of. Drive fast and take chances, Barclay.

      @electrifiedreviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      what up, Barclay! yes i believe these are li-ion cells. bummer to hear about the support from the California dealers, especially since that's my home state. have you tried reaching out to Stealth HQ in Australia? will definitely drive fast and take chances, my friend. same to you, and ride safe!
